Chandigarh 19th July:- Sony SAB's comedy drama “Jijaji Chhat Per Hain” has kept viewers hooked with its hilarious plot twists and a fascinating narrative. In the upcoming episodes, Elaichi will be seen mocking Pancham and hurting his self-respect, leading to an unexpected turn of events.

Elaichi (Hiba Nawab) repeatedly irks Pancham (Nikhil Khurana), asking him to leave the house if there is even an ounce of self-respect left in him. Hearing this, Pancham loses his cool and in the heat of the moment, decides to leave the house. Pintoo (Harvir Singh), however, stops him from doing so.

Pancham goes to Murari (Anup Upadhyay) and tells him that he has decided to quit his job. Murari does not allow Pancham to quit, since he believes that Pancham and Chutanki are responsible for his flourishing business-something that Mausa brainwashes him into thinking.

Commenting on the upcoming track, Nikhil Khurana portraying Pancham’s character, said that Elaichi will get on his  nerves and make him want to leave the house and even quit his job, something that Murari is absolutely against. How the story unravels is something that viewers will witness in the future episodes.

School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh, were shown a short movie on Child Safety and were given a talk about Good Touch and Bad Touch. Children were guided with the help of mannequins about their private parts and who can touch them and when.

Teachers explained them the difference between a good and a bad touch and if someone touches them and they feel bad or uncomfortable- they should say aloud ‘NO’ or ‘Scream’ and run away from there. They also came to know about the “Safe Circle” that consisted of their father, mother and certain people about whom their parents ensure them to trust and tell everything. They should not hide anything from them. This ‘safe circle’ people would always be there to love, help and protect them against any untoward incident.  It is the right time to make our little ones aware of this harsh reality and make them alert and cautious always. It is well said “Teach the children so that it will not be necessary to teach the adults”.

New Compound Shown to Be as Effective as FDA: Dr. Neetu Dayal

Chandigarh 19th July:- Former NIPER, Mohali graduate student Dr. Neetu Dayal, is proud to be part of the team who have identified a new compound that in preliminary testing has shown itself to be as effective as antibiotics approved by Food and Drug Administration to treat life-threatening infections while also appearing to be less susceptible to bacterial resistance. The identified compound, called F6, has been potent against antibiotic-resistant pathogens such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which is often found in hospitals and other healthcare settings, and vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (VRSA), with vancomycin long considered a drug of last resort. The compound was tested against clinical isolates, and when tried to force bacterial resistance on F6, no bacterial resistance found. Antibiotic resistance is a growing public health crisis. The World Health Organization has deemed antibiotic resistance one of the three greatest threats to human health because bacteria are becoming increasingly resistant and too few treatments are being developed. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that at least 2 million people a year in the United States become infected with bacteria resistant to antibiotics and at least 23,000 people die a year as a result. Studies have estimated that drug-resistant infections could be responsible for 10 million deaths a year worldwide by 2050. As a synthetic chemist in the team, her research work broadly includes to design and synthesize novel molecules as a potential antibacterial and an anticancer drug candidate. Currently focused on pharmacokinetic properties of the molecules to improve the bioavailability and to make derivatives of F6 to see if they might be even more effective. Besides, she is actively engaged in developing novel molecules as kinase inhibitors.

Dr. Neetu Dayal received her Ph.D. from the NIPER Mohali in 2016 after completing her thesis research on palladium-catalyzed convergent synthesis of fused nitrogen heterocycles in Dr. J. K. Laha’s Lab. She is currently working as a post-doctoral research associate in Dr. Sintim Lab at the Purdue Univerisity, West Lafayette, United states.

IMG Comes Up With Reality Based Web Series “SURVIVORSS": Tagline for Show is:“Strugglers-Performers-Winners”

Chandigarh 19th July:- IMG, is coming up with a new reality based web series “SURVIVORSS”. The shooting of the show starts on 12^th August 2018. It’s a fifteen day shoot which is in tough locations between Dehradun and Saharanpur, UP.  The tagline for the show is: “Strugglers-Performers-Winners”.  Mayank Pawar (Mr. Asia & Mr. India), Mia Lakra (Splitsvilla 8 fame) along with Sunny Verma MD- IMG were present at the event.

