दीपावली फेस्टिवल: बिकानो ने दिवाली गिफ्ट पैक किये लांच

Chandigarh 03rd October:- फेस्टिवल सीजन नजदीक आते ही कंपनियों की तरफ से अपने उत्पादों के न केवल नए नए आफर बाजार में उतारे जाते है बल्कि अपने उत्पादों के आकर्षक और बाजिब दाम वाले गिफ्ट पैक तक पेश किए जाते है। इसी दिशा में देश भर में नमकीनस्वीट्स और स्नैक्स के अग्रणी निर्माता बिकानो ने भारतीय बाजार में अपने दीवाली स्पेशल गिफ्ट पैक” की पूरी रेंज लांच की। चंडीगढ़ में हुए एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान बिकानो के वाईस प्रेजिडेंट सेल्स अजय अग्रवाल ने इन्हें लांच किया।
लॉन्चिंग के बाद पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए अजय अग्रवाल ने कहा कि बिकानो की तरफ से दीवाली अवसर के मद्देनजर  स्पेशल गिफ्ट पैक की जो रेंज उतारी गयी हैउसमे 17 तरह के गिफ्ट्स है। उन्होंने बताया कि गिफ्ट पैक की कीमत 150 रुपये से 750 रुपये के बीच है। उन्होंने बताया कि गिफ्ट पैक चार से 6 माह तक टिकाऊ है।
अजय अग्रवाल के अनुसार बिकानो की मीठा बंधनउत्तमडॉयफ्रूइट डिलाइट्स सहित दर्ज़न भर मिठाईयां बाजार में उपलब्ध है। पर सोनपापड़ी और रसगुल्ला तो बेहद ही लोकप्रिय है। मिठाई के अलावा आलू भुजियाबीकानेरी खट्टा मीठाटेस्टी नवरत्न,  पीनटमूंग दालचना दाल चना मसालानटखट निम्बूभेलपुरीआल इन वनचना पटाकाशाही मिक्सचरकॉर्नफ्लैक्स मिक्सचरकाजू मिक्सचरकश्मीरी मिक्सचरबादाम लच्छा और बूंदी  इत्यादि नमकीन की पूरी वैरायटी उपलब्ध है।
उन्होंने बताया कि बिकानो के 3 प्लांट है और 30 फीसदी वृद्धि रेट के साथ सालाना कारोबार 800 करोड़ रुपये हैं।

Gandhi Jayanti: RWA Sector 46 organizes Swacchta Abhiyaan

Chandigarh 03rd October:- Residents welfare association (RWA)sector:46-A, chandigarh organized Swacchta Abhiyaan programme on the occassion of Gandhi Jayanti. Municipal Corporation Chandigarh Senior Deputy Mayor and area councillor Gurpreet Singh Dhillon was the Chief Guest on the occassion. Deepak Sharma(Tenament Cell Conveyor-BJP), Ruby Gupta-Vice President BJP Mahila Morcha State, Monika Bhardwaj- BJP MM State, Superiya Goel- Zila Secretary  BJP, Meena Chadha-Mandal Secretary BJP, Pavita Saini- Sammiti Pradhan BJP, Geeta Mishra, Sangeeta were also present on the occasion.
Harnek Singh-President, Pushkar Rawat-General Secretary, Balbir Sharma-Chairman, Baldev Raj-Advisor, Subhash-Joint Secretary, Jagmal Chaudhary- Vice-President, Yadwinder-Cashier, Vicky-Vice Cashier,s J oginder Hooda-Member also present on this occassion .
Gurpreet Singh Dhillon shared  the importance of hygiene and cleanliness with the residents. He appeals to the residents to keep their house, surroundings,gardens, roads neat n clean. He also announces that the strike of the door to door garbage collectors is over and told to the residents that from today /tomorrow onwards garbage collectors collect the garbage from door to door..... But residents have to segregate the wet and dry garbage at their home in separate dustbins.




Orthotrends 2018: India’s Biggest Ortho Conference, To Be Held in Chandigarh on Oct 6-7

Chandigarh 03rd October:- The fifth edition of the annual international orthopedics conclave, Orthotrends 2018, will be held in Chandigarh on October 6 and 7 this year with the theme of“Exploring New Horizons in Arthroplasty.”
Over 400 orthopedic surgeons from India and select parts of the world have confirmed participation at the event which is designed, as the name suggests,to allow participants to catch up with the latest trends in the field of orthopedics and provide a strong platform for academia-industry interaction.
Key highlights this year include ten live surgeries, Keynote addresses on critical aspects of knee and hip surgeries, case-based panel discussions, free papers and hands-on workshops for experiential learning in an ambience that will foster good networking amongst orthopedic specialists. Special sessions on bariatric and liver are other attractions.
More than 30 eminent orthopedic surgeons,including three international faculties, will address the audiences.A trade exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the mega event.The live surgeries, including complex total knee replacement (TKR) and total hip replacement (THR), will be broadcast live from the Shalby Hospital in Mohali.

