MCM organizes Music Talent Hunt

Chandigarh 08th August:- The Music Department of MCM DAV College for Women organized Music Talent Hunt to recognize and nurture the exceptional talent of its students.
The competitions saw enthusiastic participation of over 70 students in various categories, enthralling an audience of over 500 with their melodious renditions. Distinguished alumna of the college, Simran Chaudhary of ZEE SA RE GA MA PA fame and Paramjot – best vocalist of the college were the judges. In the first year category, Namita stood 1st while Surbhi and Khyati bagged the 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively. Kirandeep came 1st, Pankhuri 2nd and Amandeep 3rd in the second and third year category. In the Music (Instrumental) category, Ritika was adjudged First while Himanshi came second. Shweta bagged 1st position while Ravneek and Meenakshi stood 2nd and 3rd, respectively in non music students’ category.
Principal of the college Dr. Nisha Bhargava appreciated the endeavour of Music department to provide a unique platform to students to showcase their talent and encouraged students to utilize these exceptional opportunities to further their aspirations.
