Artists of Jugni Cultural & Youth Welfare Club organizes Performances of Folk Songs & Dances of Punjab

Chandigarh 19th September:- The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Chandigarh, in collaboration with Pracheen Kala Kendra, organized a performance of Folk Songs & Dances of Punjab at Kosers' Auditorium, Pracheen Kala Kendra, Mohali on yesterday late evening.
Divulging further, Davinder Singh, President of the Jugni Cultural & Youth Welfare Club said that ICCR is organizing cultural performances by artistes in the region every month under the "Horizon Series" programme thus contributing towards promotion and propagation of rich cultural traditions of the region. In this series of the council, Religious Song 'Shukar Dateya' was presented by Lakhbir Singh Lakhi, Folk Dance 'Luddi' was very mesmerizingly showcased by Gurmeet Kaur, Simarpreet Kaur, Sparshdhar, Ankita Kanwar, Arshdeep Kaur, Himani, Money, Tejdeep Kaur, Harmi, Gurleen Kaur and Supriya Dolly, Bachan Ram, Surmukh, Sigar, Gagandeep Singh and Harshdeep Singh Lakhi. 'Kawishri (Lok Tatth)' by Hardeep Singh, Sehajdeep Singh and Vishwajit Singh.
The wonderful presentation of 'Vaar (Baba Banda Singh Bahadur' by Harman, Hardeep & Vishwajit Singh, folk song 'Mitti Da Bawa' by Gurmeet Kular, 'Mirza' by Gagangeet, song 'Na Bachdey Vekhe Nagniye' by Lakhvir Singh Lakhi, 'Beenbaja Nachar' by Garjaram and party, another song by Honey, Martial Dance 'Gatka' by Jagdeep Singh, Harmanjit Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Ishwinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Vikas, Honey, Harneet Singh, Parwinder Kaur, Diljit Singh, Kala, Sarbjeet and Batta and that of 'Bhangra' by Ashmit Singh, Suvansh, Amanjot Singh, Sahil, Manpreet Singh, Saagar, Dilbagh and Gurinder Singh left the audience dancing who were spellbound by the talented artists of Jugni Cultural & Youth Welfare Club.
