Police Arrest Daria Resident While Playing Satta:Three Unknown Persons Snatch Purse from Lady of Sector 37

Chandigarh 24^th March:-Chandigarh Police arrested Shahid R/o # 935, Village Daria, Chandigarh near ACC Cement godown, Village Dariya, Chandigarh, while playing satta and recovered 625/- from his possession. A case FIR No. 62, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered at PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Accused later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Lal Singh R/o # 2274/1, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen his M/Cycle No. CH03-S-6041 near Housing Board Office, Sector-9, Chandigarh on 22.03.2017. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Arun Vats R/o # 2681, Ward No. 11, Kharar, Distt Mohali (PB) reported that someone has stolen his Honda Shine M/Cycle No. PB27-C-4784 parked at backside of SCO No. 820, Sector-22-A, Chandigarh. Pedestrian person got injuries and expired in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 84, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of Rakesh Kumar R/o # 3204/1, HBC, Dhanas, Chandigarh against driver of Accent Car No. CH04-A-4978 who struck his car into main water pipe at Slip Road near Chowk, Sector-38/39/40/41, Chandigarh on 22-03-2017. A lady resident of Sector 37-C Chandigarh alleged that three unknown persons occupant of motor cycle sped away after snatching her purse containing cash Rs. 2500/- near Community Centre, Sector 37-D, Chandigarh on 23.03.2017. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation is in progress.
