Connect NetChamp IntraSchool Round on Cyber Security Held at Kids R Kids School

Chandigarh 04th Feb, 2019:- In the 37th  intraschool round on cyber security, Manya Luthra and Shivranjini of class 8TH  of Kids R Kids school, Sector 42c Chandigarh won the NetChamp2 Quiz.
According to Anupam Grewal Principal of the School, informed that students of class 6th- 8th participated in this is a highly useful programme for the children as well as the teachers who learnt about the dangers of using the internet in their formative years when they are not fully aware of the pitfalls.
The cyber security team of Connect Broadband interacted with children and informed them about potential risks including identity thefts, cyber bullying, legal and financial issues, fake news and frauds, as also risky video games and online challenges.
Protecting children against online risks and make them smart users of the internet is the avowed cause that Connect Broadband has undertaken and has sensitized over 10,000 children, teachers and parents over 36 schools so far in last one year and the company intends to reach out to at least 13 more schools in the region in its second edition of NetChamp programme.
NetChamp is an international award-winning initiative of Connect Broadband at the International Operator’s Conference, Lisbon, Portuga.

बॉलीवुड एक्टर राकेश बेदी ने फ़िल्म “जुनि-द लास्ट प्रेयर” का पोस्टर किया रिलीज

Chandigarh 04th Feb, 2019:- पूजा पाठ कर अपने मन में अहम पाल लेना की  प्रभु को सम्पूर्ण प्राप्त कर लिया और सारा संसार उनके अनुसार चलेगा। ऐसे ही लोगों के मन से भ्रम को बाहर निकलने के उद्देश्य से फ़िल्मजुनि- लास्ट प्रेयर” का निर्माण किया गया है। यह कहना है फ़िल्म के लेखक, एक्टर और निदेशक अनुराग शर्मा का।
चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब में  फ़िल्म" जुनि- लास्ट प्रेयर" का आज पोस्टर रिलीज किया गया, जिसे बॉलीवुड के विख्यात एक्टर राकेश बेदी ने रिलीज किया। फ़िल्म के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए अनुराग शर्मा ने बताया कि फ़िल्म निर्माण का उद्देश्य इंसान को आडम्बर से बाहर निकालना है कि परमपिता परमात्मा अपरम्पार है। अनुराग शर्मा ने बताया कि जिस प्रकार कहा जाता है कि मूर्ति पूजा भ्रम है। ऐसा नही है सब विश्वास की बात है
उन्हीने आगे कहा कि इसके अलावा फिल्म में अनुछेद 498 A को भी ध्यान में रख कर उन युवतियों पर कटाक्ष किया गया है कि किस प्रकार युवतियां लव मैरिज कर ससुराल पक्ष को इस धारा के तहत प्रताड़ित करती है और पैसे ऐंठती है। 
फ़िल्म में हिमाचल प्रदेश की अदाकारा मनीषा राठौर ने हीरोइन की भूमिका अदा की है और सुचिन्तन सिद्धू ने खलनायक की भूमिका निभाई है। इसके अलावा कैमियो रोल के लिए बॉलीवुड से 2-3 विख्यात एक्टर से बात चल रही है। फ़िल्म की शूटिंग चंडीगढ़, पंचकूला, मोहाली, हरियाणा और मुम्बई में कई गयी है। फ़िल्म अगस्त माह तक सिनेमा हॉल में जायेगी।

Charms Education & Immigration Services organizes World Education Fair

Chandigarh 04th Feb, 2019:- A World Education Fair was held at Hotel Taj in which some of the best government approved higher educational institutes from across the globe participated. The fair was organized by Charms Education & Immigration Services, which helps students find the right course, Institute and in provision of consultancy services for student visa to Canada and a host of other countries. The fair got a good response with over 400 students registering at the fair.
Rahul Paitka, MD, Charms Education, said that recruitment directors, CEO's and top representatives of 50+ colleges and universities from countries like Canada, Europe-particularly France, UK,  Ireland,  New Zealand, Australia & more converged at the fair. After Chandigarh we will be taking the fair on February 4, 2019 to Delhi. 
Manish Paitka, CEO, Charms Education & a New Zealand government approved licensed immigration adviser said that at the education fair student admission and visa processing queries were answered for May, July, September, November-2019 and January 2020 intakes. Students cleared their doubts about admissions in diplomas - both Under Graduate and Post Graduate, Bachelors programmes, MBA and Master Degree Programmes in International colleges and universities. On the spot admissions also took place and students learnt about scholarship options too.
Apart from Canada students showed a lot of interest in New Zealand as they allow married students going for Master level courses in New Zealand to take their families along and get the benefits of free school education for their children.
Andrea McLeod -Karim , Country Manager, Victoria University of Wellington said that a good number of students showed interest in a higher education in New Zealand. My University offers Masters programmes like Accounting, Business Analysis and Global Management.  The advantage in studying in any Masters programme is that the New Zealand government allows a student a 3 year work permit post study.
France is also coming up well as a study destination. To study in France No old funds are required and after completing two years' master degree in any college of France, students can secure a work permit.
Navneet Kaur Pannu, Recruiting Officer, University of Fraser Valley, Canada said that our University is one of the few that operate a campus even in India. Our Indian campus is located in Sec 32, Chandigarh. We offer 4 year graduation programmes. A student has flexibility to study for a few years in India and then continue the education in our Canada campus. With this the cost of study comes down as much as 65 per cent.

Cancer Survivors Comes Together for a Fun-Filled Session

Chandigarh 04th Feb, 2019:- Saarthak, the cancer support group at Fortis, organized a colourful session to commemorate World Cancer Day at Fortis Hospital, Mohali today. Cancer Survivors had an unforgettable day at a special event organized by Saarthak, a cancer support group at Fortis.
Keeping in mind that laughter is the best medicine and music is therapy for the soul, Fortis Mohali had planned an afternoon full of fun and music for cancer survivors and patients.
In a fun-filled and colourful session, friends and families of more than 50 cancer survivors came under one roof to celebrate & raise awareness about cancer. The event was an attempt to reach out to everyone suffering from cancer so that ‘no one should face cancer alone.’ Another interesting part of the event was ramp walk for the survivors by the Fortis Oncology team, led by Dr Rajeev Bedi, Director, Medical Oncology, who were cheered by the audience.
Comedians from Conviction Events and Media performed, for a packed house of audience. This group of tricity youngsters promote poetry and live comedy in the city in an effort to bring the residents closer to art. Students of Nav Bal Niketan showcased a Nepali dance. They also presented cards of valour to the patients and survivors while Ozi gym presented bhangra dance performance.
Cancer survivors performed stand-up comedy. They were able to transform their pain into humour and make everyone laugh. Voice of India winner Bannet Dosanjh enthralled the audience with songs. When he was approached by Fortis Mohali to perform for cancer survivors, he jumped at the opportunity. To see them smile and enjoy his music brought a lot of satisfaction to him.
In keeping with the lively and positive spirit of the occasion, cancer survivors shared their personal experiences of having beaten cancer, inspiring the audience with their grit and bravery. The survivors were trained by Deepak Issar, professional scriptwriter and budding stand-up comedian. The various contests drew an energetic response from the kith & kin of the survivors who participated with lot of gusto.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhijit Singh, Facility Director, Fortis Mohali, said that it is such a wonderful feeling to share such an energy from these fighters of cancer. It is heart wrenching yet moving to hear their stories of fight against cancer. As the world celebrates World Cancer Day, we are humbled to provide a platform that will help generate much needed awareness about cancer.
