MTPA India Conduct Roadshow in Chandigarh

Chandigarh 27th February:- MTPA India conducted a five city Roadshow in Chandigarh, Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Kolkata from 27th February to 4th March 2017. The objective of the event was to offer Indian travel partners an opportunity to become acquainted with the destination and meet the hoteliers, DMCs and activity companies.
Sanjay Sondhi, Managing Director, OM Tourism said that this Roadshow will serve as a great platform for the Indian tour operators to have a meaningful dialogue with the 23 suppliers from Mauritius that include hotels, DMCs and activity companies.
The Roadshow was led by Vivek Anand, Country Manager; MTPA India said that the response of the travel trade partners was amazing. The objective of the Roadshow was to update the travel fraternity and help them forge business ties with the Mauritius suppliers. He added that we have seen a growth of 15% in Indian tourist arrivals last year, taking the number to 83,000. We are targeting 100,000 tourists in 2017, which is an increase of 20% over 2016. We expect a healthy growth in the MICE and Wedding segment and will be promoting Mauritius as a destination ‘Beyond the Beach’. More and more Indian travelers are planning to travel to the affordable luxury destination, Mauritius. We are getting enquiries for a few Indian weddings. Producers are also showing interest in shooting Bollywood movies in Mauritius.
Vivek Anand, while describing the tagline “Mauritius- It’s a pleasure” said that Mauritius offers amazing activities for adventure lovers like sky diving, zip lining, quad biking, sea karting, submarine rides, helicopter tours and also a life time experience of walking with the lions. Rum and tea tasting tours are also gaining popularity among the tourists. Those who are sports minded, can enjoy a game of Golf at one of the many championship level courses in Mauritius. Book on Law Entrance Released in City

Y.A.R.O ka Tashan:Mr. X to Put Mumbai in Danger

Chandigarh 27th February:- The new superhero in the town, ‘Yo-Man’ (Aniruddh Dave) is seen helping cops and fighting the goons in the show Y.A.R.O ka Tashan which airs on SAB from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm. Yo-Man has to crack yet another problem. But this time he will have to deal with Mother Nature. A sudden weather change in Mumbai is about to cause major disruption. At the same time, the Friends Colony is in party mood as they gear up to celebrate Mr and Mrs Agarwal (Rakesh Bedi and Malini Kapoor) 25th wedding anniversary. But Mr. X is keeping a close watch on all the carousal.  
In the forthcoming track, Mr. X (Ajay Sharma) who has been playing his tactics to control the city, he invents a new machine which has the ability to drastically change the weather of any location. With this ‘snow storm’ machine, he can make Mumbai colder by the minute, so much so that there will be snowfall and temperature as low as -20 degrees. Things will start to freeze everywhere; people will start falling seriously ill and even dying. By doing this, he plans to hold the government at ransom, only once his demands are meant will he let the city live its routine life. Yo-Man is amidst this chilly situation where he wants his parents to have the best anniversary celebration ever but also wants to find out the reason behind this weather change.
Commenting on the episode, Ajay Sharma a.k.a Mr. X said that he wish it could happen in real and Mumbai would get snowy but not the way Mr. X is planning. It was great fun shooting these tracks though some part of it was graphics. The best part was Mr. X get to control the weather in Mumbai. He loved the feeling where he could control the weather at least on screen. The visuals of this track will be a treat to watch and he is sure it would be appealing to the audiences too.

St.Joan’s Public School Organizes Competition Mom ‘n’ Me for Kids

Chandigarh 27th February:- St. Joan’s Public School, Zirakpur hosted a grand competition Mom ‘n’ Me for kids from 2 to 5 years. Kids participated in the various competitions like ‘Toddler’s Trot, most healthy baby, Artist of the day. The parents participated in the most aware parent competition. Sanvi Matta and Anish Verma were the winners at Toddler’s Trot and the prize for the most aware parent grabbed by Mrs and Mr. Tarun Bansal.


PGI Faculty Wins Best Paper Award

Chandigarh 27th February:- Dr Madhu Gupta, Additional Professor of Community Medicine in School of Public Health has received  Dr R N Roy Award for the best paper published in Indian Journal of Public Health in the 61st National Conference of Indian Association of Public Health which was held in AIIMS Jodhpur. Her paper has reported inequities in awareness and utilization of reproductive and sexual health services among adolescents in Chandigarh, North India.

Sarthi Charitable Trust Donates Books Great Men to Chandigarh School

Chandigarh 27th February:- Chairman of Sarthi Cheritable Trust Nand Lal  donated many books of great men to Maharishi Dayanand Public School Daria, Chandigarh. It includes Maharana Pratap, Jawaharlal Nehru,Narayan Murti,  Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, Bhagwan Mahavir, J.P. Narayan, Lala Lajpat Roy, Sachin Tendulkar, Tatyan Tope, Satyajit Ray, Chanakya, Dhirubhai Ambani, Leo Tolstoy, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mandela, Amartya Sen, Sarojini Naidu, Aurobindo, Vallabhbhai Patel, Jim Corbett, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, etc. Many biographies books of great men in Hindi and English presented to the school library.
School principal Dr. Vinod Kumar said that books of great men given by Nand  Lal will inspire the students. He thanked  Nand Lal for donating  books for the library.
