ICC and Coca-Cola Team Up to Celebrate Cricket

Chandigarh 31st Jan, 2019:- The International Cricket Council and Coca-Cola today announced that they have entered into a five-year global strategic partnership to celebrate one of the world’s most popular sports – cricket, and its global events. The partnership will see The Coca-Cola Company’s brands becoming exclusive non-alcoholic beverage partners of the ICC until 2023.
The five-year agreement includes all ICC events around the world including the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales, the ICC men’s and women’s T20 World Cups in Australia in 2020, the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021 in New Zealand and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India in 2023 amongst other global tournaments.
Importantly, the partnership will strategically align both the ICC and The Coca-Cola Company for the long-term by combining the strength of The Coca-Cola Company’s diversified portfolio of over 500 brands as well as worldwide reach with ICC’s ambition to expand the sport’s footprint globally.

Bollywood Choreographer Melvin Louis to Conduct Dance Workshop in City

Chandigarh 31st Jan, 2019:- A first for tricity & region dance extravaganza - ‘Dance with Melvin Louis’ will take place in city. The dance workshop will be conducted by one of India's most popular names in choreography - Melvin Louis, who is  currently ruling the roost in the Bollywood and the national choreography scene, with his unique dance style. A press meet to share details of the dance event by the young & dynamic organizers who are bringing the dance sensation to Chandigarh was held. The press meet also saw unveiling of 'Art of Dance Studio' under who's aegis Melvin Louis is coming to Chandigarh.
Dipesh Sekhri, Director, Art of Dance Studio & Co Founder Art of Dance Studio, said that 'Dance with Melvin Louis' will be North India’s biggest dance workshop and will be held on 9th and 10th Feb, 2019.(Saturday-Sunday), from 4:30 - 7:30 pm in the Gymnasium Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He sharted further that 1000  participants from different states of North India like Punjab, Haryana , Himachal and tricity are expected to learn finer nuances of dance and the exciting steps of Melvin  on songs like 'Lamborghini', 'Aankh mare' etc which Melvin has so masterfully choreographed. Short Flm "Bachi Balakiya" is Based on True Stories

Chandigarh 31st Jan, 2019:- Why drugs are not ending in Punjab? What is the reason youth of today is not able to get away from drugs? Punjabi film "Bachi Balakiya" is a short film based on a true story which deals with problem of drugs in Punjab. The film shows how a child is taken into addiction and till adulthood, he takes himself and his family towards destruction due to his addiction. This film shows the life of resident of Punjab Gurujivan Singh, aka "Bachi Balakiya".
Baljeet Singh has played the main character of "Bachi Balakiya". The movie is made by U.S.A. Punjabi Production and City Entertainment. This short film is Directed & written by Harsimran Singh, co-directed by Anjali Sharma and artist direction is done by Neetu Sharma. Music of the film is given by Jaskirat Singh.
During the press conference held in Press Club Chandigarh on Wednesday, the film director said that the audience will be able to see the second part of the film soon which will showcase how even after leaving the drugs; society doesn't let the person survive. The rejection from society makes the addict more vulnerable to mental problems & depression.
Artist Gaurav Sharma said that the film was shot in Chandigarh, Mohali, Kharar. 30 artists have given performance in the film. The total duration of this film is 1 hour. This film is getting released on January 30.


`Mansukh Chaturvedi Ki Atmakatha’ to Also be Remade into Tamil and Telugu

Chandigarh 31st Jan, 2019:- Indian film maker and writer Sachin Gupta, better known for his critically acclaimed Paranthe Wali Gali, Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq and Pakhi, shall soon be entering the arena of Punjabi movies. His first Punjabi offering would be the remake of Mansukh Chaturvedi Ki Atmakatha. The remake rights of Mansukh Chaturvedi Ki Atmakatha have already been bought by London Players.
In order to find the right talent for this movie, Sachin Gupta would soon be organising auditions for various roles in the major cities of Punjab and Chandigarh.
The theatrical release of Mansukh Chaturvedi Ki Atmakatha was held on January 26, 2019. The movie revolves around the mad story of Mansukh Chaturvedi a small town boy's dreams to be the superstar of the Silver screen and star of all hearts. And, a struggle of two people -- his father and Munia, to bring him back to the right path of the real world and reform his uselessness.
The story, screenplay and dialogues along with direction of Mansukh Chaturvedi Ki Atmakatha was all carried out by Sachin Gupta. The cast included Sandeep Singh, Shalini Chauhan, Sikandar Khan and Monica Meena.


Poster and Ticket Launching for Sparkles 2k19- A Mega Charity Event

Chandigarh 31st Jan, 2019:- Navsankalp Association launch its Poster and ticket for Sparkles 2k19-, A Mega Charity Event in association with Municipal Corporation this year under the theme “Swach Bharat , Swasth Bharat”, going to take place at Leisure valley from 4PM onwards on 8th of February, 2019.
The renowned Punjabi singers Jassi Gill and Babbal Rai  will be performing Live at Sparkles 2k19 accompanied by  ‘The Musical Eyes’ performance by Specially abled children from Vatika school, NavSankalp Dance Drama by Mrigya Samyal, Thematic Fashion Show and other Cultural Events.
The Poster launching was done by Maheshinder Singh Sidhu was also present at the occasion.
Navsankalp association is a student run organization based in tri-city (Chandigarh), which makes judicious donations to the patients admitted in PGIMER and GMSH-16. Till date Navsankalp has contributed 63 lacks and has saved 165 lives.
