Rahul(Shah Rukh Khan), a 40 year old bachelor, embarks on a journey to a small town in Tamil Nadu to fulfil his grandfather’s last wish. He has to immerse his grandfather’s ashes in the holy water of Rameshwaram. Enroute, he meets Meena(DeepikaPadukone) hailing from the South. As they' find love through this journey, some goons chase them giving rise to a series of chaotic hide-and-seek games. What could have been a mundane journey turns adventurous for Rahul and Meena.

Song ‘Wah Oye Rabba’ from Upcoming Punjabi Film ‘25 Kille’ is Pollywood’s Shot in a Single Take

Chandigarh 06th August:- The song ‘Wah Oye Rabba’ from the upcoming Punjabi Film ‘25 Kille’ is Pollywood’s first ever song that has been shot in a single take. This two hour long shoot, done at a stretch involved a lot of hard work, rehearsal and most importantly coordination from the entire team of the film to create such a remarkable record.
The music of this song is given by the famous Music Director Jaidev Kumar and is sung by Feroz Khan, Inderjit Nikku and Surinder Shinda. This song is directed by Simranjit Singh Hundal and choreographed by Mehul. Ranjha Vikram, Guggu Gill, Jimmy Sharma and Lakhwinder Lakha will be featured in this single shot song.
Ranjha Vikram said that his was really an amazing experience for him, hearing Action….cut….from director and in a single take the song was shot. This wouldn’t have been possible without the coordination of the team. It was not an easy task to shoot in night, the entire set up was done in Panjoli Pind which is beautiful.  He added that though they rehearsed a day before but the entire shoot was done in two hours. They started at around 7pm in the evening and were done around 9 pm, but this is one of the most wonderful experiences for all of us. The song shows the tremendous chemistry between the four brothers who all are celebrating a joyful moment.  He is very hopeful that the audience will accept the hard work put in by all the team members for making this song ‘Wah Oye Rabba’ amazing.
The film ‘25 Kille’ has been produced by Amanpreet Singh Sodhi, Vikram Singh and Shirin Morani Singh and is releasing on the 25th of August.



Music Track of “Tootan Wale Khooh” Released

Chandigarh 06th August:- A new startup Kruzik Studios by a young Aman Gurmit Singh, launched its first music video here today. Sung by local artist Lalit Sharma with rap performed by Ashu Pandit and Himanshu Parcha. Aman Gurmit Singh said that the song, “Tootan Wale Khooh” celebrates the good times one has with ones buddies forgetting all your worries of the mundane life. He further said that the music video has been launched online on YouTube and soon would be available on music channels. Balwinder Singh Kumbra of Mohali, along with Prem Singh Gurdaspuria of AAP blessed the new venture.
Aman Gurmit Singh said that Punjabi entertainment industry needs new talent and Kruziik Studio would be providing that platform to encourage creativity in the region.

GMSSS Karsan Starts Preparation for the Celebration of Independence Day

The rehearsal of the preparation demonstrated variety of cultural events. Student’s full of patriotic songs and music charmed everyone present. Pageantry was organized under the supervision of teachers. Infants introduced in various amazing roles. Special features of the program are Bhangra, Giddha and Dandia etc.

J P Nadda Confers Degrees to the Students NINE on its First Convocation

Chandigarh 06th August:- While congratulating the new degree holders, faculty and Principal of National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE)  J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare praised the nurses for winning various national and international awards like Florence Nightingale Award, the Best Educationist Award and the Glory of India Award.  
J P Nadda said that the responsibility for successful achievement of the goal of healthy society lies not only with the concerned policy makers and doctors but also with the largest workforce of the health system-the nurses.  While enumerating the qualities of a good qualified nurse he said that a nurse must be equipped with the habit of observation, punctuality, obedience, cleanliness, sense of proportion, and capacity for effective therapeutic communication. She must possess compassion and positive attitude towards caring. PGI’ Nursing teachers have given you these qualities and habits.
J P Nadda also informed the audience about the recent initiatives undertaken for strengthening of nursing cadre which are: Establishment of new ANM and GNM Schools; Up gradation of institutions from School of Nursing to College of Nursing; Revision of curriculum for all nursing programs, New ‘Nurse Practitioner courses’; Nurses registration Tracking System (Live Register) and the proposed ‘Nursing Practice Act’ which will empower nurses and more reforms can be done in Nursing regulation.






