Dharmendra Back in His Romantic Chocolate Boy Image: Marking His Debut as the Lead in the Short Film Category

Chandigarh 13th Feb, 2020:- Apna Punjab da puttar Dharmendra comes back again in his most famous role that of a romantic chocolate boy in a soon to be released movie titled Phoolchand Ki Phoolkumari. Dharmendra has been paired with Zarina Wahab for the first time in this film.
The 17-minute film is part of an anthology series consisting of four such romantic films. Being made by Chilsag Pictures, the writer-producer-director of the four part series is Sachin Gupta.  The shooting of the Dharmendra-Zarina Wahab starrer has just been concluded in Mumbai. Sachin Gupta has been credited to make different cinema like Paranthe Wali Gali, Pakhi, Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq. Another anthology by him titled `Mango Talkies’ with six stories will release in March.
Speaking about his experience on coming back to acting in a movie after such a long time, the `original’ King of Romance Dharmendra said that hereally liked the concept and the story and he decided to go ahead with the project. Working with ace actress Zarina Wahab was also what made him take up the project. He love being in front of the camera and hence would not like to miss any opportunity especially when the story is a good one. He loved working with the whole team and we became one big family on the sets.’
Dharmendra had even tweeted a picture from the sets of the movie. ``Bahut pyaari insaan, aur ek umda adakra Zarina Wahab ke saath ek chhoti mukhtsar si film ki shooting ke mauqe par kali li gai ek tasveer,’’ he says in his tweet.
On her part Zarina Wahab said that she was super excited to be offered a role opposite Dharam and she could just not say no. She has always thought of Dharam as having the looks of a Greek God. She remembers inviting him to the sets of Chitchor at the start of her career. Dharmendra is all what you can think of in a good co-star: humble, accommodating. The story was also something she took to instantly as it is a super cute one and really relevant in today’s times.’
The four part anthology is most likely to hit the big screens in the first half of 2020. The shooting of the other short films is still to commence.
Speaking on his experience of working with the duo, Sachin Gupta stated that he wanted to bring alive the magic of yesteryear romance which is why he decided to make this short film. Working with Dharmendra was a super experience and he is truly a legend. Despite his age, he used to be on the sets even at 8am if the shot demanded, despite having spent the whole night rehearsing his scenes. He used to improvise the shots by adding his own lines and his poetry. It is honestly very rare to find such discipline and dedication at such an age. The chemistry of the couple Zarina Wahab and Dharmendra was great and we were able to bring the romance alive on the screen too.’
The movie also stars debutant Priyanka Lulla who has earlier starred in music videos. Gully Boy fame Nakul Sahdev is also part of the movie. Child artist Naisha Khanna who has starred in movies like Hichki, Baar Baar Dekho and Brothers also forms part of the star cast.

Total Advances of Commercial Banks/RRBs In Haryana Increased by Rs. 15050 Crores from Rs. 2,56,387 Crore as at Dec, 2018 to Rs. 2,71,437 Crore as at Dec, 2019