Experts from Film Industry Steer Tricity Students to Become Filmmakers at Chitkara International School

Chandigarh 03rd October:- A three-day long workshop, CineMaestro – ‘shaping future filmmakers’, an inter-school filmmaking competition started today at Chitkara International School (CIS). The day one witnessed oodles of fervor for cinematography among the students of tricity at Chitkara International School. Cinevidya-a path breaking Social Enterprise initiated by Amitabha Singh, a Cinematographer and Producer of the Indian film industry, in collaboration with CIS geared for disseminating art of film making to the 250 participants from 14 schools. 
Illustrious professionals of film industry accompanied by their skilled team taught the fundamentals of film making.  Amitabha Singh, known for his work in Khosla ka GhoslaChillar Party etc. trained the kids to become filmmakers and introduced Film Craft to them. Another module, named “Film Choreography” was touched upon by famous choreographer Feroz Khan, notable for choreographing the songs of leading films like Dear Zindagi, Phillauri, Badrinath ki dulhaniya, Veere Di wedding, Mitron etc and for judging Zee TV’s Dance India Dance.
The students were also exposed to “Film acting” as a module by Supavitra Babul the eminent Screenwriter and Director. He explained the basics and nuances of Film acting and how to express themselves through this medium. Bijit Kundu, renowned Art Director gave insights on “Animation”, highlighting story boarding as an integral part of storytelling, character development, story development, flip books etc.  Every module of the workshop was demonstrated by practical engagement of the participants.
Applauding Amitabha’s vision of demystifying cinema for children, Dr Madhu Chitkara, Chairperson, Chitkara International School said that it is phenomenal to engage youth into art of filmmaking and then to help them craft what interests them. As the films capture immediate attention of children, this workshop is helping them capture their own interest and then present them through film making. It is our constant endeavour to provide avenues to the students that upgrade the skills and generate awareness in the up-and-coming arts and culture.




PU Youth & Heritage Festival(Zone B) Starts at DSCW: Over 250 Students from 9 Women Colleges Show Their Talent on Day 1

Chandigarh 03rd October:- The Panjab University Youth and Heritage Festival, Zone-B, started on a grand note at Dev Samaj College for Women(DSCW), Sector-45/B, here. The four-day event, to be held till  October 6th, 2018, was inaugurated today by Prof. Raj Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of Panjab University. The festival is for women colleges of Chandigarh & the region. The inaugural ceremony began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Vice-Chancellor along-with Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Dev Samaj, Dr Agnese Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj & Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education, Sec 36, Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director, Youth Welfare, PU and Dr Jaspal Kaur, Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women.
This was followed by a sonorous rendition of the bhajan “Bhala Chahna Manush Matra ka” and the Panjab Univerity Anthem. Keeping with the theme of the festival, “Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawano Ka”, Lt. Gen Harinder Singh and Brigadier Sukhdeep Singh Bhatia were felicitated on the occasion.
Principal, Dr. Jaspal Kaur, welcomed the Chief Guest other dignitaries, and wished all the very best to the participating teams. The Vice Chancellor released the souvenir to commemorate the occasion. Prof. Raj Kumar, saluted the armed forces for their services to the nation, and expressed his happiness to see the event of such status being held to contribute to the holistic development of the students. He also applauded the contribution of teachers in creating a thought process in the society, and the role of educational institutions in fostering the idea of ‘nation’ and in nurturing values.
On Day 1 of the fest, the colourfully decorated campus resonated with the soulful renditions in the Shabad / Bhajan, Classical Music, Gazal/Geet, Group singing & Folk Song competitions. Dr. Saubhagya Vardhan, Director, North Zone Cultural Centre, was the Chief Guest at the second session of the day. Bikram Singh Rana, State Liasion Officer, NSS, UT, Chandigarh and Astinder Kaur, National Award winner for best teacher from the President of India, were the guests of honour.
The day witnessed a magnificent  display of artistic talent of the participants in on the spot painting, collage making, rangoli, photography, clay modelling, cartooning, still life, poster making and installation competitions. 264 Girls from as many as 9 colleges of the region  took part in the competitions - the women colleges which are participating are the host college - Dev Samaj College for Women, Sec 45, Chandigarh, Post Graduate College for Women  Sector- 42, Chandigarh, Post Graduate College for Girls Sector- 11, Chandigarh, Government Home Science College, Sector- 10, Chandigarh, Shri Guru Gobind Singh College for Women ,Sector- 26, Chandigarh, MCM DAV College for women Sector- 36, Chandigarh. Not just Chandigarh, three colleges from Ludhiana too are part of the festival . These are - Mai Bhago College for Women, Ramgarh, Ludhiana,National College for Women, Machiwara, Ludhiana, Gur Gobind Singh Khalsa College for Women Jhar Sahib, Ludhiana.
It was not just show of artistic talent on Day 1. Students' brain power  was also put to test in a Heritage Quiz competition.
The four-day festival shall have a plethora of cultural and heritage items. Day 2 holds in store competitions spread over segments like Instrumental music, literary events, heritage art & craft and creative writing.  Four venues have been created in the premises of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sec 45, for smooth conduct of the competitive events.
