Rumman Ahmed Visits Chandigarh to Promote ZEE TV’s New Show Seth Ji

By Tricitynews Reporter
Chandigarh 10th April:- While Indian society underwent several tangible and intangible changes amidst its economic transformation, there were some who chose not to forget their roots and stuck to their culture, values and traditions. Premiering on 17th April, from Monday to Friday at 7 PM, ZEE TV’s next primetime offering ‘Seth Ji’ brings to you an intriguing story of a unique ram-rajya village–Devsu that runs on its own set of rules and principles. Detached from the rest of the world, Devsu considers its borders sacred and is far away from corruption, temptation and dishonesty. As we move swiftly towards a modern and digitalized India, there exists a Devsu that is devoid of even basic signs of urban development like concrete roads, cars, electricity, comfort utilities, ATMs or mobile networks and yet is a happy, self-sufficient world.  The show raises a question can the ‘aadarshon waala Bharat’ and the ‘Pragati wala India’ take cues from each other, match each other step-for-step and walk towards a Utopian state that combines the best of both worlds?
Safeguarding Devsu’s interests, watching over its people and every development like a hawk is its strong matriarch, Seth Ji. While giving technological advancement a cold shoulder, Devsu still manages to offer old-world solutions to every conceivable need of its inhabitants. Devsu draws its rooted yet progressive personality from its feisty, 38-year-old leader, Seth Ji, a woman of substance. A perfect blend of autocratic power and sensitivity, Seth Ji rules Devsu with an iron hand and at the same time, is devoted to her equally important roles of being a loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Her command is the final word in Devsu. Against the backdrop of this unique village, a beautiful, unlikely love story will develop between Seth Ji’s son Baaji Rao, a simpleton who has never seen anything beyond the borders of his village and Pragati, a fearless modern girl from across the border who has never seen anything like Devsu. To see how Baaji Rao, who emulates the principles of the traditionalist Seth Ji, falls in love with the urban, rebel Pragati and what lies in store for them, stay tuned to Seth Ji on Zee TV.
Produced by Offshore Productions, the show will see the return of the talented Gurdeep Kohli on Indian television in the title role of Seth Ji. She is the custodian of Devsu’s customs, practices and laws. People look up to her sense of justice as she doesn’t even stop short of punishing her own family. Debutant Avinash Kumar will play the young, emotional and innocent Bajirao, the son of Seth Ji. He falls in love with a city girl named Pragati, played by the pretty Rumman Ahmed.
Promoting the show in Chandigarh, Rumman Ahmed who will play the role of Pragati shared that during the past few decades, technology has become an integral part of our society and we live in a modern, digitalized India. When she heard the concept of Seth Ji, she immediately fell in love with the story and was intrigued that how in a century governed by technology; there exists a village which is completely untouched by it. She is excited to play the role of Pragati. She is a beautiful, independent, modern day girl who is progressive in her thoughts and a strong advocate of evolution in the form of technology and digitalization. Like any young person from the 21st century, she has not only embraced technology but belongs to a generation that have never lived or imagined a life without it. It will be interesting to see what will transpire when she comes across Seth Ji who is a strong woman who believes in the ways of the past, is a staunch traditionalist and detests change. She is looking forward to bringing this interesting show to the audiences and she is excited that the show she feels so passionately about is being promoted in Chandigarh, a city that she have much love and affinity for.

Uncontrolled Diabetes Can Lead to Limb Threatening Complications; Experts

By Tricitynews Reporter
Chandigarh 10th April:- Worldwide every second, a lower limb is lost due to untreated diabetes. In India around 1-lakh amputations occur every year due to diabetes related disorders. Out of the 62-million diabetics in the country, 25% develop sores, ulcers and life-threatening infections on their feet at some point during their lifetime. Eminent specialists & Director-Endocrinology, Dr. SK Mathur, and Plastic Surgeon, Dr Rishi Dhawan stated this while addressing a press conference at Press Club here today to announce launch of a Comprehensive Foot Care Clinic at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Mohali.
Sandeep Dogra, Senior Vice President and Zonal Head-Max Hospitals said that foot infection is the most common reason for hospitalization among diabetic patients, accounting for up to 25 % of admissions. It has been estimated that with awareness of risk factors and treatment by a multi - disciplinary team, up to 85 % of foot and leg amputations in diabetic patients can be prevented. The launch of the Podiatry (Foot Care) Clinic is a step in this direction to be able to detect these life threatening complications at the right time.
The clinic under the supervision of Dr. SK Mathur and Dr Rishi Dhawan will see an amalgamation of experience, knowledge and expertise of specialists who will discuss, deliberate and debate on diagnostics and therapeutic developments in diabetic foot management.

Dr SK Mathur said that diabetes can cause nerve damage which is also called peripheral neuropathy that reduces sensation in your feet. If you have neuropathy, you can have an injury or condition on your foot that requires medical care without even knowing it. Small injuries may become infected. Diabetes may also affect blood flow in your legs and feet, making it harder for cuts or sores to heal.
A small infection can become very serious. Foot ulcers and non-healing wounds are the primary causes of amputation in people with diabetes. If treated on time, the patients can be saved from prolonged hospitalization, rehabilitation and more importantly, limb amputations.
Talking about symptoms, Dr Rishi Dhawan said that as a result of decreased blood flow to the foot, patient can feel pain in the feet while lying and relief of pain with foot hanging by the side of the bed, gangrene or blackening of toes or foot ulceration and swollen ankle or foot.
