Azim Premji Foundation Invites Youths with a Passion for Social Change

Chandigarh 10th April:- Azim Premji Foundation has invited candidates to join the Foundation as Associates, School Teachers or Teacher Educators. Graduates or Postgraduates with good understanding of their subject and passion for school education, and a minimum 2 years teaching experience can apply as Teacher Educators, in the District Institutes of the Azim Premji Foundation. Candidates with experience in education NGOs may also apply. Applications are open till 12thApril, 2019 to apply online through www.azimpremjifoundation.org.
Foundation has established eight demonstration schools. These are located in Dhamtari (Chhattisgarh), Sirohi and Tonk (Rajasthan), Uttarkashi, Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand) and Yadgir (Karnataka) and proposed schools are to be set up at Barmer (Rajasthan) and Kalaburagi (Karnataka). Here the opportunities exist to join as a school teacher and help students develop as sensitive and engaged citizens. Anyone with deep interest to work with children and having a graduate degree with a teaching degree can apply.
Opportunities also exist for fresh post graduates with fluency in local language. One year Associate Program enables them to get immersed in the realities of education in government schools in rural India and be prepared to work with teachers after one year of program. During this one year, Associates get into guided classroom teaching and develop understanding on nuances of teaching - learning processes and larger education system. Applications for associate’s role are open till 15th April. Students who passed out in 2018 or expected to complete post-graduation in 2019 are eligible to apply. Those who have already participated in this year’s on-campus process won’t be able to reappear. Minimum compensation for the above roles is Rs 29,000 per month.
