कैलाश जैन बने गृह मंत्रालय सलाहकार समिति के सदस्य

Chandigarh 22nd July:- चंडीगढ़़ भाजपा प्रदेश प्रवक्ता, अर्थ प्रकाश समाचार पत्र के सम्पादक एवं व्यापारी नेता कैलाश चंद जैन को केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री की सलाहकार समिति का सदस्य मनोनीत किया गया है। उनकी यह नियुक्ति सांसद किरण खेर की सिफारिश पर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री द्वारा की गई है।
केंद्र शासित प्रदेश चंडीगढ़ के लिए गृह मंत्री की सलाहकार समिति में प्रशासन के पालिसी संबंधी मामले, विधायी प्रपोजल, केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के वित्तीय मामले, विकास संबंधी मामले और चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन से संबंधित अन्य सभी प्रकार के मामले पर विचार किया जाता है। 
कैलाश चंद जैन इससे पूर्व एफसीआई सलाहकार समिति के सदस्य भी हैं। कैलाश चंद जैन केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय सलाहकार समिति की 27 जुलाई को होने वाली बैठक में भाग लेंगे। 
अपनी नियुक्ति पर कैलाश जैन ने सांसद किरण खेर का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि वे शहर की सभी समस्याओं को मुख्य रूप से उठाएंगे तथा शहर के विकास में भरपूर योगदान देंगे।

Bioethics Integral to Medical Research: Highlights Director PGI

Chandigarh 22nd July:- The second Bioethics Workshop was organized by Prof. K N Pathak, Chairman and Dr. Vikas Gautam, Convener, to apprise the delegates about the mandate, role and activities being undertaken by the Committee to promote ethics in medical research. The Bioethics Workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Jagat Ram, Director, PGI as the Chief Guest. Considering it a very significant subject, Prof. Jagat Ram complimented Institutional Ethics Committee for their initiatives for ‘putting the right thought’ regarding the ethical aspects of medical research and assured them of his full support to further centre-stage this subject. The director stressed on inculcating the set of values including the respect for autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence and justice among the medical fraternity.
The topics deliberated during the Workshop included Medical Education & Research Cell, IEC (intramural), Institutional Committee on Stem Cell Research, IEC (extramural), Research Review Committee, Data Safety Monitoring Committee, Institute Animal Ethics Committee.  The experts who deliberated and came out with significant recommendations included Dr. Arnab Pal, Dr. Nandita Kakkar, Dr. Neelam Marwaha, Dr. Vikas Gautam, Dr. Savita Kumari, Dr. Nusrat Shafiq and Prof. Sunil K. Arora.

Chandigarh 22nd July:- Inspired by Virender Sehwag and his batting techniques, Harmanpreet Kaur has brought glory to Punjab by making 171 runs off 115 balls against the Australians . This is a world record in women's cricket and she was one of the highest scorers from India in women's Cricket.
Harmanpreet Kaur's 171 run knock against Australia reminds one of the historic knock of Kapil Dev in which he scored 175 runs against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup. In appreciation to this KS Bhatia , CEO & Founder of, a Chandigarh based start-up which has been commended by none other than Google CEO Sundar Pichai, for its model of selling water pumps online,  has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lac  to Harmanpreet Kaur.
K S Bhatia said that we will felicitate her for bringing laurels for the state as well as the country after she returns to India.