Chandigarh 13th Feb, 2020:- The 151st meeting of State Level Bankers’ Committee Haryana was held today at Hotel Mount View, Sector 10, Chandigarh. Shri TVSN Prasad, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana, Finance & Planning Deptt was the Chief Guest of the Meeting. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Yaduvanshi, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank presided over the meeting.
Dhanpat Singh, IAS, ACS, Housing Department, Haryana;  Bhawna Garg, IAS, Dy. Director General, UIDAI;Ms. Amna Tasneem, IAS, Managing Director, HSFDC, J K Pandey, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh; Rajiv Mahajan, CGM, NABARD, Regional Office, Haryana; D K Jain, Zonal Manager, Punjab National Bank, Haryana Zone & Convener, State Level Bankers’ Committee, Haryana and  Senior Officers of the State Govt. and Controlling Heads of the Banks operating in the State of Haryana were among those who attended the meeting.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Yaduvanshi, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank in his key note address informed that since launch of Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) on 28th August, 2014, banks have opened 71,96,797 accounts up to 31st Dec., 2019. Out of total, 34,24,769 accounts of women have been opened which is 48% of the total accounts opened and Rupay Cards have been issued in 89% of the total accounts opened.
While informing the house about the progress made by banks in 3 Social Security Schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) for accidental death insurance, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) for life insurance cover and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) for old age pension,  Shri Yaduvanshi informed that under PMSBY the banks have enrolled 33,62,018 persons, under PMJJBY enrolled 9,66,178 persons and  in Atal Pension Yojana (APY) enrolled 3,64,456 persons upto 31st  Dec., 2019.  He called upon the bankers and the officials from respective insurance companies to accelerate their efforts to extend the benefits of the scheme to a large number of masses in the State.
While speaking on Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, Rajesh Kumar Yaduvanshi said that Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana was launched to “fund the un-funded” by bringing such enterprises to the formal financial system and to extend affordable credit to them.  He informed that under MUDRA loans as on 31st  Dec., 2019 the banks in Haryana have given loan of  Rs 2347 crores to 272351 persons in first nine months of the current financial year.
R K Yaduvanshi informed the house that in the interim Budget 2019-20, the Union Govt announced their decision to extend the facility of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to Animal Husbandry & Fisheries to help them meeting working capital requirements.  In pursuance of the said Budget announcement, Reserve Bank of India in its Notification dated February 03, 2019, has framed guidelines for extending the KCC facility for working capital requirements for activities related to animal husbandry & fisheries.  In accordance with the guidelines of RBI, the Scale of Finance has since been approved by State Level Technical Committee and the same has also been circulated to all banks.
While reviewing the performance of the banks for the review period from Dec 2018 to Dec 2019 under various key parameters, Mr. Yaduvanshi informed that the Banking System in the State achieved all the National Goals during period under review.  He informed that the Commercial Banks and RRBs opened 175 New Branches during review period thus raising the total number of branches to 4939.  The Total Deposits of Commercial Banks/RRBs increased to Rs. 4,10,828 Crore as at Dec 2019 from Rs.3,71,820 crore as at Dec, 2018 thus showing an increase of Rs. 39008 Crore or 10%.
The Total Advances during the review period increased to Rs. 2,71,436 Crore registering a growth of Rs.15,049 Crore. Priority Sector Advances gone up from Rs.1,40,190 crore to Rs. 1,45,064 Crore recording an increase of Rs.4,874 or 3% during the review period.  Priority Sector Advances to total advances in the State as on Dec 2019 stands at 57% as against National Goal of 40%.  Agriculture Advances increased from Rs.52,240 Crore to Rs.52,779 Crore exhibiting a growth of Rs. 539 Crore or 1% during the review period.  The ratio of Agriculture Advances to total advances was 21% as against National Goal of 18%. Overall CD Ratio as on Dec 2019 for State as a whole was 66% against National Goal of 60%. 
While informing about the “Stand Up India” Programme launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 5th April 2016, R K Yaduvanshi informed that since inception of the scheme Banks in Haryana have given loan under Stand Up India to 384 beneficiaries amounting to Rs 8112 lakhs.
The overall achievement of banks under Annual Credit Plan 2019-20 upto Dec, 2019 was 84%. The achievement under Agriculture, MSME and Other Priority Sector was 75%, 112% and 71% respectively.
He laid focus on educating the borrowers about the timely repayment of bank dues. He also requested the State Govt. to help the banks in the early settlement of pending 23,455 Recovery Certificates filed under HACOMP Act involving an amount of Rs. 753 Crore pending as at Dec 2019. He requested the State Govt. to take necessary steps to improve the recovery as the recovery of advances is the urgent requirement of banks for re-cycling of funds and for viable banking operations.

Sony SAB Launches ‘Maddam Sir-Kuch Baat Hai Kyunki Jazbaat Hai’

Chandigarh 13th Feb, 2020:- Sony SAB broadens its content slate with a one of its kind light-hearted value driven show ‘Maddam Sir’ set to premiere on 24th February 2020, at 10 PM. With an apt tagline, ‘Kuch Baat Hai Kyunki Jazbaat Hai’, the show is set to change people’s perspective about typical policing. The story showcases the power of women instincts while beating the stereotype of the conventional way of policing and introduces a fresh belief of policing with a heart.  Maddam Sir addresses social issues through the eyes of four dynamic women police officers who will set the audience’s hearts on fire with their unique set of qualities that distinguish them from each other.
Set against the backdrop of the shaahi Lucknow, Maddam Sir features four dynamic police officers Haseena Mallik (Gulki Joshi), Karishma Singh (Yukti Kapoor), Santosh Sharma (Bhavika Sharma) and Pushpa Singh (Sonali Naik) as they try solving cases, that come in Aminabad Mahila Police Thana, in their distinct yet fun ways.
Maddam Sir is set to add the element of fun, drama and teach the viewers some valuable lessons.
Gulki Joshi, playing the role of Haseena Mallik said that Maddam Sir is a value-driven show and she is extremely happy to be a part of it as it will not only entertain the viewers but all give them something to think about. Her character Haseena is a disciplined, focused and a go-getter personality, something which she personally relates to. So, it has been really exciting shooting for this character, especially with such an amazing team. Everyone has got along really well and we have an amazing time on the sets.
Yukti Kapoor, essaying the role of Karishma Singh said that her character Karishma, is a fierce police officer who doesn’t believe in emotional policing as much as she does in penal punishment she love her character and we are all working very hard to bring perfection into our roles. Since the show is based in Lucknow, she is working on her dialect and we are also being trained on the mannerisms of a police officer. It is very exciting shooting for Maddam Sir and she is sure the audience is going to love watching this one of a kind show.
Sonali Naik, playing the role of Pushpa Singh shared that this is her first show with Sony SAB and she is really excited for it as she have never tried this genre previously. This role is somehow challenging for her as she is required to do comedy with a straight face but her face speaks a lot. Also, she is working on her accent as being a Maharashtrian, it is a bit difficult to get the Lucknow accent proper. However, she is glad to be a part of such a show with an amazing theme.
Bhavika Sharma, playing the role of Santosh Sharma said that she is overwhelmed to be working for an amazing show like Maddam Sir and with really great co-stars. With our characters being so distinct, there something different that we get to do and learn from each other. It feels great to be bringing for the audience a show based on a really important and innovative concept that of a ‘Mahila Police Thana’ as we present it with an element of fun. She request the audience to support us and shower some love upon our show.