The concept of series is given by Sunny Verma who believes that strugglers who are not getting the right opportunity can perform at this platform and make a place for themselves in the industry. Karan Kundra who is the main face of the series is going to judge the finale episode. Along with that other celebrities who are a part of the show are Mayank Pawar (Mr. Asia & Mr. India), Karishma Talwar (TV Anchor& Splitsvilla fame), Mia Lakra (Splitsvilla 8 fame), and Sonali Katyal (Splitsvilla 7 fame). The auditions for the show were conducted in Delhi, Punjab, Pune and Bangalore. The Delhi auditions were taken by Baseer Ali (MTV Roadies7 & Splitsvilla winner), Pune auditions by Varun Sood (VJ7 Splitsvilla fame) and Bangalore auditions by Shweta Mehta (MTV Roadies rising winner).

The web series is going to have 10 part episodes and as per the format of the show, the contestant are going to be judged on the basis of their performance. The first teaser of the series is going to be released on 30^th August 2018. The host of the show is Sunny Verma. Sixty contestants are going to participate in the show. The winner of the show will be awarded with whooping amount of 3 lakh and will get a chance to host the next season of the series.

Talking about the show Sunny Verma MD of IMG, said that he has always loved to experiment with his work and this time, he has come up with web series which is very close to his heart.

He and his partner in show JD Padda have worked really hard on this series. We have worked for five to six months on this concept and tried to cover maximum part of the country. He believes that the trend of web series is encouraging more and more youth to participate in reality shows and IMG being the one to provide such platform. So we have come up with brand new reality based web series which is surely going to keep the audience stick to their mobiles and laptops.

He further said that Karan Kundra has helped him a lot with the show as we both believe that youth should get more opportunity and web series as medium is surely going to increase the number of opportunities.

Transporters Appeal to Reopen e-payment Service for Inter-State Tax Barrier

Chandigarh 18th July:- The Punjab Transport Department, recently withdrew the service of e-payment for Inter-State Tax Barrier. Several transporters, who have been earlier using the portal to pay online the Inter-State Tax, have started to appeal to the Chief Minister, Transport Minister and Transport Commissioner of Punjab to reopen e-payment service. Through tweets as well as the letters, several transporters stated that this move of withdrawal of the e-payment service is not only creating inconvenience to the people but also brings in the question the functioning and accountability of the Punjab Transport Department.

In a move that will affect lakhs of people entering the state and pay the tax stress-free, people have been stressing on the fact that now that the process is manual again, there is more scope of local failure, data loss, and inconsistency.

Piyush Singhal from Delhi, who operates multiple commercial vehicles, said that paying the interstate tax online was such relief! It seems cruel, that the department has now suddenly decided to pull out the service of online payment. This is creating a huge inconvenience for me as a lot of time is wasted to get the same processed via the old method. He also mentioned that he has already written an email for the same and reached out to the CM of Punjab for help on Twitter.

Sanjeev Kumar, a taxi operator from Hamirpur district in Himachal, also expressed his disappointment via a letter to the Transport Department, over the departments’ sudden decision.

In an era of payment gateways, digital wallets, and the like, where the business landscape is increasingly dominated by online payments, this move by the department has not only created confusion for the transporters but also bought into question the functioning of the department.

Chandigarh 18th July:- पंजाब सिविल सचिवालय के कर्मचारियों ने आज पंजाब सिविल सचिवालय एम्प्लॉय एसोसिएशन के प्रधान सुखचैन सिंह खैरा के नेतृत्व में रोष प्रदर्शन करते हुए राज्य के वितमंत्री मनप्रीत सिंह बादल से भीख मांगी। पिछले तीन साल से डी ए की बकाया रकम न जारी किये जाने एवं और अन्य मांगो को लेकर कर्मचारी नारे लगते हुए वित मंत्री के ऑफिस के सामने पहुंचे। 

कर्मचारियों के हाथों में खाली कटोरी और थालियें थी, जिसे खड़का कर कर्मचारियों ने वित मंत्री से अपना डी ए की बकाया राशि जल्द से जल्द जारी किये जाने की अपील की। कर्मचारियों ने दोष लगाया कि न तो डी ए कि बकाया राशि जारी की जा रही है और न ही डी ए की किश्तें लगाई जा रही है। बल्कि उल्टा कर्मचारियों पर टैक्स थोप दिया गया है और डोप टेस्ट की शर्तें लगा कर उन सभी को परेशान  किया जा रहा है।

