26th April:- ‘Empower Diva Pageant’ , a fund raiser
event for special children was held at Hotel Hyatt here today. The event was
organized by city based NGO, Empower- Joy which works for special children
betterment. During occasion, around dozen special
children walked the ramp along with models and celebrities besides taking part
in other fun filled activities.
Bharati Kapoor and Sharmita Bhinder, co-founders
of Empower said that we have organized ‘Empower Diva Pageant’ as a fundraiser
for our planning to build country’s first of its kind integrated school
with normal and special children on a 3-acres of land donated to us at
Aerocity . They shared further that we want
to talk about ability in each human being and focus on that so many children
will participate as well as we want to provide them a larger platform.
During occasion, Anil Malhotra, Head of
Carnival Group was Chief Guest.
Among others Former Mayor, Bibi
Harjinder Kaur, Andrew Ayer, British Deputy High
Commissioner and his wife Benitta Ayer and
Masha Ali, singer was also presented.
During occasion, 10 eminent women
achievers impacting social consciousness were also honored.
Meanwhile the show main sponsors are
Hyatt Regency as hospitality partner, Affinity Salon as styling partner,
Aaroos as design partner and Gia Diamonds as jewellery design partner.
