Property Tax to be Abolished in Mohali:Balbir Sidhu

Chandigarh 23rd January:- The Congress government, if elected , will abolish house and property tax in Mohali.  The residents are under undue financial pressure besides mental harassment due to these taxes.  Keeping this in mind, we will abolish it. This was stated by Balbir Sidhu the Congress candidate during his poll campaign at phase 7 here today.
Balbir Sidhu said further that Capt Amarinder Singh government had given top preference for Mohali development. It was in fact a matter of great pride for Mohali to get district status under Congress govt. Similarly this time after the formation of Congress government, all problems of Mohali will be solved within 6-months.
He said that the local bus service will be started in Mohali. The all efforts will be done to set up an international level basic infrastructure in Mohali. Implementing need-base policy in Mohali will also be our main agenda so that residents of town can expand their houses as per their requirements.
Later addressing a poll rally at Bhagomajra village, Balbir Sidhu said that today our state is being seen as example of misrule and depravity. The Congress after coming to power will redeem the lost honour of Punjab. We will not tolerate any compromise of our social honors. We will start programs to bring back our youth back in main streamline who at present are destroying their lives by becoming addict to drugs.
Balbir Sidhu said that creating ample employment opportunities to youth in state will be prime focus of Congress government. For this we will try to revive the industrial growth in state which is missing from the past one decade.


State Bank of India organizes Cultural Programme

Chandigarh 23rd January:- State Bank of India Circle Welfare Committee, Chandigarh Circle organized a cultural evening at Chandigarh.  Anil Kishora, Chief General Manager, SBI, Chandigarh Circle lighted the lamp to start the Cultural Evening consisting of mesmerizing evening of songs and dances at jam-packed auditorium of St. Stephen's School, Sector 45 B, Chandigarh. Performers were mainly from State Bank of India staff and their family members.
Speaking on the occasion Anil Kishora elaborated that such programmes are a part of SBI's Welfare programme which they hold to encourage and strengthen the staff to meet the challenges and customer needs in the Banking Industry. 
On the occasion various top officials viz. Social Welfare Deptt. organizes First Pride Fashion Show for Empowerment of Divyangjan

Chandigarh 23rd January:- The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development Chandigarh Administration organized the First Pride Fashion Show for Empowerment of Divyangjan at Tagore Theatre today. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament U.T. Chandigarh was the chief guest on this occasion.
The Fashion show was organized with the theme of inspiring empowerment of Divyangjan. 152 Divyangjan from different institutions i.e. SOREM, VATIKA, PARYAAS, GRIID, Institute for the Blind, National Association for Blind (NAB), Aasha Kiran etc participated in the Fashion Show. The participants of the Fashion Show were from different disabilities which included Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, intellectually Challenged, Physically Challenged and Cerebral Palsy. Department of Social Welfare with assistance of UIFT & VD and ENACTUS, Panjab University made this event a successful one.
The Department also released an information Guide “SAARTHI” today. The guide contains all the details relating to schemes/benefits available not only in the Social Welfare Department but also covering the benefits being provided by other Departments of Chandigarh Administration. It also highlights the initiatives/efforts by the Department of Social Welfare, U.T. Chandigarh to enable Divyangjan show to the world their strength of character, energy and positive attitude. It is an Information Guide for the Divyangjan in particular and the public in general. This booklet has been released in both English and Hindi versions and in all the variants i.e. Braille (English & Hindi) and Audio (English & Hindi) keeping in mind the target groups.

Administration Launch e-Awas for Allotment of Govt. Houses of “Chandigarh Administration General Pool”

Chandigarh 23rd January:- Chandigarh Administration has launched e-Awas with the help of N.I.C, Chandigarh for allotment of Government houses of “Chandigarh Administration General Pool” in future. The training of complete e-Awas project of Chandigarh Administration was given to the Nodal Officers/ representatives of Punjab Government, Haryana Government, Punjab and Haryana High Court, by the officers of N.I.C. to 5 officers each these offices. After gaining training from the NIC professionals, all these Nodal Officers/ Representatives of these offices are now capable to handle the entire process of this project.
According to the e-AWAS, the Government employee covered can submit his Onlineapplication for allotment/change of Govt. house on the prescribed form “A” on the official Website http://admser.chd.nic.in/ of House Allotment Committee, U.T., Chandigarh duly filled in and forwarded by the Head of Department/Nodal Officer of the Punjab Govt./Haryana Govt./ Punjab and Haryana High Court / Chandigarh Administration.
The applications received under this Rule on or before 20th day of a Calendar Month will be considered for allotment in the succeeding month.  The applications received on 21st day to the last date of a calendar month will be entertained/ considered for allotment after the succeeding month. 
The application form will be examined by the House Allotment Committee, U.T., Chandigarh. In case of incomplete application form or the application form of in-eligible applicants the case will be rejected straight way by the House Allotment Committee, UT, Chandigarh, and the applicant will have to submit af resh Online application on the official website of Chandigarh Administration.  After considering the eligible applications, the seniority lists shall be updated every month, on the website. The eligible applicant will be able check the status of his/her seniority list of type of house for which he/she has submitted the online application.
Online update report of vacant Government houses fit for allotment/ fit for occupation, belonging to Chandigarh Administration General Pool will be updated to enable the eligible applicants to ascertain the vacancy report of Government houses. 
The allotment of vacant Government houses will be made through the “bidding system” every month.  The eligible applicants existing in the current seniority list will submit maximum three options/bids for allotment of a Govt. house of the type applied for from 1st to 8th of every month.  The allotment of Government houses shall be made to the senior most applicant keeping in view their bids as per seniority list.  The applicants, who are not allotted Govt. houses after bidding, shall have the option to submit/ exercise their bid from 1st to 8th of the succeeding month of the calendar year.
No allotment will be made to the eligible applicants who have not participated in the “bid” for allotment of Government house and no written request for allotment of particular houses shall be entertained/ considered by the House Allotment Committee, Chandigarh, in future.
The intimation with regard to the allotment of Government houses to the successful applicant by way of bidding system will be given through SMS. After getting the allotment order of the Government house, the applicant shall contact the Work Inspector, Occupation/Vacation of the area concerned for taking over the possession of the allotted house within 14 days from the date of issue of the allotment order.