Saregama Announces Its Re-Entry into the Punjabi Music Market

Badnore Releases Chandigarh Road Safety Manual and Series of Books "TOWARDS ROAD SAFETY"

Chandigarh 13th Feb, 2020:- The Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT, Chandigarh HE V.P. Singh Badnore today released 'CHANDIGARH ROAD SAFETY MANUAL' prepared by
Harman Singh Sidhu, President, Arrive Safe for the benefit of existing road users.  The Chandigarh Road Safety manual aims to sensitize road users to adopt safe driving practices. The Manual comprehensively and insightfully discusses all challenges to driving whether relating to road conditions, weather, time of the day, visibility, nature of traffic, etc. The Governor desired that this manual should be supplied to the drivers who appear for learner/renewal license at least 15 days in advance.
Further, the Governor also released a series of three books "Towards Road Safety' as part of the curriculum for School children. These road safety books (in Hindi and English) have been developed by Chandigarh Traffic Police in association with the State Council of Education, Research and Training (SCERT), UT, Chandigarh for primary (3-5 class),  middle (6-8 class) and senior levels (9-10 class) for school children.
The Governor also desired that these books should be introduced as part of the curriculum for school children from the next academic session i.e. 2020-2021.
Senior Officers of Chandigarh Administration including Manoj Parida, Adviser to Administrator, Arun Kumar Gupta, Home Secretary, Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Finance Secretary, Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Sanjay Baniwal, DGP, Shashank Anand and SSP Traffic were also present on the occasion.


8th Global Festival of Journalism Propagated Positive Journalism

Chandigarh 13th Feb, 2020:- The first ever festivals of Journalism of Asia and second in the World created a wonderful opportunity for journalists from all over India and abroad a powerful cultural exchange. International Journalism Center and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film and Television jointly presented the 8th edition of Global Festival of Journalism Noida at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.
Sandeep Marwah President of the festival, said that it was exactly nine years back we announced 12th February as the International Day of Journalism under International Journalism Center. To Mark respect to our own decision we started first ever festival of journalism on the fixed dates of 12th, 13th and 14th of February. We feel elevated now, when hundreds of organizations all over the World have started celebrating this particular day.

वाल्मीकि समाज ने नगर निगम कार्यालय का किया घेराव: राजेश कालिया और कमिश्नर के खिलाफ की नारेबाजी

Chandigarh 13th Feb, 2020:- संघर्ष समिति के बैनर तले आज वाल्मीकि समाज के सैंकड़ो लोगों ने चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम कार्यालय का घेराव किया और पूर्व मेयर राजेश कालिया एवम निगम कमिश्नर के के यादव के खिलाफ जमकर नारेबाजी की। ये घेराव गुरचरण सिंह के खिलाफ 68 लाख रुपये का नोटिस दिए जाने और उन्हें नौकरी से निकाले जाने के विरोध में किया गया था।वहीँ नगर निगम की मेयर राजबाला मलिक ने समिति के प्रतिनिधि मंडल को आश्वासन दिया कि फरवरी महीने के अंत तक इस मामले को निपटा देने का प्रयास करेंगी।
भारतीय मजदूर संघ ने भी इस धरना प्रदर्शन में वाल्मीकि समाज का साथ दिया। इस अवसर पर कंवरपाल गहलोत, सतवीर चौधरी, हरजिंदर मकवाना एडवोकेट, धर्मगुरु महेंद्र सिंह, ओम क्लास, बबलू बिरला, अशोक कुमार, प्रेसिडेंट, ऑल कंस्ट्रक्शन कर्मचारी संघ,कालूराम इत्यादि भी मौजूद थे। 
इसी मौके संघर्ष समिति के पदाधिकारियों और बाल्मीकि समाज के  सदस्यों ने स्पष्ट किया किया कि मेयर राजबाला मलिक द्वारा दिये गए आश्वासन के तहत अगर इस महीने के अंत तक कोई परिणाम सामने नही आता, तो मार्च महीने से बाल्मीकि समाज फिर से सड़कों पर उतर आएगा।
