By Tricitynews
Chandigarh 23rd April:- MX Player, the world’s largest local video player and India’s leading streaming platform has begun streaming its latest offering, #ElectionsOnMX, offering a plethora of content on the world’s largest democratic exercise – The 2019 Indian General Elections.
But their promise of offering ‘everytainment’ doesn’t stop there! Adding a dose of entertainment to the heat and dust of the polls, the platform wowed the citizens of Chandigarh through an entertaining, educative and captivating theatrical!Organized at Sector 22, on the 23nd of April, the city saw a group of talented theatre artistes perform a short street play, talking about all the election offerings and shows showcased on the platform.
As a part of the Natak, the artistes started with theatrically performing everything we can expect from one of the offerings, Sawaal Vote Ka, a first of its kind, “live debate” format that pits the common man against the local representative of different political parties in their constituency. Then switching props, they dramatically but smoothly burst into comically explaining what the audience can expect from Kiski Sarkar, a satirical series with a comic view on political news, hosted by India’s most loved stand up artists. And last but not the least, they grippingly talk about the action packed live streaming that is available on the platform from not one but 76 news channels. All this encouraging the audience to tune into these segments on the app.
Elaborating on the same, Karan Bedi, CEO – MX Player said that the biggest electorate in the world is ready to cast its vote with the Indian General Elections of 2019. The number of voters has gone up by more than 5 times since the first general election was held and this year promises to see an increased voter turnout. Given the current election euphoria in the nation and staying true to our promise of Jaisa Mann, WaisaManoranjan, we have decided to bring viewers #ElectionsOnMx. This is our strikingly different take on elections, with a focus on the drama that is the great Indian Political Theatre as opposed to plain news, because at MX Player, it’s not just about entertainment but everytainment.
