'Trends': An Indo Pak Wedding & Lifestyle Exhibition Starts

Chandigarh 31st March:- Trends ‘An Indo Pak Wedding & Lifestyle Exhibition’ started at Kisan Bhawan, Sec 35. The 4-day showcase of latest fashion trends in apparel, accessories, home décor etc will be on till April 3. The exhibition offers choicest collections of both Pakistani as well as Indian designers. There are Exhibitors from Afghanistan too.
Pankaj Jain, Organiser of ‘Trends’ said that the unique aspect of the Exhibition certainly is the Pakistan Onyx marble & the really soft fabric based designer wear from Pakistan which is perfect for summers. The famous Fatehpur Sikri stone has also been showcased among many more lifestyle products.
The Pakistani showcase is the centre of attraction at ‘Trends’.  Mrs Nasreen Akhtar & Mrs Shahnaz Iqbal have brought their label ‘Kanza Collections’ from Multan. They specialize in Multani suitings. Mrs Kausar Sheikh & Mrs Samina Waqar are there with ‘Attire Collection’, with their unique Pakistani embroideries. A collection of enticing range of Pakistani Lawn Suitings has been displayed by Insaf & Co. ‘Fahad Collection’ which has a range of Ladies Lahori Suitings is here. ‘Rehana Collection centre’ has displayed special hand-made Ladies designer attires. N.Y.Traders is here with Ladies suitings in Loose Fabrics. ‘Aadiaz Collection’ is also here with pure chiffon. A range from the label ‘Aarish’ too has been displayed. Then there’s Laila’s Art, Gimmiks, ZA Collection & Sophia from Lahore has brought an enchanting collection liked by many. The label ‘Cholistan’ is here with its owner Asma Amir.
 ‘Nadia Collection’ has got Pakistani Dry Fruits. ‘Nadeem Enterprises’ has a unique collection of Onyx - the popular Pakistani stone for decorative purposes, and the stall is attracting a lot of visitors. Hiba Ibrahim Couture from Afghanistan is also here with the finest Afghani quality.

Diya, a visitor said that the fact that an exhibitor has come from Afghanistan – a country ravaged by war, points to the fact that India is playing a role in giving a boost to traders from the country and this is appreciable. The exhibition is also a treasure trove for latest Pakistani fashion.
Apart from Pakistani & Afghan exhibitors top designers from across the region & country are also displaying their wares at ‘Trends’. Fashion lovers from the city can look forward to designers like ‘Mrignaini’ from Panchkula who’s designer sarees are quite a draw. ‘The Sixth Sense’ promises a cool collection of soft cotton suits & trendy dresses to beat the North Indian heat & look savvy at the same time. ‘Shabanaz Creation’ from Ludhiana.

It’s not just all designer wear & wedding couture at Trends. ‘Me & You’ has displayed handloom & gift items. ‘Fadnez -- by Vijay Furniture’ is providing furniture items to liven up your home’s interiors. The Jewellery genres available are exquisite.  Antique Jewellery, CZ/AD Jewellery, Polki Jewellery, Temple Jewellery,Navratna Jewellery , Kundan Jewellery, Jadau Jewellery , Theva Jewellery are on display. Fatehpur Sikri’s famous stone has been brought by Nawab from ‘Natural Handicrafts’.
