3 Day Paintings Exhibition Starts in City

Chandigarh 07th October:- Here is the golden opportunity to adorn your walls with 'original' master pieces of art and not the fake originals in the guise of ' prints ' which have become the order of the day for the simple reason that people are unable to afford the originals .
In their endeavor to promote art in the region and make people conscious of original art and buy them at an affordable price, a 3-day painting exhibition started at held Hotel Aroma today.
 The show is being put up jointly by Archana who is a registered artist of Shivi Art India Delhi , Seniority Group Delhi and Dizere Art Gallery Gurugram , Meenu Munjal , a distinguished member of Natraj Art Zone and Kala Sadhak Sangam, Haryana, Renu Aggarwal a member of Natraj Art Zone , Haryana and Rosy Grover who does abstract art.
The exhibition is consisted of myriads of bright & vibrant landscapes, figurative art & still life, a burst of opulent colours in the form of abstract flowers & geometrical figures, and celebration of deities like Buddha and Ganesha & spatter of nature's hues. 
In fact there are also painting for every occasion and for every decor. Besides there are paintings for every occasion and for every décor at reasonable prices.
Meanwhile Archana is an expert par excellence in water and acrylic colours. She has won many certificates in online contests. Recently she also released a book on water colours landscapes which is creating quite a ripple in the art circles. She is also specialized in pipal leaf art. In her paintings one can see all aspects of life like landscapes, seascapes, music, Buddha,  Ganesha. She is also indulged in illusion and 3D art. In her painting which are put up in the show, one can see all aspects of life like landscapes, seascapes, music, Buddha, Ganesha etc.
Meenu works have been widely acclaimed and displayed at various national fora including Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy & Punjab Kala Bhavan. Recently she organized her solo exhibition in art gallery Chandigarh on the theme "floral palette. Her paintings are based on nature.
Whereas Renu Aggarwal often make paintings on Krishna and Ganesha. She has also organized her solo exhibitions at different places. She is indulged in abstract art and often makes paintings on Krishna and Ganesha.
 In Rosy Grover one can see her figurative art work and modern art. She amazes with her artwork on nature. One can see her figurative art work and how she has done a great job in morden art.

India’s Buying Propensity Improves in Q2 2016 TRA Research

Chandigarh 07th October:- India’s Q2 2016 Buying Propensity Index (BPI) stood at 0.47, (measured on a scale between +1 to -1), up 0.05 BPI points from last quarter. The Buying Propensity Index is a result of a primary research across 3,000 consumer-influencers across 8 cities in India conducted every quarter.
N. Chandramouli, CEO, TRA Research, elaborated on the Buying Propensity Index for Q1 2016 and said that the Buying Propensity Index of Q2 2016 stood at 0.47, higher compared to last quarter. Overall the buying sentiment for the quarter remains fairly positive.
He further added that the deeper analysis shows that the Transactional sentiment rose at a steady pace in Q2, dipping only very slightly in the month of August. The Aspirational sentiment witnessed a remarkably rise of 0.27 points in September which signals the improvement in need-based buying behavior, while the higher Aspirational sentiment implies improvement in aspirational spending capabilities, and thereby indicating the onset of a good Diwali season.
The Buying Propensity Index (BPI) is a measure of the existing buying sentiment or ‘keenness to buy’ of India. The current Index represents the second Quarter of FY 2016, i.e. July, August and September. The Buying Propensity indicator is a detailed analysis of three factors: the transactional and Aspirational Buying Sentiment of the Indian consumer along with the Environmental Buying sentiment of the country. The BPI value can range between -1 and 1 ranging from a completely Negative Sentiment to a fully Positive Sentiment.

Chandigarh 07th October:- महर्षि दयानंद पब्लिक स्कूल दरिया, चंडीगढ़  में आयोजित वाइल्डलाइफ वीक संपन्न हो गया है।  स्काउट्स और गाइड्स ने आज पर्यावरण विभागचंडीगढ़ प्रशासन के सहयोग से नेपली फॉरेस्ट  का दौरा किया।  बच्चों नेवहाँ जाकर टीचर्स से वनों और वन्य जीवों के  बारे में विस्तृत जानकारीहासिल की।  उन्होंने यह अवलोकन किया कि वन ही वन्य जीवों के आश्रय औरभोजन का स्थल है।  यहाँ पर पशु - पक्षी बेहतर  जीवन जी सकते हैं पेड़ -पौधे पर्यावरण को स्वच्छ बनाते हैं।  स्वस्थ रहने के लिए ताज़ी तथा प्रदूषण रहित हवा आवश्यक है।  इसलिए पौधों का रोपण जरूरी हैं।  शहरीकरणके कारण वनों का क्षेत्र संकीर्ण होता जा रहा है।  पेड़ों के कटने सेवन्य जीव  लोगों  के घरों में जाते हैं। इससे मनुष्यों और जानवरों काजीवन प्रभावित  होता है।  स्टूडेंट्स ने बताया कि वास्तव में  वन और वन्यजीव हमारी सम्पदा है।  इसका सरंक्षण एवं संवर्धन आवश्यक है।बच्चों ने बताया कि उन्होंने पुस्तकों में वनों के बारे में तो अध्ययन तोकिया था मगर प्रयोगिक रूप से इसे देखकर वनों तथा वन्य जीवों के प्रतिलगाव के भावना बढ़ी है।  पशु - पक्षी हमारे मित्र हैं।  इनकी देखभाल करनासबका दायित्व है।  इन्ही से प्रकृति को चार चाँद लगते हैं। इस मौके परटीचर्स ने उनका पूरा मार्गदर्शन किया।
डॉ विनोद कुमार ने बताया कि इसविजिट का मुख्य उद्देश्य स्टूडेंट्स को वन्य प्राणियों तथा वनों कीमहत्ता से अवगत कराना था।


