By Tricitynewsonline Reporter
Chandigarh 02nd August:- To bring alive the patriotic fervor of Independence day, India’s leading Hindi entertainment channel, ZEE TV will pay a tribute to the nation’s rich and diverse culture, salute its martyrs and celebrate the country’s achievements with a special program called ‘Aisa Desh Hai Mera’. Set to air on Sunday 7th August at 6PM, the program will have an eclectic line-up of entertaining acts by some of the biggest names on Indian television like Gurmeet Choudhary & wife Debina, Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh, Karan Tacker and many more popular stars. Making it even more special is the presence of the Khiladi of Bollywood and one of the most loved and adored superstars, Akshay Kumar.
Akshay will be seen joining in the vibrant celebrations of Independence day to promote his upcoming thriller Rustom, co-produced by Zee Studios. The film is largely inspired by the famous case of KM Nanavati V/S State of Maharashtra that changed the face of the Indian Judicial system. The promos have already created quite a stir and curiosity amongst the audiences.
Known for his impeccable comic timing, Akshay shared interesting nuggets about how patriotic he is at the shoot of ‘Aisa Desh Hai Mera’. He revealed that he eat noodles with pudina chutney and dip his burger in rasam rather than sauce. Also on his birthday, he cut rasgullas instead of a cake. He wear denim dhotis and for him A is for anaar, B for Badaam and C for choona.’ He went on to add that he is such a true blue Desi that he broke a cococnut in front of the world famous Statue of Liberty and put a garland on the painting of Mona Lisa’. This literally had the audience in splits and even got him a standing ovation.
The gorgeous Asha Negi who will be anchoring the show along with Jay Bhanushali admitted that she’s in love with Akshay and that he is her favourite actor. This unabashed declaration of love actually had the Khiladi Kumar turn beetroot red. But being the thorough gentleman, Akshay thanked Asha and gave her quite the fan girl moment to remember for years to come when he waltzed with her on the romantic number, Tere Sang Yaara. Asha was visibly overjoyed and couldn’t thank him enough.
The extravaganza will have high energy acts by television heartthrobs Rithvik Dhanjani who will perform a desi hip-hop act, Karan Tacker and DID Líl Masters fame Rohan who will pay a tribute to the Indian army in their own unique and funny style, dressed as Munnabhai and Circuit amongst many other performances.
