Chandigarh 11th
August:- Unceasingly
adding to its bouquet of services, Jugnoo announces the launch of ‘Meals’. The
meal delivery service is a part of the company’s recently launched Fatafat app
and will enable patrons in Chandigarh tricity, to order delightful ‘ready to
eat’ meals for lunch to their doorsteps. Customers would be able to choose from
a daily-changing handpicked menu that includes premium sandwiches, meal combos
and exclusive desserts, among others without any minimum order price. Thriving
on its well established network of auto-rickshaws and engaging the workforce in
the logistics of the new business, the orders will be delivered by Jugnoo
drivers, during their free time.
Elaborating further on the new launch, Nitish Singh, CFO Jugnoo
who is heading Fatafat and Meals verticals commented that the idea is optimum
utilization of the available resources. We have a large network of
auto-rickshaws and having them empanelled under Jugnoo, we believe it is our
responsibility to ensure their profitability. With every new service that we
have launched till date, we have ensured that our drivers have a lucrative role
to play in it. We are definitely expanding, but with each expansion we are
creating new avenues for our drivers to earn extra.
Nitish
Singh further
said that Fatafat is a profitable food delivery platform. We don’t want to burn
cash like other players in this segment. The intention is to focus on quality
rather than quantity. We plan to keep the demand limited and get the food sold
within a time span of just 15 minutes. We have tied up with some popular brands
in Chandigarh and plan to empanel vendors who clear our quality parameters.
The new launch offers meal delivery service throughout
Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, taking orders between 12 midnight to 12 noon.
People can choose between two delivery slots, the first one being 12:30 pm-1:30
pm and second between 1:30 pm-2:30 pm. The company is planning to launch meals
for evening snacks and dinner as well, within a week’s time.
