Badnore Inaugurate Yoga and Panchakarma Center at Dhanvantari Ayurvedic College

Chandigarh, 07th Mar, 2020:- The Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore, today inaugurated the newly created Yoga and Panchkarma Center in Dhanwantari Ayurvedic College campus and Laboratory Service at No Profit No Loss. On this occasion, he flagged off the ambulance.
On the occasion, General Secretary of the College Management Committee, Mr. Naresh Mittal announced that a program for the care of senior citizens will also be started under the supervision of the Chandigarh administration in collaboration with the senior students of the college. Administrator Badnore welcomed the scheme. The administrator visited the new building being built here and looks the progress of the work being done. The foundation stone of this building was done by the administrator only 6 months ago.
On this occasion, Naresh Mittal said that 80 lakh has been spent on the construction of this Yoga and Panchkarma center.
On this occasion, the head of the department Dr. DK Chadha said that with the start of this center, Panchkarma facility will be available to people in and around Chandigarh. He told that special Yoga and Panchkarma trainers have been recruited for this. 

Max Hospital, Mohali Completes 750 Successful Transplants

Our hospital caters to patients from Punjab, Haryana, J&K and Himachal Pradesh in the immediate neighbouring states. Other than these, patients arrive from as far as Manipur, Guwahati and Bihar. The living kidney transplantation program in India has evolved in the past 45-yr and is currently the 2nd largest program in numbers after USA, maintained Gill.
Dr Vinay Sakhuja, Director Nephrology and Transplant Medicine informed that it is estimated that almost annually 2,20,000 people require kidney transplant in India. Against this, currently approximately 7,500 kidney transplants are performed at 250 kidney transplant centers in India. Of these, 90% come from living donors and 10% from deceased donors, he remarked.
Kidney Transplant Unit at Max also included Dr Manish Singla, senior consultant- nephrology and kidney transplant and Dr Jagdish Sethi, senior consultant and chief transplant surgeon.
Meanwhile out of total 749 transplants performed at Max , 15 were swap transplants, 10 pediatric transplant, 15 second transplant and 3 third transplants.
The 20 transplants were done in 2013 followed by 120, 113, 94, 123, 124 and 144 in the year 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively.

RED FM Launches “Doubt Ko Out” to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Chandigarh, 07th Mar, 2020:- 93.5 RED FM, one of the largest and most awarded private radio network in India has come up with a new campaign, ‘Doubt Ko Out’ on International Women’s Day. The campaign will bring out stories of women who faced challenges related to physical appearance and body shaming and doubts on their capabilities to do something given to them by the society.  Women from different strata’s of society depicting that how societal behavior can harm someone to this extent that women can lose self-confidence and can even go to extent of harming themselves.
As part of this initiative, RED FM will feature some of the women from different walks of life and give them a makeover. The stories of these women were narrated on air and an on-ground exhibition will showcase their transformation photographs at the VR Punjab Mall on 8thMarch 2020. These extraordinary women will be present at the exhibition to tell their stories.
Commenting on this initiative, Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO, RED FM and Magic FM, said that this Women’s Day, we wanted to put spotlight on strong women who choose to rebel against the pressures of societal expectations and have emerged as winners in their field of work. These women are the ones who refused to take the pressure about their looks, body type, shape, career choices and made their own path. RED FM has always believed in promoting equality and encouraging people to challenge the status quo. “Doubt ko Out” is one such endeavour that celebrates women who made a meaningful difference in their lives.
The campaign will feature stories of some of the renowned Punjabi celebrities like Rupinder Handa, Bharti, T J Bhanuand Jasleen Royal. Punjabi Superstar Singer Singaa came forward to support these girls and was part of this photoshoot for the exhibition.

नए उजाले की आशा ने लगाया निशुल्क मेडिकल कैंप

Chandigarh, 07th Mar, 2020:- नए उजाले की आशा एनजीओ द्वारा मुकुट हॉस्पिटल सेक्टर 34  के सहयोग से हाउसिंग बोर्ड डबल स्टोरी,धनास में निशुल्क मेडिकल कैंप लगाया गया। जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि चंडीगढ़ भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष अरुण सूद,मंडल अध्यक्ष वीरेंद्र टम्टा,महासचिव महेंद्र राणा विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे।
एनजीओ के संस्थापक संजीव वर्मा एवं नजमा खान ने बताया कि मेडिकल कैंप में 150 मरीजों की निशुल्क जांच की गई। जिसमे दिल के सीनियर डॉक्टर, हड्डियों के डॉक्टर एवं जर्नल मेडिसन के डॉक्टर उपस्थित रहे। आने वाले मरीजों की ईसीजी एवं ब्लड शुगर के टेस्ट किए गए तथा पाई गई बीमारियों के लिए निशुल्क दवाइयां दी गई।
रेजिडेंट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन हाउसिंग बोर्ड धनास के प्रधान शिवकरण राणा एवं उनकी टीम द्वारा प्रत्येक आने वाले मरीजों को देश में फैल रहे करोना वायरस से बचने के उपाय बताएं।
