‘Ms & Mrs Punjab-Discover Yourself 2019’ Pageant Gets Rolling: Grand Finale in December 2019

Chandigarh 25th September:- In an endeavour to provide an opportunity to young girls and married ladies of Punjab, to showcase their talent and excel in the world of fashion, Sparkles Production is coming up with the 2nd season of ‘Sparkles Production Ms & Mrs. Punjab - Discover yourself 2019’.
The one-of-a-kind beauty pageant was formally unveiled at a press conference by famous Punjabi film actress Japji Khaira, who is the face of the pageant. She was accompanied by Prabhjyot Kaur & Kamaljeet Kaur, Co-founders of Sparkles Production Miss & Mrs Punjab-Discover yourself’ is the brainchild of this dynamic women duo. The press meet also saw participation of Aman Grewal, who has been Mrs. India Worldwide 2014, Vaishnavi Boora, a celebrity fitness coach & fitness model, who trains celebs like Jasmine Sandlas etc.  What’s more, the celeb line up at the press conference which was held at Press Club here, also boasted of Gagan Chahal, a singer & model.
Japji Khaira, a renowned Punjabi Film Actress, who made her debut in Pollywood Industry after winning the title of 'Miss World Punjaban 2006 said that she is very privileged to part of the event, which is going to be organised on such a large scale across tricity & Punjab. The platform will provide a wonderful opportunity to young girls and married ladies to showcase their potential in front of the world.
She added that she  also started her career in the Punjabi Movie Industry after winning the title of Miss World Punjaban, which gave her great exposure to work in the industry. And she certainly believe that ‘Miss & Mrs. Punjab - Discover yourself 2019’ will provide the same exposure to each and every participant, which in turn will give wings to their dreams.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhjyot Kaur said that after getting an overwhelming response in Season 1, we are excited about unveiling formally, Season 2 of ‘Miss & Mrs. Punjab - Discover yourself 2019’. Our sole aim is to provide a platform, where young girls and especially married ladies, who might have forgotten their dreams after marriage, can now showcase their talent.
Kamaljeet Kaur said that we strongly believe that Punjab has a lot of talent but due to certain circumstances women have not been provided with the right platform to realize their dreams. But ‘Ms & Mrs Punjab – Discover yourself 2019’ am sure will unlock the doors of opportunities for young girls and married ladies.
She added that the pageant is also associated with a cause, i.e., welfare of women and women empowerment. Home-makers can make a career for themselves in different fields in fashion industry. We as an organization will extend all support to such enterprising ladies. In fact some of the title winners from Season 1 are already doing good work in the entertainment industry.
The auditions of the pageant will be carried out in all major cities & colleges across Chandigarh and Punjab from the last of week of September 2019. The grooming session of finalists will be conducted by Aman Grewal, Vaishnavi Boora, & Gagan Chahal will hone the skills of participants holistically for the Grand Finale, which is going to be held on 24th December at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh.

HDFC Bank and Indian Oil Launch Co-Branded Fuel Credit Card for Non-Metro Cities and Towns

Chandigarh 25th September:- HDFC Bank Ltd. and Indian Oil today launched a co-branded fuel credit card for users from non-metro cities and towns. The Indian Oil HDFC Bank Credit Card offers customers the highest rewards and benefits on fuel consumption. The card will be available on both RuPay and Visa platforms.
Customers earn reward points known as ‘fuel points’  at over 27,000 IOCL outlets. They also earn fuel points on all other spends such as groceries, bill payments, utilities, and other shopping. These points can be redeemed for up to 50 litres of fuel annually. To apply for the card, customers can visit or walk into the nearest bank branch.
At an event organised in Chandigarh, the card was launched by IOCL officials Mr. Vigyan Kumar, Executive Director (RS) and Mr. Sujoy Chowdhury, Executive Director, Punjab, HP and J&K; and HDFC Bank executives Mr. Parag Rao, Country Head, Payments Business and Marketing and Mr. Vineet Arora, Branch Banking Head.
Simultaneously, the card was also launched across 135 Indian Oil outlets in Bhopal, Lucknow, Indore, Ranchi, Kochi, Vishakapatnam, Guwahati, Nagpur, Shillong, Varanasi, and Panjim, among others. In Jalandhar the card was launched at Swaran Filling Station by Mr. Kapil Trehan, Cluster Head HDFC Bank and Atul Gupta, Divisional office, Retail Head IOCL.
Parag Rao, speaking at the launch event, said that it is our endeavour to take digital forms of payments to the smaller towns and cities. Awareness Camp on importance of Nutrition for TB patients