Joint Team of Food Safety Officers Conducts Inspection at Food Business Units

Chandigarh 07th October:- Commissioner Food Safety constituted a joint team of Food Safety Officers Bharat Kanojia, Surinder Pal Singh and Bhaljinder Singh for conducting inspection of Food Business units and sampling of food articles in U.T. of Chandigarh. The team inspected Sindhi Sweets, Sector-8 & 17, Gopal Sweets, Sector-8 & 15 and Bikaner Sweets, Sector-26 Chandigarh today and seized samples of the food articles in lieu of the coming festival season. The said seized samples have been sent to the Food Analyst Laboratory for analysis and examination. The food vendors were also instructed to keep hygiene and quality standards as per Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
                                                                                               


Administration to Hold Draw of Lots for Reservation of Wards of General Election to MC

Chandigarh 07th October:- The Chandigarh Administration has decided to hold general election to Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh from existing 26 wards. The draw of lots for the reservations of wards for scheduled Castes candidates(including scheduled Castes Women) and women (General), to be  filled up by direct elections, will be held on 14th October, 2016, at 11.00 A.M in the Conference hall of the U.T. State Guest House, Sector-6, Chandigarh by the State Election Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh.




Fate of 3 Lac SC OBC Students Hangs in Balance:480 Crore Unpaid,Over 700 Colleges observed Punjab Bandh

Chandigarh 07th October:- Around 700 Colleges falling under 22 Districts of Punjab today observed complete Bandh. Black Flags were also hosted on all the College premises in all districts of Punjab. A Memorandum from all the districts was also submitted to the Deputy Commissioner appealing for immediate action plan on the release of SC BC payment from Punjab Government.
Future of around 3 lakh SC OBC students in Punjab is at risk due to nonpayment of SC OBC scholarship funds from last 2 years by the Punjab Government.
A press conference was also organized by the joint action committee in which Presidents of all 13 different colleges Association including Dr. J.S Dhaliwal, President, PUTIA; Jagjit Singh, President, Federation of Self-Financed B.Ed college of Punjab; Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA; Ranbir Dhindsa, Coordinator, Association of Polytechnic Colleges of Punjab; Charanjit Walia, President, Nursing Colleges Association; Amarjeet Walia, Ayurvedic Association; Dr. Vikram Sharma, Dental Association; Nirmal Singh, ETT Federation; Jasnik Singh Kakkar, B.Ed Association (Panjab University); Satwinder Singh Sandhu, B.Ed Association (GNDU); Shimanshu Gupta, Private ITI Association; Gurmeet Dhaliwal, Chairman, Academic Advisory Forum; Sukhmander Singh Chatha, President, Punjab Unaided Degree Colleges, Association etc and urged Government to release the funds meant for SC BC students.
Dr. J.S Dhaliwal while addressing the press conference said that till date despite of repeated representation to CM/ Deputy CM/ Secretaries / Directors still 80 Crores of around 2,86,000 students of 2014-15 and Approx 400 Crores of nearly 3 lac students of 2015- 16 is unpaid and due towards Punjab Government.
Jagjit Singh, President, B.Ed Federation while interacting with Media said that Parminder Singh Dhindsa has assured Joint Action Committee that pending amount would be released before 15th October.
Jagjit Singh added that if the amount wouldn't be released before 15th October then next action plan would be made in the next meeting of Joint Action Committee on16th October.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA while hiving ultimate to the Government said that if Government wouldn't release payment till 15th October than 3 lakh students and 50,000 staff of Unaided Colleges would organize a peace march from Colleges to District Headquarters.
Charanjit Walia, President, Nursing Colleges Association said that the worst part of the sorry state of the education in Punjab is that on the one hand the state government has not paid the scholarship amount under PMS on the other hand both the Technical Universities i.e IKG-PTU, Jalandhar and MRS-PTU, Bathinda; PSBTE-IT; BFUHS, Faridkot; GNDU, Amritsar are forcing colleges to pay registration fees and examination fees to the Universities of these SC OBC students.
Amarjeet Walia, Ayurvedic Association said that, Education should be made tax free. Education is a social cause but there many taxes and other charges charged from Institutions for stamp duties CLU Charges, EDC, Transport Taxes, VAT, Building access are being charged from all the Institutes.
Dr. J.S Dhaliwal further added that in 2014 our 65000 students applied for Scholarship under OBC category while 31000 applied for 2015-16.Since last many years students are applying and are not getting single penny while in Himachal Pradesh & Bihar, students are getting OBC Scholarships.

Pretty Bhullar belongs to small village Mirpur in Distt. Mansa has released his solo Punjabi track Chandigarh Di Police. Pretty Bhullar, who has a number of awards to his credit, including a number of them as best lyrics in school and college. His first song as lyricist was Chandigarh diya kudiya was super hit song in punjabi Industry and it was first song of Actor and Singer Ammy Virk. Pretty Bhullar’s song Verschae sung by Mankirat Aulakh, the dummy was leaked but was much liked by people. Recently his song Ignore sung by Harjot is going well in industry. But he is coming as a singer with his First solo song Chandigarh Di Police.
Pretty while interacting with media said that since the age of 9, he has been participating in various singing and dance competitions. Pretty said that he would like to connect to all kinds of audiences who are interested in youthful, soulful songs that give a message of life and love.  His next initiative would be to connect to the Punjabi audiences by trying his hand on a Punjabi number, Pretty informed the media, adding his desire is to continue contributing in the field of music by coming up with his own songs and also imparting education in the field.
