Creativity Gets A New Expression At VR Punjab Women Wednesdays Jewellery Workshop

Chandigarh 23rd November:- Rekindling women’s love for jewellery by giving a new expression to their creative spirit, VR Punjab, the region’s largest and most preferred shopping destination, conducted a ‘Make Your Own Jewellery’ Workshop as part of its Women’s Wednesdays activity.
With artificial jewellery in vogue for its trendy appeal and hugely popular among women as a style statement for everyday wear, the ‘Make Your Jewellery’ Workshop was  a hit as more than 100 women participated in it.
Conducted at the Social Hub in the shopping centre by expert instructors from fashion jewellery and fashion accessories brand Ayesha, the ‘Make Your Jewellery’ Workshop proved to be quite useful for the participants, who were taught how to use their imagination to design attractive costume jewellery items like necklaces, charm bracelets and earrings.
During the two-hour workshop, Ayesha experts gave many creative tips to the participants relating to the right choice of colours and simple yet elegant designs. The participating women were absolutely amazed to learn how simple items like beads, hooks, threads and wires can be combined to come up with so many exciting and attractive customized jewellery items. The enthusiasm of the participants and their creativity was at its peak as they not only came up with some intelligent queries, but also crafted some decorative jewellery masterpieces on their own.
As a fun and learn platform created by VR Punjab to engage women, the Women’s Wednesday’s activities at the mall have been receiving an overwhelming response.

मोती राम स्कूल के रक्तदान शिविर में 272 यूनिट रक्त एकत्र हुआ

Chandigarh 23rd November:- मोती राम आर्य सी. से. सीनियर सेकेंडरी मॉडल स्कूल, से.-27, चण्डीगढ़ द्वारा आज स्कूल के संस्थापक स्व. हरदयाल महाजन की 23 वीं पुण्यतिथि के अवसर पर सालाना रक्तदान शिविर पीजीआई ब्लड ट्रांसफ्यूज़न सोसायटी, लायंस क्लब एचडीएफसी बैंक सेंट्रल के सहयोग से लगाया गया
जिसमें 272 यूनिट रक्त एकत्र हुआ। इस शिविर का शुभारंभ एएसपी नेहा यादव, चण्डीगढ़ एनसीसी गर्ल्स बटालियन के सीओ कर्नल वीके शिरोन स्कूल की चीफ पैटर्न शकुंतला महाजन ने किया। शिविर में बड़ी संख्या में एनसीसी कैडेट्स, स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों उनके अभिभावकों के साथ-साथ स्कूल टीचर्स एवं स्टाफ आदि ने भी रक्तदान किया।
इस अवसर पर स्कूल की डायरेक्टर रचना महाजन, ट्रस्टी एवं प्रबंधक उमा भनोट, सलाहकार सरोज सावंत प्रिंसिपल डॉ. सीमा बीजी आदि भी मौजूद रहे।
इस मौके पर निशुल्क स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सा जांच शिविर भी लगाया गया।

Shuttlers Tanveer and Kalpana Make India Proud

Chandigarh 23rd November:- Indian badminton team players made India proud in the first Special Olympics Asia Pacific Unified Badminton Championship held from 12-16th Nov. 2019 at Bangkok, Thailand. Tanveer and Sanyam as unified boys team won gold medal in the category 16-21 years male D-2 group and Kalpana and Arpita as unified girls team won silver medal in mixed female D-1 group.
Tanveer and Kalpana are intellectually disabled students of Govt Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), sector 31, Chandigarh. Prof B S Chavan, Director of GRIID, Prof Priti Arun, Joint Director of GRIID and Dr Vani Ratnam, Principal of GRIID congratulated the students and their sports coach, Ms Sheetal Negi. Parents expressed their happiness and assured for any support required in future as well.
The team expressed its gratitude towards actor Sonu Sood for sponsoring the team for the championship.Victor R Vaz, National Sports Director, Special Olympics Bharat and Mrs.Neelu Sarin, Area Director , Chandigarh Chapter -Special Olympics also congratulated the players and wish them luck for future success.