Earlier Prof. Yogesh Chawla, Director PGI welcomed the Chief Guest and informed the audience about the progress PGI has made in the last three years on technological and research fronts. While talking about telemedicine in the Institute he said, “The tele-link with other Institutes and district hospitals helps us in transmitting our education programmes especially our CPCs and give consultations to doctors treating patients. 
The Institute has many state-of-the-art facilities for patient care which are comparable to the best medical Institutes of the world. Our transplant program has taken a giant leap in recent years. Eye (300), Renal (250), Bone Marrow (30) and liver transplants (6) are well established. Last year PGI conducted 2 Heart transplants and this year 7 combined Pancreas Kidney Transplant, which is largest in the country. Many families have generously donated organs of their deceased loved ones so much so that PGI has the largest organ donations in a public sector hospital anywhere in the country. We have also been able to introduce the organ donations pledge in Driving License in Chandigarh. With public support the number of voluntary eye donations has increased from 266 in 2013 to 514 in 2015.  Regional Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization (ROTTO) Centre at PGI would further strengthen the organ donation.
The Institute recently procured several hi-tech equipments for enhancing patient care to keep ourselves abreast with best in the world. These include the state-of-the-art da Vinci HD system for Robot assisted laparoscopic operations; offering minimally invasive treatment for kidney, urinary bladder and prostate cancers. The robotic surgery facility is now extended to ENT and gynecological surgeries as well. We also acquired Irreversible Electroporation, a device which helps in treating inoperable tumors of the pancreas, liver and retroperitoneal lesions. This is the first of its kind in the country for which we get referrals from Delhi, Bombay and many other parts of India.  
Today we have added many more facilities in our list by inaugurating the Sleep Lab in ENT, first in North India in a surgical set up, Child Friendly MRI first in the country and Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery also known as Robotic Cataract Surgery with computer controlled precision to automate the most difficult steps of cataract procedure.  It has advanced diagnostic systems as well again first of its kind in India.   A new facility called Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), a non-invasive brain stimulation technique used in the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder and depression has also been started at our Institute.  The Institute has also acquired Cone Beam Computed Tomography for 3 dimensional imaging of head and neck region, with one-tenth the radiation dose and half the cost of conventional CT.
While informing the guests about the history and achievements of Nursing Institute of Nursing Education Dr Sandhya Ghai, Principal of the Institute said that the institute conducts B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) course with 93 seats, B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) 62 seats & M.Sc. Nursing 31 seats in five specialties i.e. Mental Health Nursing, Obstetric. & Gyane., Pediatrics Nursing, community Health Nursing, Med. Surg. Nursing and further sub specialties in cardio-thoracic, Critical Care, Neurology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology and oncology Nursing.
At present, there are over 500 students pursuing the undergraduate & Post Graduate nursing courses and Ph.D. Till 2015, 354 Post graduate, and 3105 graduates have passed out from this Institute since its inception.
The Chief Guest honoured eight silver and eight bronze medalists. More than five hundred students were awarded degrees. 
Amongst the distinguished guests present were Kirron Kher, Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Chandigarh, Prof Arun Grover, Vice Chancellor of Panjab University,  former Directors, Deans and faculty of the Institute.



GGSCW Celebrates Teej Festival with Great Fervor

Chandigarh 06th August:- The  Teej  festival  was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 Chandigarh on August 06, 2016.
The gala event included Miss Teej competition followed by Mehandi, Phulkari Design Competition and Parandi tying competition. Bhav Shabad student of BA Final year declared Miss Teej, Sheetal students of MSc. IT declared as Sunakhi Mutiyar, Namanpreet Kaur declared Best Giddha Contestant whereas Jaswant Kaur declared as a Best Boli Contestant.
 The swing ropes in the college ground were decorated with flowers and students danced to the tunes of Punjabi Music. Traditional delicacies like Kheer Poora were also served to add to the feel of this wonderful occasion. The girls thronged around bangles’ stall in excitement.
The Principal, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur Sohi was given a graceful welcome in a traditional style by college students. She added dazzle to the celebration with her active participation.



MCM Signs MoU with Jonjua Overseas Private Limited

Chandigarh 06th August:- MCM DAV College for Women signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jonjua Overseas Private Limited with the objective of establishing a synergistic collaboration between industry and academia.
An endeavor of the Office Management Department of the college, the MoU will provide support for industry experience in line with course curriculum to MCM students, including internship for hands-on experience, periodic field visits for practical exposure and sharing of knowledge through interactive sessions. Laying stress on ‘Earn while you learn’, the MoU will pave way for students to execute projects and earn incentives while continuing to engage in earning at MCM.
MCM Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava congratulated the Office Management Department for this initiative of bridging industry-academia gap by providing a platform that will ultimately benefit all the stakeholders concerned


Sri Aurobindo School organizes Inter House Sports Activity
