Chandigarh, Oct.13, 2021:- ETS announced today its newest and final addition to the TOEFL iBT         ® test portfolio, TOEFL iBT         ® Paper Edition. Test takers in India can now register for the paper-based test, which begins administrations on Saturday, December 11. TOEFL iBT® Paper Edition is available in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Moga.

TOEFL iBT Paper Edition is the same 4-skills TOEFL iBT test, just delivered in a different format over two sessions. In the first session, test takers will take the Reading, Listening and Writing sections on paper at an ETS-authorized test centre, followed by the Speaking section in a separate, second session from the comfort of home, with an online human proctor, within three days. Adding this option to the portfolio caters to test takers’ unique testing preferences, especially given that many prefer, and are most comfortable with, a paper-based testing option.

With the addition of TOEFL iBT Paper Edition, TOEFL® offers the most robust portfolio of English-proficiency testing options to students and institutions worldwide for study, work and immigration. The paper-based test option joins the traditional computer-based TOEFL iBT test offered in test centres, as well as TOEFL iBT        ® Home Edition, the identical at-home version of the gold standard assessment.

In addition to the TOEFL iBT portfolio of tests, TOEFL also offers the high quality, student friendly TOEFL® Essentials™ test, which launched earlier this year and began administrations in August 2021.

Adviser Inaugurates Digital Library

Chandigarh, Oct.13, 2021:- Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) inaugurated the Sixth Digital Library in the demanding area i.e. Government Model Senior Secondary School, DMC, Sector 38 West Chandigarh by Dharam Pal, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh along with Sarpreet Singh Gill, Secretary Education, Chandigarh Administration. They were Chief Guest and Guest of Honour of this occasion. 

In the ceremony, Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, CCPCR welcomed the guests and the participants. Reema Dewan, Principal, Delhi Public Schools briefed the digital sharing as a partner program. 

While speaking on the occasion, Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator appreciated the efforts of the Commission of reaching the most venerable and needed area with the Digital libraries to meet the need of Digital India.  

The setting up of this Digital Library in government schools of Chandigarh is part of ‘Digital India’ – a dream project of our Hon’ble Prime Minister. Opening up of a Digital Library in a remote area such as Daddu Majra Colony is nothing less than a blessing for students. This will enable the students to have access to number of books through internet. It will open up a world of knowledge for students and will also help in inculcating the habit of reading among them.  To enable this situation, Child Right library Corner was also set up by the commission, which included five computers with latest technology and a Projector with screen.
