The Indian Bride Exhibition Starts, Designer of Famous Bollywood Actresses Showcasing Her Collections

Chandigarh, Dec.26, 2021:- The Indian Bride – an elegantly conceptualized lifestyle luxury exhibition – has kicked off here today at JW Marriott, Sector 35B, showcasing more than 50 designers and labels from across India. The exhibition will be on till Monday, Dec 27 from 10:30 am till 8:30 pm.

It's hallmark is not only celebrity designer Vidhi, whose exquisite collections have become a great centre of attraction for city denizens but also Banarsi sarees of Disha Talwar, who has in fact brought designer sarees created using the famous Khinkhwab fabric. Enticing creations of renowned designer Ritu Kumar have also been displayed.

Tanya, Brand Associate, The Indian Bride, said that the Indian Bride is a great platform to showcase your brand the latest in luxury lifestyle. The idea behind the showcase is to provide a platform to designers so that the hard work of original artisans from across India  are not recognized and are removed from the supply chain. The products can be sold directly to consumers without any intermediaries.

Shweta added that the Indian Bride is not only an occasion to celebrate the conglomeration of varieties from the world of lifestyle but also a fantastic opportunity for the customers to pick up the best of their choices! It is a win-win situation for all of us.

Shweta Aggarwal is a  is a renowned celebrity designer and also the founder of ‘A Humming Way Atelier’ who has as her clients Bollywood actresses like Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Rakul Preet, Soha Ali Khan and Kajal Agrawal, will be present with her exquisite collections of Indian festive pieces.

'Gujarat Hast Kala' is providing  a rare corner for traditional Gujarat based handcrafted products, best of designers from Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur and other parts of the country have displayed their creations with, footwear, home furnishings, organic products, jewelry, home décor adorning the entire exhibition space.

A multi-designer platform by Bilal Garments has brought enticing collections of designers from Pakistan, Muscat, Bahrain and Middle East.

Humaira Khan, an exhibitor showcasing collections of different designers, said that the Indian Bride is an exhibition which we wait for eagerly every year. It is a wonderful experience for all of us. The response from City Beautiful residents has been really wonderful.

Not only designer wears but even the automobile sector is represented at the exhibition with the presence of Punjab Motors Mercedes Benz). An exquisite collection of diamonds has been put up by 'Pacific Diamonds'.

 

Chandigarh Witnesses the Unveiling of 'Thevasa' – A New-Age Lifestyle Brand Combining Indian & Greek Design Sensibilities

The brainchild of Neha Kalra, a design enthusiast and entrepreneur, Thevasa is an attempt to rediscover, revive and sustain India's beautiful art, craft and culture, while giving it a contemporary twist with the aid of modern technology and international flavour.

Neha Kalra, founder said that she has always wanted to do something constructive for India’s talented pool of traditional artisans especially, the hard-working and highly skilled women workforce. Through Thevasa, she is glad that she is able to offer something of value to them. Unlike other fashion labels, our emphasis is to give maximum revenue to our artisans by putting less physical pressure on them and instead, using technology and our own sensibilities as designers to create the best outcome for our clients.

Predominantly led by a team of women, Thevasa’s new store offers a retail experience centre like an oasis of tranquility - with calming tones of white and blue, limestone walls and cheerful lighting.

The store is set to offer new collections in women’s wear - kurtas, coord sets and fine mul cotton & chanderi sarees. The unique collection of home decor items like coffee mugs, platters and cushions are also available.

Some of the featured products include, kurtis handcrafted in Cotton silk with bead embroidery, silver zari, ‘Santorini’ style Kypello side-serving bowls, mugs, tea-sets, kettles et al. 

Fonder Neha further informed that Thevasa offers a range of products from contemporary Indian wear to handmade stoneware, stationary and home accessories. This is the brand's third store in North India, the other two being in Khan Market, New Delhi and in DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

Also present at the launch, Thevasa’s design head Archi Modi said that the women of Chandigarh are well known for their sartorial style - global in outlook but with their hearts in India. They are very aligned with the Thevasa Woman - unique as a global personality and proud of Indian artistic traditions.