एसोसिएशन के नेताओं ने कहा कि न तो वित कमिश्नर कुछ कर रहे है और न ही उनकी सैलरी में वृद्धि कि जा रही है। जब कि महंगाई दिन प्रति दिन बढ़ती जा रही है।  नेताओं ने इस अवसर पर ऐलान किया कि जब तक उनकी मांगे नहीं मानी जाती तब तक उनका संघर्ष जारी रहेगा।

भाजपा को लगेगा ब्राह्मणों का श्राप: रामबिलास शर्मा दें इस्तीफा: नवीन जयहिंद

Chandigarh 17th July:- आम आदमी पार्टी के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष नवीन जयहिंद ने प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा विवादों में घिरों एसएसएस बोर्ड के चेयरमैन को बहाल किए जाने की कार्यवाही की कड़े शब्दों में निंदा करते हुए कहा कि भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने पिछले चार वर्ष के दौरान इस प्रदेश को धर्म व जाति के नाम पर बांटने काम किया है।

उन्होंने कहा कि एक दागी व्यक्ति को फिर से भ्रष्टाचार के लिए उसी पद पर बिठा दिया गया है जिस पर रहते हुए उनपर न केवल आरोप लगे थे बल्कि उन्होंने इस पद की गरिमा को भी कलंकित किया था। इस पूरी कार्रवाई को अंजाम देने वाली भारतीय जनता पार्टी को ब्राह्मणों का श्राप लगेगा। इस पूरे प्रकरण में भाजपा ने प्रदेश भर के ब्राह्मणों को बुरी तरह से अपमानित किया है। किसी भी जाति या धर्म को अपमानित करने का अधिकार किसी सरकार के पास नहीं है।

नवीन जयहिंद ने भाजपा के वरिष्ठ मंत्री रामबिलास शर्मा से इस्तीफे की मांग करते हुए कहा कि ब्राह्मणों के पैरोकार बनने वाले शर्मा बताएं कि सरकार ने इस मामले में आरोपियों के विरूद्ध कहां एफआईआर करवाई है और उन्हें क्या सजा दी गई है। जयहिंद ने कहा कि रामबिलास शर्मा अगर सही मायने में ब्राह्मण हैं तो उन्हें इस्तीफा देना चाहिए।

Haryana FM to Award Top Performing Industries of Panchkula at Panchkula Industry Icons Awards

Chandigarh 17th July:- Panchkula being the hub of different industries holds an important position in the state of Haryana. To recognise the contribution that Panchkula has made to the Industrial growth  of not just tricity but even Haryana, a one of a kind Awards' event - Panchkula Industry Icons' Awards(PIIA) will be held onJuly 24, 2018 at WelcomHotel Bella Vista, Sec 5 here. Capt Abhimanyu, Finance Minister of Haryana has consented to be the Chief Guest at the event. The award function is being organized by The Catalysts PR & Productions, a front running PR agency of the region in Association with India DinBhar, which is an upcoming news & infotainment based portal. This initiative has been taken in collaboration with Industries Association of Panchkula(IAP), which is dealing with issues connected with Industries in Panchkula quite effectively

 The research shows that the main sectors which are contributing to the growth of Industry in Panchkula are wood craft , designer glass solutions , testing laboratories, packaging, modular kitchens,  fabrication solution providers, auto ancillary units, steel & iron based units, gears & switches manufacturers, software solutions, shuttering & scaffolding, e-auto rickshaw etc.

PGI Organizes Swachh Indira Colony Campaign Fortnight from 12th July 2018 to July 26

Chandigarh 17th July:- Swachh Indira Colony Campaign Fortnight is being organised from 12^th July 2018 to 26^th July 2018 by PGIMER, Chandigarh in collaboration with Municipal Corporation- Chandigarh, local welfare associations and other key local members in the area. Various activities have been carried out in the area which include cleanliness drive in Indira Colony near railway line, shiv mandir and old Indira Colony; awareness campaign on segregation of waste in ward no 26 and backside of Indira flats; demonstration of swacchta app;an awareness rally was organised in which school children, the President Public Health Development Society, members from samasya samadhan group, school teachers and doctors posted at Indira Colony participated.

It was to create awareness about prevention from vector born diseases and importance of sanitation in general. House to house visits were also done in ward no.26.  Heads of various religious institutes &anganwadi supervisors were motivated to mobilise the masses for lectures on sanitation & segregation of waste to be organised on coming days during the Campaign Fortnight. Monitoring and supervision is stringently being carried out and challans are being issued to the offenders.
