Bunge India & Distributors Association Launch Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Nabha

Nabha 06th December:- Taking ahead the legacy and responding to the Nation’s call, Wholesale & Retail Kiryana Traders of Bhawra Bazar Nabha along with Nabha Consumer Products Distributors Association carried out massive cleanliness drive at Bhawra Bazar area of Nabha. The initiative was wholeheartedly supported by Bunge India, manufacturers of Gagan Refined Oils and Gagan Vanaspati Ghee. The cleanliness drive under the banner, ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan' began at 8:00 am, as enthusiastic group members hand-picked waste, bottles, plastic, pieces of broken glass etc to clear the area. The group included Upendra Ojha (General Manager, Bunge India), Dr Prashant Mohan (Marketing Head, Bunge India), Keerti Aggarwal ( Regional Manager ) Rohit Kapoor (Area Sales Head, Bunge India) & Sales Team members across Punjab, Baldev Krishan from M/s Pooja Trading Corp. & Amit Goyal from Goyal Trading Company Distributors for Bunge India here at Nabha & members of the of the Nabha Consumer Products Distributors Association, headed by Chairman Kedarnath, Vice President Sunil Kumar, Secretary Ramesh Kumar, Cashier Jawahar Lal & Rakesh Kumar & other prominent & Senior functionaries. The local shopkeepers also enthusiastically participated in this campaign which lasted for about two hours and vowed to keep their respective areas clean.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Prashant Mohan, Marketing Head, Bunge India said that the company has been organizing such initiatives under its CSR program and Grain Market / Wholesale Market areas have already been covered at places like Chandigarh, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Bhatinda, Nawanshar, Rajpura, Rohtak, Hissar, Karnal, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Ambala City & Ambala Cantt .
Upendra Ojha General Manager Bunge India said that in future too Bunge India will continue to associate with various market associations in the cities to do similar activities. He added that the Clean India campaign is inspired by our patriotism & everyone should ensure  to participate, if each of us in our own conduct, include hygiene, then only a city, but also the district, state, country will be easy to clean.
More than 100 people participated in the drive. Members of the association took the pledge to keep Market area clean and green; more than 20 carts of garbage were disposed off. It was decided to carry out sanitation surveys from time to time. A Panel Discussion on Environment and Swachhata March / Rally and a plethora of co-curricular activities were organized to mark the occasion. Many key decisions were taken to keep this mission going in order to give market a complete clean look and make it a habit. 

Adviser Opens 3 Days Chrysanthemums Show

Chandigarh 06th December:- The City Beautiful known as "City of Flowers” is witnessing the beautiful Chrysanthemum Show at Terraced Garden, Sector 33. The flower show was today inaugurated by Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh in presence of Rajesh Kumar, Mayor, K.K. Yadav, Commissioner, Rajesh Gupta, area councilor, Shailender Singh, Chief Engineer, K.P. Singh, S.E. (Horticulture) other senior officers of MCC. The show would be open till December 8 and is being organized by the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.
On the occasion, Chief Guest released a brochure dedicated to the show. He then went around the Garden alongwith Mayor, Commissioner, councilors and senior officers of MCC to see the various flowers exhibited there with different permutations and combinations.
While addressing the gathering, the Adviser said that flowers are like friends in our lives. The friends create our life colorful and the flowers create the Nature colorful. He said that by organizing such type of flower shows is unique service to the public of city by the MCC.
He said that flower is associated with us from the beginning of life to end of life in many forms & ways and we have to celebrate the bloom of flowers in each season. Flower gives us the strength to lead your life in any condition and situation every time blooming. He said the flowers grow on their own ways, they don’t compete with each other and spread different fragrance to the visitors.
The Chief Guest applauded the efforts of the officials of Municipal Corporation for organizing such a beautiful show. He also distributed sweets to the labourers and gardeners of Corporation on the occasion. He said that Chandigarh is world-wide known for its beautiful and magnificent gardens supplemented by green patches and flowering trees. He said that the Municipal Corporation is organizing admirable programmes for people of Chandigarh alongwith providing basic aminities and developmental works in the city.
After taking round of the park, the chief guest and others laid flower petals at the Martyr’s Pillar in Terraced Garden sector 33 Chandigarh.
While addressing that gathering, the Mayor appreciated the dedication of gardeners of Municipal Corporation to grow such beautiful flowers. He said that because of the gardeners we enjoy the beauty of flower every year in this show. He said that the Municipal Corporation organizes the Chrysanthemum show every year at Terreced Garden Chandigarh.
The Commissioner said that last year this show witnessed over 268 varieties of Chrysanthemum, this year 269 varieties of Chrysanthemum are being displayed. All these varieties are grown and well groomed at MC nursery. He said that in this show, various govt./semi govt. institutions and various private growers took part in competitions of flowers grown in pots. Prizes will be given to the winners of best three exhibits in each category.
Gardeners of Horticulture Department, MCC in the show have made boat, camel, peacock, cow, giraffe, lion and many other animals and birds using flowers. Total 269 varieties of Chrysanthemum have been displayed in the show. The beautiful displays of the Chrysanthemum in the Show have helped Chandigarh in acquiring international fame.
A cultural programme was also organized by the students of Gurukul Global School, Sector 20, Panchkula.

