“Swachhta Pakhwada”:Gram Panchayats organizes Gram Sabha Meeting to Chalk-Out the Strategy

Chandigarh 03^rd October:- As a part of observance of the “Swachhta Pakhwada” in the area of U.T. villages, all the Gram Panchayats organized Gram Sabha meeting today to chalk-out the strategy for the “Swachhta Pakhwada”.  The strategy contains day-wise activities of cleanliness campaign and brings awareness among the rural masses regarding importance of sanitary and clean environment in villages and their surroundings. All the Gram Panchayats also carried a special campaign in their area today.   

To boost up the morale of the villagers and to encourage them for participation in cleanliness activities, Ranjit Kaur, Director Rural Dev. & Panchayats, UT, Chandigarh herself attended the cleanliness campaign at village Daria, UT, Chandigarh.  Sunder Lal, Block Development & Panchayat Officer, UT, Chandigarh attended the cleanliness activities during the Swachhta campaign at village Daria & Behlana and Mauli Jagran, whereas the other officials of the Panchayat Department supervised the campaign in remaining villages.
