TIA Holds its Annual Function & Certificate Distribution Ceremony

Chandigarh 29th March:-Tressed–Up International Academy (TIA), Manimajra, Chandigarh held its Annual Function & Certificate Distribution Ceremony at the Academy’s premises. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Anil Dubey, Dy Mayor; Chandigarh & Ms. Jaspreet Kaur Hans, a Film Maker & Director was the Guest of Honor. The event saw giving away of 5 Months & 1 year Diploma Certificates to passing out students by the Dy Mayor as well as Ms. Jaspreet Kaur Hans. The Diplomas were awarded in the disciplines of Hair, Beauty & Make Up. 
Mehboob Khan, Director, Tressed-Up International Academy, said that we started the academy as there was no worthwhile option available for women & men who wanted to do hair, beauty, make up etc related career oriented courses, in a hands on manner. Our USP is as an emphasis on practical training. It gives him great pleasure to announce that our old students are today well placed & some are based abroad too. The ones passing out in this batch too have been placed in the beauty industry.
Anil Dubey, Dy Mayor, Chandigarh congratulated the team behind the Academy for doing yeoman’s service, by providing skill based training for better job prospects. He announced a financial grant from his official funds to the Academy for meeting expenses of students from the economically weaker section.
Ms. Jaspreet Kaur Hans recounted her experiences as a successful film professional, in a male dominated world. She said that by having confidence in oneself women can achieve wonders & that the women who have got certificates today, should have faith in their abilities for attaining their career aims. She added that films provide a readymade platform for skilled make-up artists & beauty experts. She feels that such academies are the need of the hour for the film as well as the beauty industry.
 
TIA specializes in organizing workshops & guest lectures by working Industry professionals. Heena Khan, CEO, Tressed Up Academy said that as our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) we try to make women aware of the great opportunity available in the beauty industry & the qualification required is not much, even if you are 10th pass you can learn the skills. We try to empower women through training. Many of our women students after training have set up their own saloons.
As many as 25 students were given their diplomas in the simple yet impressive ceremony by the dignitaries.