Chandigarh 25th September:- TB Harega Desh Jetega with Pura Course of TB treatment and proper nutritional support . This was stated by Dr. G.Dewan, Mission Director cum Director Health Services Chandigarh while distributing Nutritional supplement to  MDR-TB and TB patients at Civil Dispensary, Ramdarbar Chandigarh. He also announced Govt. of India’s Notification of providing Rs. 500/- to every TB patient per month till completion of treatment.
Govt. of India is observing this  month as Poshan Mah i.e. Nutritional Month, in view of this Chandigarh Health Department in collaboration with Rotary Midtown created awareness amongst general public as well as TB patients regarding importance of diet specially patients suffering from Tuberculosis  for rapid recovery.
Nutritional supplement was also distributed to MDR-TB & TB patients by Rotary Midtown. Salil Bali, President, Rotary Midtown said that Nutritional supplement will be provided every month to MDR-TB & TB patients till the completion of Treatment.
On this occasion,  Dr. Honney Sawhney, Nodal Officer RNTCP Chandigarh generated awarenessregarding  regular and complete treatment.

पंचकूला के सैक्टर-5 के टाऊन पार्क में दिव्यांग बच्चों के लिए बनेगा प्रदेश का पहला पार्क: रिलायंस मॉडल इकनोमिक टाउनशिप की अनूठी पहल

Chandigarh 25th September:- विशेष बच्चों के लिए पंचकूला के सैक्टर-5 के टाउन पार्क में रिलायंस मॉडल इकनोमिक टाउनशिप और सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता विभाग के आपसी सहयोग से प्रदेश का पहला पार्क बनाया जा रहा है। यह पार्क रिलाइंस कंपनी के सहयोग से 0.6 एकड़ क्षेत्र में बनाया जा रहा है। इस पार्क में दिव्यांग बच्चों के लिए मनोरंजन की विशेष सुविधाएं होगी। दिव्यांग बच्चें इस पार्क में पूरी तरह से खेल पाएगें।ये जानकारी रिलायंस मॉडल इकनोमिक टाउनशिप के प्रशासनिक प्रमुख कर्नल रोमेल राजेन ने पंचकूला में एक पत्रकार वार्ता के दौरान दी।
कर्नल रोमेल राजेन ने बताया कि पार्क में दिव्यांग बच्चों के लिए सब प्रकार की सुविधा होगी। इस पार्क पर लगभग 65 लाख रुपये की राशि खर्च होगी और यह पार्क जल्द ही विकसित करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इस पार्क में विशेष बच्चों की आवश्यकताओं को देखते हुए स्पीच थेरेपिस्ट, फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट, वोकेशनल ट्रेनर भी मौजूद रहेंगे।
उन्होंने बताया कि दिव्यांग बच्चों के लिये विशेष प्रकार के झूले, टे्रक व अन्य सुविधायें उपलब्ध होगी। यह प्रदेश का पहला पार्क है। इस तरह के पार्क प्रदेश के दूसरे जिलों में भी भविष्य में बनाए जाएगे। पार्क उन विशेष बच्चों को लाभ देगा जो अपने जीवन में आगे बढना चाहते हैं और कामयाब होना चाहते हैं। मनोरंजन के सभी साधनों को ऐसे बच्चों की शारीरिक बनावट व क्षमता को ध्यान में रखकर विकसित किया गया है।
उन्होंने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि 65 लाख रुपये की लागत से यह पार्क पूरी तरह विकसित करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। इस पार्क में दिव्यांग बच्चों के लिये विशेष प्रकार के झूले, ट्रैक व अन्य सुविधायें उपलब्ध होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता विभाग ने पंचकूला जिला से इस तरह की विशेष पहल की है ताकि दिव्यांग बच्चें भी पार्क में मनोरंजन की सुविधाओं का लाभ हासिल कर सके।
