Chandigarh 14th August:- To
celebrate Independence Day in a different way, a one of a kind Trade
Expo: 'Namaste Thailand Expo 2018' is being Organised by Planning
Gurus, a company based out of Chandigarh, in collaboration with Thai SME's
Exporter Association from August 15 till 19, 2018 in Himachal Bhawan,
Sec 28 here. The Thai Ambassador will
formally inaugurate the showcase on August 15 at 4 PM in Himachal
Bhawan. Thepthai Suriyalaksh,

Walia, Director, Planning Gurus, Anong,
General Secretary, Thai SME’s Exporter Association, Patcharee Thongrit,
Additional Secretary, Thai SME’s Exporter Association, Anna, Joint Secretary,
Thai SME’s Exporter Association & Aman Walia, Director, Planning Gurus,
participated in a press meet to announce details of the upcoming
show.
In
his message H.E. Chutintorn Gongsakdi Ambassador of Thailand to India said
that while the Indo-Thai bilateral trade stands at around USD 10 billion, and
there are 28 Thai companies invested in Bharat, there is much more room
for growth of both trade and investment between an emerging 'New India
2022' and 'Thailand 4.0'. There is always
more that we can do to promote awareness of each other's
products, services and cultures. 'Namaste Thailand Expo 2018' hopes to do
this, focusing on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as Thai
hospitality.
Exhibitors
from across Thailand will converge with their wares at the 60 stalls being put
up at 'Namaste Thailand Expo 2018'.
Thepthai Suriyalaksh, Director,Thai SMEs Exporter
Association, said that the Royal
Thai Embassy had organised the 'Namaste Thailand
2018' festival in March 2018 in New Delhi and will organize the
2019 edition next year. Actually, Namaste Thailand 2018 in New Delhi gave
inspiration to the Thai SMEs Exporters Association to organize Namaste Thailand
Expo 2018 in Chandigarh. The Expo will strengthen Indo-Thai relations,
create trade & investment opportunities and offer broaden consumer choice
for Thai products & services to the region's residents.
Traditional
Thai Spa products, jewellery, garments, natural latex products, fashion
accessories will be available.
Rattandeep
Singh Walia, Director, Planning Guru, said that it is a matter of pride for us
that we are collaborating with Thai SMEs Exporter Association which earlier had
a tie up for exhibitions with Confederation of Indian Industry(CII). The
'Namaste Thailand Expo 2018' will be a treasure trove for those looking to shop
for authentic Thai products & services.The Expo will offer the famous therapeutic
massage therapy services & ayurvedic products of Thailand.

General Secretary, Thai SMEs Exporter
Association, sai that Tharadol Thongruang, Minister
Counsellor(Commercial),Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, New
Delhi, which comes under the Department of International Trade Promotion,
Ministry of Commerce , Government of Thailand will also accompany the
Ambassador during the inaugural ceremony.
A
food court with Veg & Non Veg Thai specialities, salads etc will also be
put up.

Joint Secretary, Thai SME’s Exporter Association said that the Thai Ambassador
will also do some Thai cooking himself in the morning of August 16.
The dishes he makes can be savoured by visitors.
Another
attraction at the exhibition will be Thai Cultural dance performances each day
& through the day.
Sarina
Emradee, Supadcha Siriyota & Apichot Katekeaw who are all traditional Thai
