OYO Introduces Sunrise Check-in From 6 AM

By Tricitynews Reporter
Chandigarh 27th September:- OYO, India’s largest branded network of hotels, has launched a much-needed solution assuring early check-in up to 7 days prior to booking. This is sharp disruption - to the prevalent industry norm across the world, with each hotel having its own arbitrary check-in time (usually 12 noon), and guests left stranded and helpless. The new feature is the latest in the list of pioneering solutions introduced by OYO to deliver efficient, predictable and standardized stays to travelers. This facility is being offered free of cost in many OYOs, and at a nominal charge in others. With this launch, OYO has become the first hotel brand in the world to offer guaranteed early check-in to guests.
OYO’s Sunrise check-in is now live both on its website and mobile app. Customers can easily identify, select and book hotels that offer confirmed early check-in. In addition, guests can also modify their existing booking and secure an early check-in.
Speaking on launch, Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO, OYO, said that despite changes in the way we live, travel and work, the hotel industry across the world continues to follow the outdated concept of a standard check-in time. Nowadays, travel is no longer about following prescribed itineraries. At OYO we understand our guests and build features tailored to their needs. With Sunrise check-in travelers can plan their mode of travel, duration and trip-itinerary in a better way, without being constrained by the check-in time.
Often times travelling customers start arriving in cities as early as 6 AM. However, they are inconvenienced by the fact that most hotels offer check-in only after 12 noon. Whether they need to get ready or freshen up for a meeting, catch a quick nap before a long day, unwind or prepare to visit a temple, all types of travelers - business, leisure and pilgrim – can require early check-in. So far, their only option was to request the hotel prior to check-in or upon arrival, with the facility being offered subject to availability of rooms.
Ritesh elaborated that the need to get a guaranteed early check-in is one of the key reasons that guests book hotels by walking in. Many of our guests shared that strict schedules for check-in times is one of their biggest pain-points related to hotel-booking.  Our Sunrise check-in feature gives them the freedom to plan their travel in a flexible manner. We expect an enthusiastic response to this feature and early indications show that nearly 20% of bookings post-launch are availing this service.
Sunrise check-in service is delivered via the OYO Partners system where hotels update days where they can offer early check-in and millions of users receive this update on a real-time basis. Strict guidelines ensure full compliance towards the fundamental philosophy of delivering a delightful stay experience.

PETRONAS Launches PETRONAS Urania with ViscGuard™

By Tricitynews Reporter
Chandigarh 27th September:- PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) today launched PETRONAS Urania with ViscGuard™, its flagship commercial vehicle lubricant (CVL) formulated to effectively guard against engine deposits build-up.
This new range of diesel engine lubricants prevents abrasive wear and oxidation to maintain optimal oil viscosity that is necessary to keep commercial vehicle drivers and businesses on the move.
PETRONAS Urania with ViscGuard™ will be available in phases, starting from Oct, 2016 onwards in the India.
Chief Commercial Officer of PLI, Giuseppe Pedretti said that PETRONAS Urania with ViscGuard™ is the result of PLI’s global research, conducted to understand our customers’ and the end consumers’ business and transportation needs. He added that we discovered that unplanned downtime is their biggest fear as it may lead to opportunity cost and loss of reputation. Thus, ensuring proper maintenance of their key asset, the engine, is extremely important.
Giuseppe Pedretti said that PETRONAS Urania with ViscGuard™not only guards the heart of a vehicle against engine deposits build-up, but also has a direct impact on the total cost of ownership for our customers. In addition, itensures that our customers are able to remain operational and meet their business commitment day after day.
The build-up of engine deposits is a common but underestimated problem, which can lead to engine failure and unplanned downtime if not addressed. Soot particles produced during the combustion process can enter the engine oil, causing thickening and further agglomerate to form larger particles that stick to critical engine parts.
These ‘silent killers’ can starve critical engine parts which require necessary lubrication and increase engine’s wear and tear. Over time, and aggravated by the severe operating conditions that commercial vehicles undergo, it will eventually lead to total engine breakdown.
Pedretti added that technology is our key differentiator at PETRONAS. We dedicated much of our focus to hone in and further sharpen our technological edge. This has allowed us to leverage our strong legacy in lubricants technology to innovate and deliver superior products and service offerings that meet the needs of the automotive industry and our end consumers.
Mohd Khalid Bin Mohamed Latiff, Head Asia-Pacific region, mentioned that PETRONAS Lubricants has been aggressively building a strong base in the highly competitive lubricant industry in India. Our USD50 million-plant investment is the proof of our commitment. We envision strong growth in future and are committed grow our commercial vehicles business with a CAGR of 30%over the next 5 years. Commercial Vehicles contribute to a significant portion of our volumes and this launch of PETRONAS Urania with ViscGuardTM, will help us deliver the same. Our new route-to-market approach will enable our distributors to improve ROI through high efficiency management, enhanced professional selling skill and toolkits, and more resource support from the PLI Group.