प्रियंका के दोषियों के एनकाउंटर पर महिला मोर्चा ने धन्यवाद व्यक्त किया

Chandigarh 06th December:- चंडीगढ़ महिला मोर्चा नेता रुबी गुप्ता के नेतृत्व में महिलाओं ने हैदराबाद में प्रियंका की रेप हत्या के दोषियों का हैदराबाद पुलिस द्वारा एनकाउंटर करने पर पुलिस का धन्यवाद एवं खुशी व्यक्त की गई। सैकड़ों महिलाओं ने "हैदराबाद पुलिस जिंदाबाद" "प्रियंका रेडी जिंदाबाद" के नारे लगाकर महिलाओं को पूर्ण रूप से सुरक्षा प्रदान करने एवं भविष्य में आरोपियों को तुरंत सजा का प्रावधान एवं अपेक्स कोर्ट द्वारा दोषियों को तुरंत सजा देने का अनुरोध किया गया।
महिला मोर्चा नेता रुबी गुप्ता ने अपने वक्तव्य में कहा कि हैदराबाद एनकाउंटर कि हम भरपूर प्रशंसा करते हैं ।हम भारत की न्याय प्रणाली का सम्मान करते हैं, लेकिन जन भावनाओं को दबाकर अधिक देर तक नहीं रखा जा सकता। समाज विरोधी तत्वों को मनोवैज्ञानिक संदेश देने के लिए हैदराबाद पुलिस का एक्शन समय अनुसार न्यायोचित है। दोषियों को वर्षों तक जेल में मेहमान बन कर रखना यह प्रणाली अपराध को बढ़ावा दे रही है। कार्यक्रम में भाजपा महिला मोर्चा रुबी गुप्ता ,आशा शर्मा ,मीरा पासवान, विमला ,अनीता ,दीपा ,कंगना ,कुसुम ,गीता परमजीत ,भानुप्रिया .सोनमनिशा .अनु .अंजू आदि महिला नेताओं ने पुलिस कार्रवाई की खुशी व्यक्त कर तेलंगाना सरकार का आभार व्यक्त किया।

Tata Steel Announces the Winners of Steel-a-thon-2019

Chandigarh 06th December:- The 6th edition of Tata Steel’s annual business challenge for students ‘Steel-a-thon’ saw a record number of participants with teams from MICA and FMS Delhi emerging as the winner and first runner-up, respectively. The second runner-up position was held jointly by IIM Shillong and IIM Raipur.
Steel-a-thon 2019 witnessed a record participation with more than 1400 teams comprising 4200+ students from 22 premier B-Schools across the country submitting their entries. In the grand finale in Kolkata, a total of 15 teams competed. In the 2018 edition of Steel-a-thon, students from 19 business schools had participated.
Steel-a-thon is Tata Steel’s Annual Business Challenge for premier B-Schools of India where students submit their innovative solutions on real life business cases. This year, the competition witnessed the highest-ever number of responses with the participants presenting solutions to case studies from domains including Marketing & Sales, Corporate & Digital Strategy, CSR, HRM and Supply Chain.
The teams presented business case solutions to a jury comprising senior management of Tata Steel led by Peeyush Gupta, Vice President, Steel (Marketing & Sales), Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President, HRM, and Ms. Atrayee S Sanyal, Chief Diversity officer, Chief Group HR and Chief HRM (Steel).
The champion team won a cash prize of Rs 2,50,000, winners’ trophy and a certificate. The first and second runners-up were awarded cash prizes of Rs 1,50,000 and Rs 1,00,000, respectively, along with trophy and certificates. These teams along with the campus round winners also received PPI offers.
Congratulating the winners and all the participants, Peeyush Gupta, Vice President, Steel (Marketing & Sales), Tata Steel, appealed to the bright young minds to be curious and make the right choices about their careers. He said that curiosity is an important element in today’s business. We must know how things happen in companies, how revenue gets generated, what can you as a manager do to serve a company, serve its customers, how does the value chain work and, finally, deliver something to the customer.
The participants of Steel-a-thon benefit from the mentorship provided by the senior management of Tata Steel which exemplifies the focus on quality and attention to details. The platform intends to groom the budding leaders for real-life business challenges through application of their classroom knowledge on the practical front.
Since the first edition of Steel-a-thon held in 2014, a total of around 40 students have joined the Tata Steel family as employees. The 2019 edition of Steel-a-thon is also a significant milestone in the Company’s steady march towards being an employer of choice and creating a sustainable future for all its stakeholders.
The overarching theme for Steel-a-thon 2019 was about enabling future readiness, redefining possibilities and creating a platform that seeks to make role models, future leaders and makers of tomorrow by application of passion and business acumen.
