Janmashtmi Celebration: Sago Dreamland to Host Janamashtami Fair: Fair to have imported swings, Household Goods and Exotic Food

Chandigarh 22nd Aug:- Sago Dreamland, which has made its mark at the national level in the world of full entertainment, will now entertain Chandigarh residents with a state-of-the-art fair on the occasion of Shri Krishna's birth anniversary. The fair has started at mandi ground located in Sector 45 today, which will continue till September.
In the Krishnotsav Mela, every age and class has been given attention, which includes children and youth. In this state-of-the-art fair, an effort has been made to provide everything under one roof to the people.
During a press conference held here, Director Dalbir Singh Deshwal of Sagu Dreamland said that the Srikrishnotsav Mela organized under the Sagu Dreamland, which has set a precedent at the national level, is a fully entertaining fair. He said that Shri Krishna Janmotsav is organized throughout the country every year and in continuation of this series, this year also it has been organized in various cities of northern and western parts of the country in the name of Shri Krishnaotsav Mela.
There are foreign swings and state-of-the-art swing in the Srikrishnotsav Mela, Dalbir Singh Deshwal said that there are a total of 20 different types of swings for youth and children in Carnival. He told that in foreign swings there is a Ranger which rotates at 360 degrees, Sky Spider which is 100 feet high, apart from Crozal, Swingite which is very interesting, enjoyable and entertaining for the youth.
He shared further that other attractive swings include octopus, dragon train, striking car, youth's favorite swing break dance, children's hammock swinging helicopter and colorful swings that will not stop enticing kids. Apart from this, the fastest running in the world of speed is Jhula Tora Tora. Not only this, there will be a lot of attraction for the youth in the carnival, which includes Swing it Striking car.
The manager of the fair, Amarpal Singh said that this fair is not only entertaining but also educative. Free competitions (Singing, Handwriting, Rangoli, Dancing, and Quiz) will be organized to encourage hidden art among children. He informed that each participant will also be given a memento and citation and a special prize will be given to the winner by a distinguished guest.
At the fair, visitors will also be able to enjoy the famous chaat of Delhi, the cuisine of Kufaku of Paratha Gali in Delhi, the delicious dishes and pakoras of Rajasthan, the dosa of South, and the popular dishes of Gujarat.

Diversity & Inclusivity is the Need of the Hour: Leena Nandan

Chandigarh 22nd Aug:- Recruiting a diverse workforce and forging an environment that promotes inclusion is the need of the hour. This was stated by Leena Nandan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, addressing the third edition of HR Crystal Ball organised by Confederation of Indian Industry at New Delhi.
She stressed on not limiting the responsibility of diversity & inclusion to HR function only. “She added that the leadership in any sphere of life will have to lead by example and companies who do not encourage diversity will find it difficult to grow as it will kill newer ideas. She gave an example of diverse instruments striking the right chord to produce beautiful music as an example of beauty of diversity.
Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Director–HR, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd stressed on the need to move away from ‘Compliance Requirement’ nature of D & I to business need. He gave several examples of good practices from his company to underline the importance of diversity, be it, race, ethnicity, orientation, gender, socio-economic, preferences, anything. He shared that research shows the 3 types of diversities, namely Gender Diversity, Diversity of Thought and Behavioural diversities, if handled well, give maximum productivity.
S Y Siddiqui, Chairman, CII Northern Region Committee on HR & IR and Executive Advisor, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, said that accepting and valuing all types of diversities and preferences should be part of our DNA. Today, diversity is not a good to do thing but has become business imperative. He also highlighted how diversity in multi-generational workforce brings new challenges in terms of expectations from the company. A diverse workforce is also more innovative workforce as it brings out newer ideas.
P Dwarakanath, Chairman, GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd, said that accountability on D&I should be of top management. The workforce down below should see the leadership leading by example. The organizational culture is best developed when leadership walks the talk. 
S K Bose, Co-Chairman, CII Northern Region Committee on HR & IR and Executive Director – HR, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd shared story of an inspiring initiative wherein IOCL partnered with Jail authorities in Hyderabad and got female inmates between the age group of 20 to 80 to come together and man some of the IOCL petrol pumps and the results have been promising.
A CII-KPMG report on ‘Diversity & Inclusion at Workplace’ was also released as part of the conclave. Ms Vishalli Dongrie, Partner and Head–People & Change Practice, KPMG India, briefed about the study.

Chandigarh 22nd Aug:- गाँव कैम्बवाला, चण्डीगढ़ स्थित केवल देसी गायों के पवित्र धाम गोपाल गोलोकधाम गौशाला में श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के अवसर पर धेनुमानस गौकथा का आयोजन किया जायेगा। 24 अगस्त से 28 अगस्त तक होने वाली ये गौकथा गाय को राष्ट्रमाता बनाने का देशव्यापी अभियान चला रहे गौ गंगा कृपाकांक्षी गोपाल मणि जी महाराज करेंगे। कथा का निमंत्रण एवं प्रचार हेतु गोपाल मणि महाराज अपने भक्तों के साथ श्री सनातन धर्म मंदिर, सेक्टर 45 पहुंचे जहां मंदिर के महासचिव शिव कुमार, समाजसेवी सुखमय सेवा एवं चेरिटेबल समिति के अध्यक्ष वरिंदर भटारा और महिला संकीर्तन मंडल की प्रधान रमन चतुर्वेदी ने उनका स्वागत किया।

धर्माचार्य गिरिवर शर्मा ने बताया कि इसी दौरान गोपाल मणि जी महाराज की अध्यक्षता में 25 अगस्त को सुबह 10 बजे एक विशाल बैठक का आयोजन गौशाला में होगा जिसमें गाय को राष्ट्रमाता बनाने के देशव्यापी अभियान बारे चर्चा की जाएगी। गौकथा रोजाना दोपहर 2:00 से सायं 6:00 बजे तक होगी जिसमें 29 राज्यों के प्रतिनिधि हजारों गौ भक्तों के साथ भाग लेंगे। 

Godrej Professional Unveils Colour Play Trends 2019 with 100 Salon Stylists

LTHE Awarded EPCI Project from Saudi Aramco for 28 Jackets

Mumbai 22nd Aug:- Consortium of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE) and EMAS AMC PTE Ltd. (A Subsea7 Company) has been awarded a project by Saudi Aramco. This project consists of twenty eight offshore jackets in ZULUF, MARJAN, SFANIYA &RIBYAN offshore fields of Saudi Arabia.
It demonstrates Saudi Aramco’s trust on LTHE’s capability to deliver to a challenging schedule with excellent safety and quality performance.
LTHE’s fabrication facilities in Middle East &India are fully equipped to execute these challenging projects.
