September:- Chandigarh Traffic
Police has organized Road Safety Exhibition/Workshop at Chandigarh Institute of
Engineering and Technology (CIET), Sector 26, Chandigarh. In this road safety awareness programme
Shashank Anand, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Security, traffic marshals and CTP staff
participated. Talk on road safety was also
delivered by SSP/Traffic. More than 500
students of the above said institute participated in this road safety awareness
programme. Traffic marshals have also
performed a skit titled “Paigam” during this road safety function. More than
500 road safety awareness pamphlets/literatures and 50 CDs on road safety were
also distributed to the students and staff.
Chandigarh Traffic
Police is regularly conducting such road safely awareness programmes in different
schools/colleges to create traffic awareness amongst the students, who are the
future road users.
