10th I.J. Dewan Memorial Educational Workshop entitled “ Organs Talk-Time to take Prevention” Starts

Chandigarh 22^nd August:- First day of the 10^th I.J. Dewan Memorial Educational Workshop entitled “ Organs Talk - Time to take Prevention” was conducted by the Department of Anatomy, PGIMER, Chandigarh today. It was attended by the students of Gian Jyoti School, Mohali, SD Vidya School, Ambala Cantt, Ashiana Children Home, Panchkula and Mukand Lal public school, Yamunanagar.  The workshop was inaugurated by the Maj Gen M.S. Kandal, Swami Nishtha Nand ji and Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh. It was followed by the cultural programme. The students were made aware about the serious consequences of antibiotic abuse, drinking alcohol, smoking, having transfats, excessive use of mobile phones and driving without helmet. After attending the demonstrations, many children pledged to quit junk food, misuse of mobile phones and antibiotics. Evening session was attended by the public.
