Teachers Day: Education Ministers Honours 40 Teachers With State Awards

Chandigarh 05th September:- The Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary today honored 40 teachers with the 'State Awards' on the eve of 'Teachers Day'. In the award function held at the auditorium of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the Education Minister also conferred commendation certificates on 5 teachers besides honoring National award winning 9 teachers of 2016 and heads of 39 schools winning Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar. The state award winning 40 teachers were given Rs. 25000 prize money, a shawl and a medal. These teachers would also get one year extension in service. The other teachers and school heads were awarded certificates.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Aruna Chaudhary congratulated the entire teaching community especially the State as well as National award winners on the behalf of the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh on the occasion of teacher’s day.
Remembering the second President of the country Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan on the occasion, the minister said that Dr. Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher and a brilliant teacher who had deep respect for teachers as well as his students. She exhorted all to take inspiration from the life of Dr. Radhakrishnan. Lauding the teaching community, the minister said that the contribution of a teacher towards the society cannot be forgotten because a teacher renders yeoman's service in building a vibrant and healthy society. The minister further added that the Punjab Government is committed to implement the teacher friendly decisions and the department is formulating plans to give maximum facilities to the teachers.
The minister also divulged that while many historical decisions have been taken, an online portal concerning leave to be availed by the teachers would be started soon which would prove helpful to the teachers in seeking permission for leave while sitting at home itself. The minister while congratulating the award winning teachers encouraged those unsuccessful to work even harder for next year.
Earlier, the Secretary, Education Department, Krishan Kumar in his address listed many game changing steps promulgated by the department under the guidance of the Education Minister. He said that a decision has been arrived at to settle ACP cases of the teachers at the DDO level and apart from this the letter pertaining to clearance of probation period would now be issued at the lower level. A decision has been taken to conduct Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) twice a year to meet the shortfall in the recruitment of teachers. He also said that a more transparent mechanism would be evolved very soon regarding state awards on teachers day following which no teacher would need to apply personally for the award.
In the beginning of the function, the Education Minister initiated the proceedings by lighting a lamp. The DPI (Secondary Education) Mr. Paramjit Singh welcomed the chief guest, other dignitaries and the teachers whereas the Director General School Education Prashant Kumar Goyal thanked the gathering. On the occasion, head mistress Rupinder Kaur Grewal conducted the proceedings of the stage in a very efficient manner. She was also honoured specially by the Education Minister.
On the occasion, a girl student presented 'Jugni' while the students of the Government Senior Secondary School Machhli Kalan presented 'Qawwali' in a soulful manner. The girl students of the Government Senior Secondary School Sahauran performed shabad gayan and rendered National Anthem beautifully in the end. These very girl students welcomed the guests and the awardee teachers with the melodious tunes of the band and the scouts and guides students of the same school presented Guard of Honour to the dignitaries.
Among others present on the occasion also included Joint Secretary , Education Department, Tejinder Pal Singh Sandhu, DPI (Elementary Education) Inderjit Singh, Director SCERT Sukhdev Singh Kahlon, Assistant Director Dr. Gurjit Singh and all the officers stationed at the headquarters of the department.


Ananth Mahadevan Makes Comeback on Indian Television with Sony SAB’s ‘Aadat Se Majboor’

Chandigarh 05th September:- Sony SAB is all set to launch a new office comedy called ‘Aadat Se Majboor’. The show is set in the backdrop of a publishing house and how five fresher’s Sunny, JD, Ranjan, Riya and Sam come together under one roof where they go through various hilarious circumstances in their first job. The show will witness a comeback of Veteran actor, Director and Writer Ananth Mahadevan.
Ananth who is back to acting on television after two decades will essay the role of a boss who manages a publishing house of a magazine called ‘City Chakkar’. His character is edgy who tries to do multiple tasks at one time but fails to finish even a single task. He loves to keep his employees on toes. Ananth’s will also be seen as Riya’s uncle, who has joined the company as a feature writer. He always favors Rhea as she is his niece and also the owner of the company.
Confirming the news Ananth said that Aadat Se Majboor fits the bill perfectly for him. Apart from the concept, what prompted him to say yes to this project was that he gets a flexibility of 15 days to work unlike others, who work 25 days a month. The producers and channel have faith in him that he can pull the role easily. Keeping up the expectation, he is working hard to tickle the funny bones of the audience.