Chandigarh Police Arrested Several Persons for Running Illegal Rehri Fari on Public Place

Chandigarh 23rd January:- Chandigarh Police arrested Vipin of Sector-40, Chandigarh near light point Shahpur Colony, Sector-38(W), Chandigarh and recovered 18 injections of drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
Action against illicit liquor:-Chandigarh Police arrested Sunil Paswan of Adrash Colony, Sector 54, Chandigarh nearTaxi Stand, Sector 54, Chandigarh and recovered 24 quarters of country liquor from his possession. A Case FIR No. 17, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at PS-39, Chandigarh. Accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against obstructing public way:-Chandigarh Police arrested Ganesh of Village Balongi, Distt. Mohali (PB) who has been arrested near SCO NO. 1026-27, Sector-22, Chandigarh while running Rehri/Fari at public place. A Case FIR No. 15, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Shiva of  Roshan Colony, Deha Basti, Rajpura (PB) who has been arrested near Nehru Park, Sector-22, Chandigarh while running Rehri/Fari at public place. A Case FIR No. 16, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Sagar Kumar of Kansal, Distt. Mohali (PB) who has been arrested near Dispensary, Sector-22, Chandigarh while running Rehri/Fari at public place. A Case FIR No. 17, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Abhibur Rehman of Govind Nagar, near Maszid, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mobile App KahanHoapp Launched:App is To Track Your Loved Ones

Chandigarh 23rd January:- Now you will no longer have to worry about the safety of your Children who are away from home. Their family members or friends can easily track his or her location on their mobile through the KahanHoapp. This app is developed by Start Up IT Company Digix Tech India Private Limited and it will be useful for the safety of girls & children, thereby, minimizing crime against girls.
While launching KahanHoapp on the eve of National Girl Child Day at Chandigarh Press Club, CEO of the Company Nitin Gupta said that the main feature of this app is to track your loved ones. He said that this is the only app in the country which helps in two ways or multiple tracking. Multiple way tracking is not available currently. So till today there is no solution for full route tracking of moving person(s). He said that the application is live on IOS and Android and anyone can download it free of cost from Google play store.
Elaborating further about the app, Nitin Gupta said that if your daughter or sister is travelling alone or is coming from her office at odd hours you can see her exact location where she has reached and similarly she will also be able to see your location. She will just have to send a KahanHoApp request to let them know where she is. She can send this request using what’s app, SMS or Email.  She can send the request to as many persons and all of them will be able to track her and she will thus be connected with all these persons. If all girls will have this app installed in their mobile, the incidents of rape or molestations will definitely come down. He said that this app will facilitate the meeting of group of people. Thus, this app will connect all family members or friends.
Mayank Mishra said that KahanHoApp is an application to track and locate multiple users who want to be tracked. It allows real-time tracking on Smart phone and Tablets. Using 2 clicks you can send out your location and get back the location of all the recipients. A recipient can decide whether they want to broadcast their location or only watch your progress and suggest course-correct if needed. The app allows you to view both the map view and satellite view so you can know the exact terrain. It is integrated with all the Social applications (WhatsApp, SMS, email etc) so you can send invite through any communication media. It further allows you to check the progress of any single user or check all the users in a single view. Any user can decide to stop sharing or start sharing self location at any time.
He further said that this app will also be very useful for offices and educational institutes. Through this app, parents will be able to see the exact location of their child who comes by bus or autorickshaws. The bus driver will just have to share the location with all the parents whose children are traveling in his bus after starting the bus from school.  This app is useful for small sales driven companies like courier, food delivery, BPOs and IT companies. In offices the boss can track his or her team who is in field and can stay connected with them.
