Rama to Teach Tathacharya a Lesson in Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama

Chandigarh 02nd May:- Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama continues to captivate the viewers where Rama is seen solving problems using his wittiness in a matter of seconds. In the upcoming track Rama (Krishna Bharadwaj) uses his ingenuity to find out the thug who duped Chakrapaani, an old teacher of Krishnadevaraya. 
Krishnadevaraya (Manav Gohil) refused to help Chakrapaani under the influence of Tathacharya. The King later feels bad and asks Rama to find out the thug. Rama using his wit finds out the thug and puts him in jail. Since it was Tathacharya (Pankaj Berry) who stopped Krishnadevaraya from helping Chakrapaani, Rama devises a plan to teach Tathacharya a lesson. Rama disguises as a fat guy and an old friend of Tathacharya. He meets Tathacharya in the market and gives him a bag of 1000 gold coins in front of everyone. However, when Tathacharya checks it the next day he finds out the bag full of stones. When the disguised Rama returns to take his money, Tathacharya refuses any foul play from his end and Rama goes to the court for justice.
In a conversation with Krishna Bharadwaj a.k.a. Rama said that it was really fun shooting this sequence where Rama disguises as a fat guy just to teach Tathacharya a lesson. It will be exciting to watch how effective will be Rama’s plan and whether Tathacharya will realize his mistake.


PGGC 11 Holds its 65th Annual Prize Giving Function

Chandigarh 02nd May:- The 65th Annual Prize giving function of PGGC 11 was celebrated with great fervour and zeal. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Secretary Finance, Chandigarh Administration, was the chief guest and RupinderJeet Singh Brar , PCS, Director of higher education, was the guest of honor in the function.
The chief guest gave away prizes to stellar achievers among which 49 students were given Roll of Honor for their distinction in various fields like Academics, NCC, NSS, Cultural Activities, blood donation and Sports. 169 students were awarded College Color for their outstanding performance in Academics, NCC, Sports, Cultural Activities, Blood Donation and efficient supervision of student council. Merit Certificates for Academic Achievements in their respective subjects were awarded to 375 students.
Ajoy Kumar Sinha encouraged the students to enjoy their achievements. He assured on opening of the first of its kind recruitment cell in the college.                        
Rupinderjeet Brar stressed at the importance of education and the role of teachers in nurturing the young minds.
Sanjay Tandon gave special cash prize of 11000rupees to Rohit Kumar (BA3) for his special achievement in NSS and he was also honored with Late. Captain Rohit Kaushal achievement award.

‘Animal Health Camp and Kisan Goshthi’ Held at Khuda Lahora

Chandigarh 02nd May:- The Animal Husbandry Department U.T. Chandigarh organised an ‘Animal  Health Camp and  Kisan Goshthi’ today at village Khuda Lahora, U.T. Chandigarh on the eve of “Farmers Welfare Day”(Kisan Kalyaan Diwas).
The Camp was presided over by Capt Karnail Singh, Director Animal Husbandry. In his address he appealed the farmers to adopt scientific practices of Animal Husbandry by keeping quality animals to increase their income. He also appealed them to coordinate with Animal Husbandry Department for attaining maximum benefits out of various Govt. Schemes.
On this occasion Dr. Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mohali, Punjab delivered a key note address on the subject of doubling farmers income through adopting various scientific methods of Animal Husbandry practices. The Veterinary Officers of the department also spoke on various topics like Animal Health Care, Animal Nutrition and Dairy Farming Management and also interacted with livestock owner on the issues concerning them.
Dr Kanwarjit Singh, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry revealed that this program has been organized to promote social harmony, reach out to poor rural households, obtain feedback on ongoing programmes, enrol in new initiatives, focus on doubling farmers income, enhance livelihood opportunities in regard to adoption of latest Animal Husbandry practices in Chandigarh.
Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is celebrating 2nd May 2018 as “Farmers Welfare Day” for disseminating information regarding interventions relating to development of Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries to Farmers, Self Help Groups, Individuals etc for doubling the income of farmers by 2020, through organizing Awareness Camps etc.
The Camp was attended by large number of progressive dairy farmers, self help groups, member of nearby village panchayat and public.


Alumni Meet Held at GGSCW

Chandigarh 02nd May:- Alumni of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women took a walk down the corridors of nostalgia on May 02, 2018 as the College organized an Alumni Meet. The event was a great opportunity for the alumni to reconnect with their old friends, batch mates, and teachers. It further provided a platform for the students to share their success stories and continue to strengthen their bond with the College. The Alumni Association created the verve of the days gone by as the alumnus was teary eyed at meeting their teachers and revisiting the campus.
A cultural event was organized for the Alumni, wherein they joined with students in playing games and made the day memorable for them. Dr Jatinder Kaur, Principal of the College graced the occasion.
Dr. Reena Parti, Convener Alumni Association extended the vote of thanks and urged the alumni to form an association that can work towards community service.

Arash Events organizes Fashion Show: Alisha Jain, Suman Ahuja & Saagar Bhatoa Declared Ms India, Mrs India & Mr. India North Royale

Contestants from various cities performed ramp walk and other many activites to showcase their wonderful talent. The fashion show was judged by Kamini Sharma, Sana Chandhok, Ricky Aulakah, Neha Bhambha, Baaz, Dr Gagandeep, Chitra Sharma, Kiaan Chhabra and Rudhveer. Special guest of the show was from MTV show ‘Date to Remember’, model Ashmaya and Anshul.
The audience was really excited and amazed by the various performances. It was really a Wonderful event and platform given to participants by organizers of show-Mrs Saanwali and Mrs Isha. Grooming of the contestants was done by Mohit Chaudhary MD of Exotic Models.
