October:- World Mental Health Day was celebrated at
Government Model High School Sec 49,
under the leadership of Dr. Madhu Gupta, Additional Professor
School of Public Health , PGIMER Chandigarh. A
team comprising of Dr. Atul Gupta, Miss Veda Kumari Staff Nurse
and Chering Medical Social Worker visited the school campus and
promoted mental health education and awareness against various mental
health problems and to open up and talk about their problems. The
students and the teachers of the school were made
aware on how to the identify the common mental
illness and role of friends, family, and the teachers in the
management of common mental illnesses. About 80 students attended the
celebration and shared their queries with the team.
