Physical Impairment Can not Stop Your Journey

Chandigarh 06th July:- If you have the desire to do something else, then physical impairment cannot even stop you, proves by Vidisha Baliyan who won the title of Miss Deaf India  2019 & started a new journey of her life, with the support of  Wheeling Happiness Foundation & Marwah Studios. 
Today he is very pleased that Asian Academy of Film & Television University has prepared student  of AAFT University Vidisha for the Miss Deaf World 2019 festival to be held in South Africa, said Sandeep Marwah, who welcomed Vidisha to Marwah Studios & gave her best wishes.
Vidisha said that initially she had a lot of nervousness & even she has been an introverted student at school and she has reached this point with lots of struggle. She believe that any child can go ahead with their inability to make their strength, she wants to thank Raghav Marwah who has done my grooming &  shoot her beautiful video.
On this occasion, Deepa Malik International Para Athlete, Devika Malik Co-Founder Wheeling Happiness, Choreographer Sandeep Ahluwalia, Makeup Artist Sonia Dhingra, Lieutenant Rita Gangwani, Personality Development mentor & Sunaina Kashyap Soft Skill Trainer were present there.

Glaciers Will Melt Away in Next 30 Years: Experts

Chandigarh 06th July:- A group of environmentalists has warned of grieving situation of water crisis in the whole Himalayan region, owing to the global warming, which is causing glaciers melting at a fast pace. If the conditions remain same, all the Himalayan glaciers will melt down in next 30 years or so.
Narvijay Yadav, general secretary, Chandigarh Chapter of Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF-Chd), said that the alarm was raised at a recently concluded international conference held at Leh on Himalayan Environment and eco-system.
Rajesh Patel, Director, Goldenmiles Learning, Mumbai, who’s NGO has been working in remote Ladakh areas to spread awareness about keeping a balance in our approach to natural resources, said that we have exhausted the natural resources and now is time to give back to the Earth what we have already consumed.
Binod Chaudhary, Chairman, Chaudhary Group, who is the only billionaire of Nepal included in the Forbes List of Richest People, offered to support the save the Himlayas drive. As a patron of SHF, Binod Chaudhary announced to hold the 2nd SHF international conference in Nepal in November 2020.
Experts suggested ways to slow down the ensuing environmental crisis by applying several ways, like taking bath with only half bucket of water, stopping wastage of food, water and energy, and promoting the concept of reuse and recycle.
The international conference was focused on “World peace, 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi, and Preservation of cultural and natural heritage of the Himalayas’. Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, founder president, Save the Himalayas Foundation also appealed to everyone to use the natural resources wisely and with mindfulness.
The inaugural programme was held at the Acharya Nagarjuna Auditorium, Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Leh. However the technical sessions took place at Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Choglamsar, Leh.

PRCI Honours Eight Achievers on Daughters Day

Chandigarh 06th July:- Chandigarh Chapter of Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) in association with Panjab University Alumni Association observed the Daughters Day at the English Auditorium here today.
Seven women achievers and Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust were recognized for their accomplishments and contribution to society.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof Nishtha Jaswal, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, said that women must realize their own potential and that they are already empowered and  capable of multi-tasking which thrusts more responsibility on them to inculcate better values amongst their children so that future generation can evolve positively.
Women, she said, preserve the values they inherit from their parents, and hence these must be passed on to the next generation.
She lamented the misuse of laws meant for their protection against dowry, domestic violence and sexual harassment at work places, by many which sets a wrong precedent and corrupts the society.
The PRCI Daughters’ Day awards were given to polio-afflicted paralympic table tennis gold medalist Poonam, and international chess players Arunima and Tarini Goyal, as well as international skater Vidushi Rawat who holds Asian record of skating 15 hours continuously.
Sharmita Bhinder, who runs an NGO EmPower was recognized for working with special children, and training parents and teachers for working with special children.
Supreet Dhiman is acknowledged leader as a social activist whose campaign against incest has garnered international attention, and was recognized for her advocacy work, rescuing the victims and providing psychological support for their rehabilitation.
Entrepreneur and an army officers’ wife, Sartaj Lamba, who is chairman of AJ Group of companies was awarded for empowering the girls in slums through literacy and vocational training, and being a role model for budding entrepreneurs.
Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust was recognized for running the Neerja Bhanot Award since 1986 which had been celebrating the women of substance and values who had become an epitome of rightful action, restoring women’s dignity and inspiring others.
Dr. Deepti Gupta, Dean of PU Alumni Relations and chairperson of the English & Cultural Studies Department, remarked that every day is a daughters’ day and the Indian values teach us to be respectful to each other which is fundamental to strengthening the social fabric of the society.   Women have special task of keeping the good ethical values alive generation after generation, she added.
National Vice President of PRCI C.J. Singh informed that PRCI had been observing first week of July as Daughters Day pan-India since 2006 since birthday of astronaut Kalpana Chawla falls on 1st July, and is run to generate awareness amongst people to value the womenhood and the dignity they deserve in the society.
Northern Regional Head of PRCI, Renuka Salwan, conducted the proceedings and said that PRCI with its 35 chapters across the country are engaged in building self-confidence amongst girls and women through its strong communication campaigns and activities.


K S Bhatia Hails Budget for Being Pro Start Ups

Chandigarh 06th July:- Pumpkart Co Founder and Chairman, PHDCCI’s Punjab Start Up Panel K S Bhatia, has welcomed the Union Budget 2019 and called the same stupendous and phenomenal for the economy, particularly Start Ups.
K S Bhatia said that India needs at least 50-60 Unicorns for Economic Growth of 5 trillion USD by 2024. K S Bhatia added that the Union Budget has shown a very sincere effort at promoting the growth of Start Up Culture in India.
He said that Start Ups accounted for 30 per cent the total FDI coming into the country. Bhatia said that Startups are capable of generating business volumes of 1 trillion USD FDI every year, with dedicated government support. 
He said that this budget would bring relief for startups as the government has eased angel tax regulations and the startups will not require scrutiny by IT department.
He emphasized that capital gain exemption to start ups will give a major boost to the startup growth in India. K S Bhatia added that women entrepreneurship will be encouraged by tax exemption.
K S Bhatia appreciated the National Education Policy which aims at bringing higher education in India to the International level.
