Housing Societies Residents Welfare Federation Holds Dharna

Chandigarh 27th March:- A  dharna was organized by Housing Societies Residents Welfare Federation, (Regd), Chandigarh   today (Near Small Crossing of Sector 49-50) adjoining Young Dwellers Society Sector 49, Chandigarh, to highlight the issues of Society residents of Chandigarh. Presidents and others officer bearers from different societies participated in the Dharna, which was attended by around 300 persons in which problems of societies were discussed at large.
Prahlad Bhagat Vasudeva (Advocate), General Secretary of the Federation informed the members present in the meeting the Federation had proposed for the share wise / flat wise conveyance deed to the Administration, but the process of chunk of land adopted by the Administration shall make the process lengthy and more expensive, He stressed to make the process simple and helpful so that interested persons can take benefit and those not interested at this stage due to some reason or the other may not be compelled unnecessarily.
Rakesh Chopra, Press Secretary stressed that the relaxations given by the finance department for the purpose of obtaining completion certificates to the societies should also be considered for the sanction of revised plans to the societies.  Because the completion can be obtained only after sanction of revised plans if there are major changes in the societies.
Minakshi Chaudhary, legal Advisor of the Federation stressed for conversion of lease hold societies into freehold on priority basis.
Davinder Gupta, Chairman Housefed emphasized to create a temporary marked in these sectors till the permanent marked is not provided for the convenience of public.  He informed that residents of sector 50 are complled to travel at least 4 Kms to purchase even a matchbox.
In the end Kamal Kant Gupta, Chairman told that the Housing Society Federation is a totally non political body and is tirelessly working for the welfare of the area residents.  He felt sorry for the absence of area councilor from the dharna whereas when the previous dharna was organized by the Federation, the same was attended by the Mayor, and both the area councilors, He told the members that federation has a lot of hope and good expectation from both the area councilors, Mayor and Member Parliament to get the issues resolved at the earliest.
Kamal Kant Gupta, said that federation shall wait for 2 months but keep in touch with all the local leaders and in case nothing comes out during this period, we will chalk out our further line of action.

Tata Sampann organises 'Sampann Surprise' cook-off event at Chandigarh

The competition was judged by renowned Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and his wife Mrs. Alyona Kapoor.
The event, which was attended by many consumers, kicked off with a welcome address by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor who shared various tips and tricks on cooking with the audience present and spoke about the unique offerings by Tata Sampann. This was followed by an hour-long recipe competition among contestants. The event also saw chief guest Sanjeev Kapoor pamper his wife by cooking a special dish for her using Tata Sampann’s range of products and start the ‘goodness ki shuruaat’. Winners were then felicitated and gifted with Tata Sampann hampers.

Over 15000 Participate in BIG Chandigarh Marathon

The marathon was divided into two parts one for General Public 5km Run for Pride and other Half Marathon 21.1 kms for professional runners.    The Marathon generated tremendous response & wonderful life time experience for thousands of Chandigarhians. The highlight of the EXOTIC GRANDEUR Big Chandigarh Marathon season 5 was the entertainment quotient added by the presence of Celeb Stars like Gippi Grewal, Mandy Thakar, Karamjeet Anmol and Jaggi Singh.
21.1 Km Half Marathon Professionals Race was Flagged off in the presence of  dignitaries Mayor Chandigarh Asha Jaiswal,  Jitender Yadav , IAS (Special Secretary & Director Tourism) Roshan Lal ,CPS (SP Law & Order Chandigarh) from Chandigarh  Club Grounds.
Over 800 participants ran for the Half Marathon &  Amateurs, Students from Schools & Colleges, Employees, males & females, General Public including Sr Citizens turned out in 5 km SMART CITY RUN  as a part of biggest sports event of Chandigarh .The event saw maximum turnout in the 5 Km “Our City Our Pride” with residents of Tricity and many more joining from other neighboring states.
Big Chandigarh Marathon-Season 5 offered Prize money amounting to Rs 2.5 lakh for the winners in different categories in 21 Kms Half Marathon. The Half Marathon was a close race amongst elite runners. Finally winning top honour of half marathon being picked up by:

Rotary Club Chandigarh's Radio Programme to Focus on Good

Chandigarh 27th March:- Rotary Club of Chandigarh shall be starting a weekly 15-minutes radio programme "Voice of Good". 
The production studio for "Voice of Good" was launched here at the Rotary House today formally by the visiting District Governor of Rotary International District 3080 Raman Aneja and Past Rotary International President Rajendra K. Saboo, informed Club President Neenu Vij. 
The objective is to highlight not only the humanitarian projects being done by Rotary to serve the community but also those from Chandigarh who are engaged in contributing to the society. 
DG Raman Aneja complimented Rotary Club of Chandigarh to letting the community know about the contribution Rotary is making to the society. 
Past Rotary International President Raja Saboo said that the Club has always been innovating since its inception 1958 and now is the time to engage the community more extensively in doing good, which the 'Voice of Good' would be serving. 
President Neenu Vij informed that at the Rotary studio a weekly programme shall be produced and aired on All India Radio, as well as through internet. 
District Governor Raman Aneja who visited the Club on his official visit went around various projects undertaken by the Club especially the water, hygiene and sanitation project that it has initiated in various government schools in the city, where toilets have already been repaired and hand wash stations installed in Government schools in Sector 38 West and Sector 39. 
He also visited the 'Basta' project in Bapu Dham colony where nearly 100 girls have been enrolled for 'back to school' project and special classes are held for their education.

Maruti Suzuki Chosen as India's Most Reputed Automobile Brand-2017

Chandigarh 27th March:- Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer, has been ranked India’s Most Reputed Automobile Brand for 2017 in a study by BlueBytes. The study was done in association with TRA Research, both Comniscient Group companies. The second most reputed brand in the list is South Korea's Hyundai Motors, with a substantial 93% lower BrandRep Score than the leader. Honda came a close third with a BrandRep Score just 6% lower. The fourth, fifth and sixth positions are secured by BMW, Tata Motors and Ford Motors. Mercedes Benz ranked seventh, Volkswagen eight and Audi ranked ninth in the report. Japan's Toyota completed the top 10 in the list. A total of 42 automobile brands were listed with brands from 10 different countries featuring in the India’s Most Reputed Automobile Brands 2017 Report. Out of the 42 listed automobile brands, 7 each originated from India and Japan, 6 each from Germany and United Kingdom and 4 each from USA and Italy. The study evaluates Brand Reputation by analyzing media perception and consumer perception.
