Chandigarh 24th Jan, 2020:- Marking its entry into the premium hatchback segment, Tata Motors today launched – the Altroz. The Altroz will be available in five trim levels across all Tata Motors authorized dealerships at an introductory price starting from INR 5.29 lakhs for the petrol version and INR 6.99 lakhs for the diesel version.
The Altroz is the first vehicle developed on the new ALFA architecture and the second vehicle showing the Impact 2.0 design language. LIC Sold over 1Crore 64 Lakh Policies and Collected First Year Premium Income of Rs. 40111.38 Cr upto 15 January 2020: Mukesh K Gupta

Chandigarh 24th Jan, 2020:- Life Insurance Corporation of India at Chandigarh organized a press conference to share new projects and new future plans. LIC’S Managing Director Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Anoop Kumar, Zonal Manager, North Zone, New Delhi and Rajat Mukharjee, Sr. Divisional Manager, Chandigarh  along with other officials were present in the conference. 
While addressing the Conference Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Managing Director, said that LIC has sold over 1crore 64 lakh policies and collected First Year Premium Income of Rs. 40111.38 Cr up to 15 January 2020. North Zone has procured First Year Premium Income of Rs. 5262.66 Cr with 23 lakh 51 thousand policies. LIC has registered a significant increase in market share in the current financial year.   LIC’s market share as on December 2019 is 75.64% in number of policies and 70.52% in First Year Premium Income.  He added that on All India basis upto December 2019 LIC has registered a growth of 18.14% in no. of policies and 13.22 % in First Year Premium Income.
He said that LIC has recruited 114114 new agents during the current financial year. North Zone has recruited 19680 agents, out of which 12997 are millennial agents which is 66.04% of the total agents recruited by North Zone. The agents are trained to give services according to individual needs. The contribution of millennial agents in the new business of North Zone is almost 41%. North Zone, Delhi has an agency force of 1,72,972  engaged in selling Life Insurance throughout the Zone. 
Recently North Zone has also recruited 706 Apprentice Development Officers to boost its marketing operations. These ADOs will recruit new Agents in their team so as to add to the total agency force.
Mukesh Kumar Gupta shared further that LIC has the best Claim settlement performance in the industry. During the current financial year LIC has settled 1.29 Cr. Claims amounting to Rs.67877.40 Cr .  North Zone has settled 20.05 lac claims   amounting to Rs.10759.85 Cr .
For  achieving  the target of 100% of the claims payable during the year, NEFT Mandates are being collected in advance so that claims can be settled on due date.
LIC is constantly upgrading its services to add value to  policyholders’ experience.
In the area of servicing, Alternate Channels of premium payment viz. Premium Points, Life Plus Offices, Payment through Debit/Credit Cards are becoming more and more popular and almost 60.61% of the total transactions are coming through these channels, in Northern Zone,  62.17% of the collection is coming through alternate channel of premium payment.
As a fillip to our on-going support for digital transactions, LIC has recently announced waiver of convenience fee on Credit Card transactions initiated by policyholders for payment of renewal premium, advance premium, repayment of loan and loan interest with effect from December 01, 2019.
He said that LIC has been a nation builder since its formation in 1956 through investment in different sectors for the best advantage of policyholders as well as the community as a whole. Total Investment of LIC as a whole as on 31.03.2019 is Rs.2984331 Cr & investment in States under North Zone as on 31.03.2019 is Rs.383000 cr.

NGO I Am Still Human Holds Blood Donation Camp for Welfare of the Indian Army

Chandigarh 24th Jan, 2020:- To contribute towards welfare of the Indian Army, the '9th Shaurya Blood Connect With Indian Army' - a blood donation camp was held at DLF Centre Mall, IT Park, here. Over 80 units of blood were collected by a medical team of the Command Hospital, Western Command, which will be specifically used for the welfare of veterans, serving soldiers, officers and their dependents at military hospitals.
The ninth edition of the campaign was organized by a city-based NGO -I am still Human (IASH), which is expeditiously working for the welfare of Indian Army personnel. The camp was put up in association with the corporate PCL Gateway which supported the cause under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and DLF City Centre Mall.
Lt. Gen. (Retd) K.J Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Former GOC-in-Chief, Western Command was the chief guest. The guests' of honour at the event were S. Jagjit Singh Majha, MD, PCL Gateway & President CREDAI, Punjab & who is also a philanthropist and  Brig. Satinder Singh (Retd), Director, Defence Services Welfare, Punjab.
Vivek Mehra, Founder, IASH said that we are glad to see the response of civilians, who today came out with full enthusiasm and donated blood for their brothers' in uniform, this way a blood bond has been established between civilians and our armed forces personnel. The primary agenda of this campaign is to organise more blood for army and also inspire the young generation to join the Indian Armed forces.

