2020:- Surajkund Mela is at its peak and the crowds
are pouring in large numbers. There is music, culture and festivities pervading
each and every corner of the Mela and the visitors and tourists are witnessing
one of the best celebrations of art and craft in the world.
A number of
performances and shows have painted the canvas of the mela with bright colours
and memories to remember. There is a
musical evening lined up for the evening of 8th February 2020. The
visitors will be treated to the electrifying musical performance of the much
talented Padamjeet Sherawat, who will present to the audience with a medley of
hit Bollywood numbers. Throughout the day buzzing with folk and musical
performances various artists from across India as well as from abroad.
The Punjabi
folk group is creating waves with its foot tapping folk numbers which keep the
audience glued to their chairs. Egyptian performers too have given the pleasure
of witnessing true Egyptian art and electrifying performances. These groups are
much loved by everyone and wait for their performance to start every day.
A special Rajasthani
Folk performance at Chaupal brought to the audience a slice of Rajashtani folk
art. There were numerous performances lined up by the Rajasthani teams. There
were dances forms like Kachhighodi, Kalbelia dance, Chari dance and Ghoomar.
Each of these dance forms had a unique story to tell and was loved by the
audience. There were folk singers from Rajasthan who added the colours of royal
music to the chaupal. Rafeeq Langa presented the Khadtal instrumental and
singing performance and Ghafruddin Mewatigave a scintillating performance on
Bhapangwadan.
Visitors
also take a break from the shopping and relax at the food court. There is a
huge list of delicacies to choose from like Himachli food, Rajasthani food
Chinese, continental, Mughlai and even delicious chaat. Make sure you discover
this culinary treasure whenever you visit the Surajkund Mela.
