Airtel Launches ‘GST Advantage’ for Small Businesses

Chandigarh 07th September:- Airtel Business, the B2B arm of India’s largest telecommunications service provider Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), today launched Airtel GST Advantage – a solution specifically designed to enable small businesses and start-ups to file their GST returns accurately, securely and seamlessly.
Launched in partnership with ClearTax, Airtel GST Advantage is being offered free to all existing Airtel Business customers, who simply need to register on www.airtel.in/gst-advantage
Ashok Ganapathy, Director & CEO –Airtel Business said that the new GST regime is a landmark reform for the Indian economy and with Airtel GST Advantage, we would like to enable small businesses with free filing of returns, and free and secure data access. Airtel is also the data hosting and connectivity partner for the Goods and Services Network (GSTN).

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha organises Programme in Village Dariya: 100 Youth Joined Yuva Morcha

Chandigarh 07th September:- Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha organized a programme in village Dariya in which about 100 youth joined the Yuva Morcha in the presence of BJYM President Gaurav Goel.
Gaurav Goel welcomed all of them and asked them to work with their full dedication for the betterment and expansion of the party.
On this occasion District No. 5 President Gurdeep Singh with the consent of Gaurav Goel appointed some of the office bearers of the district which included Rajvinder Singh &RoopakJha as Secretaries, Amarjeet Singh as Treasurer, Pawan Pal as Media Incharge, Anil Kumar, Sandy, Nikku Pandey, Rahul Kaushik, Parkash, Narinder Singh and Mohit as District Executive Members.
Other than this team of Mandal No. 29 was also announced in which Santu Singh as President, Dharminder as Vice-President, Raja Gupta as General Secretary and Jeet Gupta as Secretary were appointed.
BJYM National Executive Member Amit Rana, State General Secretary Mehakveer Sandhu, State Secretary Narinder Lubana, Rakesh Uppal and District General Secretary Arun Sharma were specially present in the function.



Magma Wins BT-CSR Excellence Award for “Highway Heroes”

Chandigarh 07th September:- Magma Fincorp Ltd., a leading asset finance company, has been awarded the prestigious BT-CSR Excellence Award 2017 for the unique CSR intervention – “Highway Heroes”. Magma topped the category in ‘Innovations in Corporate Social Responsibility Practices’. The award was handed over by Love Kumar, Spl. Superintendent of Police, NOIDA at a glittering ceremony in Delhi recently.
Highway Heroes- a programme under which Magma offers free training to truck drivers, with an objective to achieve three unique feats – Reducing environment pollution, increasing fuel efficiency and profitability of the truckers’ community and imparting safe driving skills, has recently completed the first phase in which 100699 drivers have received the training certified by Petroleum Conservation & Research Association (PCRA).
The BT-CSR Excellence Awards 2017 event drew over 330 entries from Private and PSU organizations and the awards function was attended by Ambassadors, Corporate honchos, MPs, bureaucrats and the CMDs of top public sector undertakings.
Kaushik Sinha, Vice President - Communications, CSR & Admin, Magma Fincorp Ltd. said that we are humbled by the recognition. Magma along with the Petroleum Conservation Research Authority had started this initiative in 2015 and has been continuously working for the well-being of the truckers. We have so far trained 1 lakh drivers across the nation and plan to train another 1.5 lakh in the next 3 years. We feel proud as it recognizes our continuous endeavor to help the weaker sections of the society.

Condolence Meet to Pay Tribute to Gauri Lankesh Held

Chandigarh 07th September:- A condolence meet to pay tribute to slain journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh was held today at Press Club, Sector 27 Chandigarh. The meeting was organized by National Media Confederation (NMC), Punjab & Chandigarh. It was supported by Chandigarh Press Club, Citizens Awareness Group and Women Welfare Trust.  Members from the media fraternity and supporters from various walks of life marked a presence at the meet.
At the meeting Deepak Kumar Dhingra, President of Chandigarh Management association (CMA) gave a brief history on the excellent work done by Gauri Lankesh with a special emphasis on her being the staunch critic of right wing Hindutava politics and her advocacy for the freedom of the press.    
The President of the NMC, (Pb& Chd chapter), Surinder Verma said that the killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh has raised alarms about the state of Freedom of Expression in the country. She had been dedicated to the cause of upholding the democratic values of the country. This murder is an assault on democracy. Ideological differences should lead to debate not physical violence. Ideas are bulletproof and thoughts cannot be suppressed through murders. The instance demands greater assertion of freedom of expression by everyone. The best way to react to this incident is by asserting our fundamental right to speech and liberty.
 Adding to it, Jaswant Rana, President, Press Club, Chandigarh said that she had been exposing politicians and superstitions. Many more journalists should take up the cause Gauri Lankesh was fighting for and they would find ample support from us. Her assassination must be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators brought to justice. Apart from this, request the concerned authorities to ensure security of journalists.
Gauri Lankesh, who was the editor of a weekly Kannada tabloid magazine Lankesh Patrike, was killed after being shot at least three times. She was shot by a helmet-wearing assailant while entering her home in Bengaluru.


आर्य समाज की पूर्व प्रधान वेद महाजन का आकस्मिक निधन

Chandigarh 07th September:- सेक्टर 7 बी स्थित आर्य समाज की पूर्व प्रधान  वेद महाजन के  आकस्मिक निधन से आर्य समाज ने दुःख व्यक्त किया।  वेद महाजन कई वर्षों से आर्य समाज सेक्टर 7 बी की सदस्या और उसके पश्चात् काफी समय तक प्रधान पद को सुशोभित करती रहीं। उन्होंने पुरुष आर्य समाज के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर पूरा सहयोग किया। अपने परिवार, संबंधियोंसमाज और  देश के प्रति अपनी अच्छी सोच से कुशल योगदान देती रहीं। उनके निधन से आर्य समाज सेक्टर 7बी को भारी क्षति हुई है।
आर्य समाज के प्रधान रविंद्र तलवाड़ ने बताया कि उनके स्वर्गीय पति संत कुमार महाजन भी कई वर्षों तक आर्य समाज के प्रधान पद पर रहे थे। वेद महाजन के परिवार के सदस्यों का आर्य समाज के प्रति अगाध लगाव है। पूरा परिवार मिलनसार है।
आर्य समाज के सचिव प्रकाश चंद्र शर्मा ने बताया कि वेद महाजन आर्यसमाज को तन मन धन से सहयोग करती थी। दीनदुखियों  और असहाय लोगों की सेवा की करने में हमेशा अग्रसर रहती थीं। 
प्रेस सचिव डॉ. विनोद कुमार ने  संतप्त परिवार के प्रति अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि उन्हें  समाज में  महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देने के लिये हमेशा याद रखा जायेगा।

Panjab University Extend Last Date of Admission upto September 15

Chandigarh 07th September:- Panjab University authorities have extended last date of admission with VC permission up to 15.9.2017 keeping in consideration their representations as they could not apply or attend counseling due to Gurmeet Ram Rahim case verdict which resulted to disturbed conditions in Punjab and other few places.