Jagjit Singh Majha, MD PCL Gateway and President Credai Punjab He said that he exhort civilians and people in general to come forward and help martyrs' families financially and emotionally too as they are very much 'our family', due to the supreme sacrifices martyrs make for the country and all of us without asking for anything in return.
The mall was adorned by myriad war pictures of battles fought on Punjab's soil, these dictated the several stories of valour of warriors. There was army decor also put up at different places in the mall.
A motivational session was conducted by Lt. Gen. (Retd) K.J Singh, S. Jagjit Singh Majha and Brig. Satinder Singh (Retd), Director, Defence Services Welfare, Punjab.
The event saw a tribute ceremony being held for Shaheed Sepoy Ranjit Singh Salaria from Gurdaspur, who lost his life in an avalanche incident a few days ago. Brig (Retd.)Satinder Singh conducted the tribute by way of a poignant speech about the martyr. He also shed light upon the problems and challenges a martyr’s family faces. It was also announced that the expenses of education of Shaheed Sepoy Ranjjt Singh's 4- month-old daughter will be borne by 'I Am Still Human' and its members.
Others present included J.D Ghai, Founder,, social worker Bobbee Singh, Manvinder Singh, Ashu Khare, Director, Rock and Storm Distilleries, Ex-Gunner Ajit Shukla, Mehakdeep Singh Randhawa and Maj. Akshay Sharma, from Command Hospital, Chandimandir.

वाल्मीकि समाज ने नगर निगम कमिश्नर और पूर्व मेयर राजेश कालिया का पुतला फूंका: गुरचरण सिंह को बहाल और 68 लाख का नोटिस लिए जाने की उठायी मांग

Chandigarh 24th Jan, 2020:- नगर निगम के कमिश्नर के के यादव और पूर्व मेयर राजेश कालिया के खिलाफ वाल्मीकि समाज में रोष बढ़ता ही जा रहा है इसी कड़ी में आज रेजिडेंट वेलफेयर एोसिएशन डडू माजरा कालोनी के अध्यक्ष कुलदीप ढिलोढ (उर्फ टिटा) की अध्यक्षता में एक रोष प्रदर्शन किया गया। यह प्रदर्शन भगवान वाल्मीकि जी की शोभा यात्रा के दौरान लगाए गए भगवान वाल्मीकि मजलूमों के मसीहा डॉ भीराव अम्बेडकर जी के चित्र को विज्ञापन बता कर गुरचरन सिंह को 68लाख का नोटिस भेजा गया भाई गुरचरन को नौकरी से भी निकाला दिया गया। वाल्मीकि समाज की आस्था को जो ठेस पहुंचाई गई इसकी घोर निंदा करता है। इस रोष प्रदर्शन में नगर निगम कमिश्नर के०के यादव पूर्व मेयर राजेश कालिया का पुतला फूंका गया। प्रदर्शन में वाल्मीकि समाज के वरिष्ठ व्यक्ति शामिल रहे।
वाल्मीकि समाज ने यह फैसला लिया कि अगर जल्द ही 68 लाख का नोटिस गुरचरन सिंह को नौकरी पर बहाल नहीं किया गया, तो यह प्रदर्शन एक विशाल आंदोलन का रूप लेगा प्रदर्शन में मुख्य रूप से शामिल रहे। इस सामाजिक आंदोलन के अध्यक्ष कंवर पाल गहलोत, चौधरी गीता राम, समय सिंह, मुकेश अनार्य, लव कुमार, भगत राज, जानू, समाज के युवाओं ने बढ़ चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया।
