Chandigarh Administration Holds Tree Plantation Drive

Chandigarh 15^th August:- As a part of Independence Day 2016 celebrations, a tree plantation drive was conducted today at the UT Guest House, Chandigarh. Various medicinal plants were planted by the senior officials of the Chandigarh Administration, namely Parimal Rai, Adviser to the Administrator, Maninder Singh, Chairman, CHB, K. Narasimha, Secretary Statistics, Bhawna Garg, Special Secretary Finance, Baldeo Pursushartha, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ajit Balalji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, Kavita Singh, MD, Citco, Deepak Kumar, Special Secretary Home, Jitender Yadav, Secretary House Allotment (Lower)-cum-Director Hospitality, Santosh Kumar, CCF & Director  (Sci. & Tech. & RE), Prince Dhawan, SDM(C), Kriti Garg, SDM(S), Karnail Singh, Director Animal Husbandry And Fisheries, Navjot Kaur, PCS, Director, Public Relations and Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director School Education.

The drive was conducted as an initiative to promote plantation of medicinal plants in the city. The administration urged the citizens to contribute in the plantation of different varieties of medicinal plants throughout the city along with other plants.
