Generation Saviour Association organizes 22nd Inter-School Painting Competition

Chandigarh 17th April:- Generation Saviour Association, an NGO working in area of public health conducted an Inter School drawing competition to mark its two month long celebration of World No Tobacco Day.    Over 600 students from different schools of tri-city participated in this event.  The participants were educated about the ill effects of tobacco particularly cigarettes by the President of the organization Ms Opinder Preet Kaur.
Dr Rita Bhardwaj, Civil Surgeon, Mohali felicitated the students for their skills and said that every year 5500 children initiative the use of tobacco in India. Competitions like these are a wonderful step towards saving the future generations from the scourge of tobacco abuse.
Harish Kumari, Principal Khalsa College encouraged the students and said that each student should be given sufficient opportunity to grow in life.
Surjeet Kaur, Vice President of the organization said that every child is an artist. The role of parents and teachers is to nurture their talent so that they can make a difference to the world when they grow up.
Director Operations, Manpreet Kaur added that this competition shall increase awareness level of students about the harmful effects of tobacco on health.


1st PGC Junior Series Golf Tournament on April 23

Chandigarh 17th April:- The 1st Panchkula Golf Club Junior Series Golf Tournament will be conducted at the Panchkula Golf Club on 23rd April, Tuesday. This tournament will be a Gun-Shot start with a maximum of 100 participants out of which 72 players will be from category A (under 18), category B (under 15), category C (under 13), and category D (under 11). The balance 28 entries will be from category E and category F for which a putting competition will be conducted. Each of the 100 participants will be given a PGC memento of participation.
General Manager of PGC, Col. A.S. Dhillon said that we aim to provide tournament, rules & etiquette exposure to proficient junior golfers as well as those who have recently learnt or are currently learning golf”. There will be prizes for boys and girls in each of the 6 categories. Children from all over the Tricity and Punjab are welcome to enroll in this tournament which will start at 7am and prize distribution ceremony to be conducted at 12:30. Those who wish to participate may give their names to the starter at Panchkula Golf Club 8360013351. A number of Junior Golf Camps are also planned at Panchkula Golf Club in the summer vacations to introduce new children to Golf.


Cooking Competition Between the Cast of Patiala Babes

The show is knit around women empowerment, where a daughter is seen supporting her mother. She inspires her mother to follow her dreams and because of this distinctive concept, the show has been able to attract audiences from all over the country.
With the upcoming track on the show, Babita finds her new calling in starting a Dabba service and this in a way has become a good reason for the cast of the show to add variety in their food. Everyone on the sets is so excited that they have started cooking and experimenting new dishes daily. From Aniruddh Dave to Paridhi Sharma, the actors are coming out of their closet and exhibiting their hidden talent. There is a treat on the sets of the show where different cuisine is being called in daily to calm the taste buds of the cast. The cast and the crew are sure to get a tasty treat hereon.
When contacted Ashnoor, she reveals her excitement about the current track and to help Paridhi with the Punjabi dishes. Talking on that she said that she is very close to everyone on the sets and we also tend to have similar taste in food. These days the first thing that we discuss each morning is about the dishes we have brought in our dabbas and exchange the recipes. At the moment there is an internal dabba-competition running on the sets of Patiala Babes where everyone is coming up with new and innovative dish daily.

The fun filled Fancy dress competition brings in some more happiness for the Gokhale Family as Amol (Khanjan Thumbar) wins. Not only is he delighted about winning but truly feels proud about doing something for his kids. Happy moments also favour the Thakkar family with the inauguration of Gayatri snacks and Sweets. With the launch, Anna (Deven Bhojani) proves his friendship by claiming to feed Bhakharwadi to the first customer of Mahendra’s shop, with his own hands and surprisingly, it turns out to be his daughter, Vibha (Rasika Vengurlekar). On the other hand, Mahendra is worried with no customers coming to his shop and shopping at Gokhale Bandhu instead.
Paresh Ganatra, playing the role of Mahendra Thakkar said that Mahendra is very excited for the opening of his shop and is happy seeing Anna supporting him for the same. However, after a few days, he still notices all the customers going to Anna’s shop instead of coming to his. It will be interesting for the viewers to see how this affects their relationship going forward.
