July:- Chandigarh Health Department in Collaboration with
Municipal Corporation, Gynae. Department GMCH-32 and State Bank of Patiala is
going to organize free Health Camp at Civil Dispensary, Sector 8 on 30th July, 2016
(Saturday) from 8.00 AM onwards. This is in continuation of previous
Five Health Camps held at Daddu Majra, Maulijagran, Dhanas, Ramdarbar and
PHD-25. Dr. Vanita Gupta, Director Health Services said “The doctors from
various specialities like Medicine, Gynae., Skin, Eye and ENT will be examining
patients and will be providing free consultation.” Health promotion and
awareness generation regarding prevention, timely detection and management of
Non Communicable Diseases and other diseases will be the main highlight of the
screening camp.People will be screened for Leprosy, Oral, Breast and Cervical Cancers.
Women above 30 yrs will be screened for Breast and Cervical Cancer by Gynaecologists
from Chandigarh Health Department and Gynae deptt GMCH-32. Risk profiling of
patients will also be done for Non Communicable Diseases. General public will
also be sensitised about adoption of healthy lifestyle including healthy food
and importance of physical activity. Mobile food testing van will also be
available at the venue for testing food samples and various laboratory tests
including Blood Sugar, HIV and VDRL will also be conducted at the venue.
