NSS Camp Concludes at Dev Samaj College for Women

New Delhi 03rd Jan, 2020:- A 7 Day NSS Camp organised at Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45 B, Chandigarh has concluded. Several activities showcasing the NSS motto "Not Me, But You" were organised under the supervision of Programme Officers, Dr. Anupam Rani and Leena Gupta.
Bikram Singh Rana, State Liaison  Officer and Dr Navdeep Sharma, NSS Programme Coordinator, Panjab University, Chandigarh were the Chief Guests at the Valedictory function on the concluding day of the NSS camp.
A well-coordinated dance performance by the students of Burail village was followed by two Nukkad Nataks on the significant campaigns - ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ and ‘Ek Bharat Swacch Bharat’.
The camp witnessed varied sessions ranging from physical fitness, health and hygiene, total wellness to capacity building, AIDS awareness, welfare activities and environmental awareness.
Various activities focusing on, ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’, ‘Swacch Bharat’ and ‘Jal hi Jeevan Hai’ were conducted. A beauty and wellness session for the ladies of Burail village and free skill-building sessions were also held for children of Burail village, where they were given some valuable tips to save water.
During the camp traffic rules sessions were also conducted by ASI Ashok Kumar and ASI Bhupinder Singh from the Traffic Police Department, Chandigarh. Capacity-building workshops were also held on tribal art of Dadar and Nagar Haveli, candle making and best out of waste.
Bikram Singh Rana appreciated the sense of dedication and hard work put forth by the students throughout the camp’s activities under the guidance of the program officers. Dr. Navdeep Sharma too motivated the students with his inspiring speech and urged to observe the principle of three Ds of NSS – Duty, Discipline and Dedication.
Dr. Meena Chopra, The principal of Dev Samaj College for Women also applauded the students and the program officers for the successful camp. The day ended with a vote of thanks by Leena Gupta, the Program Officer.