VLCC Institute Announces Partnership with Capital Float

The loans can be re-paid through easy monthly installments of 3, 6 or 9 months. The minimum finance amount for the EMI is Rs. 15,000 and maximum is up to 3 lacs.

Bharti Foundation Launches ‘Satya Bharti School Song’

Chandigarh 05th September:- Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, today launched the Satya Bharti School Song in Kaithal(Haryana). The launch ceremony, coinciding with Teacher’s Day celebrations, was attended by Vijay Chadda, CEO, Bharti Foundation, Mamta Saikia, COO, Bharti Foundation and other key officials. The song’s launch in Kaithal marks the national release of the song across all 254 Satya Bharti Schools.
The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship initiative of Bharti Foundation. This rural education initiative provides quality education to underprivileged children, completely free of cost, with a special focus on the girl child. The program currently operates 249 primary/elementary schools and five senior secondary schools across six states (Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal) reaching out to 45,877studentsand employing 1,667 teachers from local communities. The brand’s range of product includes simple plug and play solutions for Retail segment (primarily household and small commercial establishments like shops/office) to high-end and sophisticated products and solutions for Enterprise, Corporate and Government Segment used in various projects.

Genius World School Celebrates Teachers Day

Zirakpur 05th September:- With this thought in mind, Genius World, Play School, Zirakpur  organized a special Assembly for their teachers. The Assembly started with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by a floral tribute to the greatest teacher of India Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
To thank the teaching faculty for the contributions they make to the lives, the students presented dances & songs, which were highly appreciated by the teachers and also gifted handmade greeting cards along with rose buds to their Gurus.
The teachers rocked the ramp. They also thrilled on the beats & shared their feelings with the students. On the occasion, a cake cutting ceremony was also conducted.
In her inspiring speech, School Director, Neetu Dandi encouraged the students to implement all values instilled in them, thus giving a true tribute to their mentors. She also appreciated the constant endeavors of the staff for bringing Genius World to such a great height. Further she added that the glory of the Guru cannot be written even if the whole earth is transformed into paper, big trees made into pens and the entire water in the seven oceans is transformed into writing ink.
The day came to an end with a sumptuous feast organized by the school management for the teachers.

The British School Celebrates Teachers' Day

Chandigarh 05th September:- The British School, Sec 44 held Teachers' Day celebration in the school campus.  The teachers participated in games like Thread Game - in which the teacher was to open a knot using one hand, they also took part in tongue twister game etc. Teachers also displayed their skills at mimicry, cat walk etc.
The games were followed by a poem on teachers recited by children of class II. There was also a singing performance by boys of classes XI and XII in which they played guitar and tabla.
The program had a bhangra performance on Punjabi songs prepared by the children, of classes XI and XI.
The program ended with the cake cutting ceremony and vote of thanks by the Principal Mrs Mona Sethi. The children prepared beautiful cards and felicitated all the teachers.

CRB School Celebrates Teachers Day

Chandigarh 05th September:- CRB Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day to thank the teaching faculty for the contributions they make to the lives of CR Bians. A number of poems songs and speech said by the students highlighted. The importance of teachers in their lives. To honour their teachers, the students left no stone unturned to entertain them. Anshul Mishra of Class Vth draped himself as Dr. Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan gave a motivational speech in which he highlighted the role of teachers in the lives of students as mentors and to make them good citizens of the country. They are the core educators who groom the mental development of any child. A group of class IV dancers presented a melodious dance reflecting their love for teachers.
In a speech, the principal, Mrs. Sangeeta Mittal said that the glory of the Guru cannot be written even if the whole earth is transformed into paper, Big trees into pens and the entire water of seven oceans into writing ik. This was followed by the lunch organized the management as a small token of appreciation for the teachers.
