31st December:- Celebrating
a decade in 2017, SulaFest is leaving no stone unturned to make the occasion
extra special. The country’s most awaited gourmet, wine, drinks, music, fashion and more… festival is announcing
the ‘SulaFest Rise and Shine Contest’–a contest that offers promising Indian
artists a chance to be a part of The Line-up of the Year.
Known for bringing fresh artists from
across the globe including India-featuring a wide range of genres, SulaFest’s
contest is open to all forms of music, be it rock, techno, reggae, ska, indie,
folk, electronic or jazz.
The amazing line-up this year
includes popular bands from around the world, ranging from the UK, Italy,
Israel, Argentina, India, Bosnia, Germany and more! Some of these include
Grammy nominated as well as world festival favorites such as Dubioza Kolektiv,
Jan Blomqvist and Band, Loco and Jam, Afro Celt Sound System, The Raghu Dixit
Project, Swing rowers, Dhruv Voyage, The Scavengers, Indian Ocean, Nucleya and
many, many more.
What’s even more exciting is that the two winning acts will not only
get an opportunity to perform alongside these heavyweights but will also
receive free studio time at Mumbai’s famed Cotton Press Studio which has seen
sessions with some of the country’s biggest artists.
To participate, all artists and/or
bands must be 18 years above and submit a live performance video, of one of
their original compositions, between 60 to 180 seconds in length. For more
details on the rules to qualify for participation, visit www.sulawines.com/riseandshine.
Registrations will close on January
10th, 2017. All video entries will then be shortlisted by the SulaFest
jury panel before being uploaded to Sula Vineyards’ Facebook page for online
voting from January 13th to January 15th.
