presence felt across fiction and reality shows on the tube, the gorgeous
Kishwer Merchantt is back with Zee TV’s weekend special fantasy thriller
‘Brahmarakshas’ produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. She will be seen
playing the role of the antagonist Aparajita, who is beautiful in sharp
contrast to her vicious nature. She has been suppressed and dominated by her
second husband Aditya and behaves as per his whims and demands. But how long
will she suppress her true colors for all to see?
With elements of drama, intrigue and thrills and an impressive ensemble cast, Brahmarakshas is bound to fascinate every member of the family. The leading lady of the show is none other than the young and talented Krystle D’souza who has mesmerized millions of viewers with her beauty and charm. Television heartthrob Aham Sharma has been cast opposite Krystle as the male lead of the show while the renowned Rakshanda Khan plays his mother’s role. The casting for the Brahamrakshas is still in process.
Kishwer said that the show’s gripping storyline and her layered character are the prime reasons for her accepting this offer. She was looking for something different and the role of the mysterious Aparajita seemed like a good opportunity. The show explores the concept of demons, the existence of which is well documented in our Vedas. Having said that, it is a fictionalized account. People know little about Brahmarakshas’ but there is always a fascination for unraveling the unknown. Such concepts are differentiated from the run-of-the-mill saas bahu sagas and offer something fresh for the entire family to enjoy over the weekends. She is really excited and eagerly waiting for it to hit the TV screens on 6th August.
Brahmarakshas is the story of a young girl from Mumbai named Raina who goes to Kamalpura with her best friend to attend a wedding. On reaching there, Raina and Rishabh lose the one person who was special to both of them in an encounter with the Brahmarakshas. Raina & Rishabh decide to get into a contract marriage so that they can take the Brahmarakshas to task as he is responsible for the death of all the women wearing Sindoor, Chuda and Payal.
