Bajaj Allianz Life Creates Milestone with 45% Growth in New Business Premium in Punjab

Chandigarh 06th August:- Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company, one of India’s leading private life insurers, achieved a milestone by registering 45% growth in New Business Premium in the Punjab region in Q1 FY18-19 over the corresponding period of the last fiscal. The total sum assured has also witnessed a growth of 39% in the Q1 of the current year.
In Punjab the total number of policies stood at 1,137, registering a 13% growth as compared to 1,007 in Q1 FY17-18. In the region, the insurance company has also seen a 19% increase in its number of lives covered to 1,137 as against 954 in Q1 FY18.
 Commenting on the growth achieved by the company in the region, Bajaj Allianz Life’s MD and CEO Tarun Chugh said that our growth in the region is a testimony of the faith our customers have reposed on us. Goa Institute of Management to Host His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama

Chandigarh 06th August:- Goa Institute of Management (GIM), one of the premier B-schools, is celebrating 25 glorious years of imparting knowledge to the country’s future corporate leaders.
To kick off the year-long celebrations the management institute will be hosting His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama to the institute on the occasion of GIM Day.
His Holiness will deliver the key note address on the topic –Today’s Relevance of India’s Ancient Knowledge.
The Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is also be conducting a six month intense programme for the faculty and members on the Board of Governors of GIM which will commence this month. The programme is being conducted by The Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi, Director of the Ethics initiative and Javier Prieto, COO at The Centre at GIM’s expansive campus in Sanquelim, Goa.
The Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at MIT focuses on the development of interdisciplinary research and programs in varied fields of knowledge, from science and technology to education and international relations. The programs emphasize responsibility and examine meaningfulness and moral purpose between individuals, organizations, and societies. The Center was founded to honor the vision of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama and his call for a holistic education that includes the development of human and global ethics.
In its 25th year of operation GIM has forayed into newer areas. After careful study of the prevailing market for analytics education in the country consistent to GIM’s mission to nurture leaders for sustainable business, the B-school has decided to respond to the emerging paradigm of Big Data by incorporating it into its course structure and hasintroduced the Post Graduate Diploma in Big Data Analytics (PGDM-BDA) programme from this academic year 2018-19. The two-year full timeresidential course in Big Data Analytics is the only one of its kind in the country. Additionally, the institute has set up an incubation cell as part of the Atal Incubation Centre. The Centre will host Idealab 2018 - a startup event featuring over 300 startups – later this year in October. The institute has also initiated a joint choral performance along the Oxford University Choir which is scheduled to take place in December 2018.

श्री सनातन धर्म मंदिर सेक्टर 46 ने लगाया खीर पुड़े का लंगर

Chandigarh 06th August:- श्री सनातन धर्म मंदिर सेक्टर 46 में श्रावण के महीने को लेकर मंदिर कमेटी की ओर से प्रत्येक सोमवार को खीर पुड़े का लंगर लगाया जाता जा रहा हैI
मंदिर के पुजारी पंडित हरिकृष्ण ने बताया की प्रत्येक सोमवार को सुबह शिव पुराण कथा के साथ पूरा दिन मंदिर में पूजा पाठ का सिलसिला जारी रहता हैI श्री सनातन धर्म मंदिर कमेटी के प्रधान जतिंदर भाटिया ने बताया की उनकी कमेटी की ओर से मंदिर परिसर में श्रावण  के प्रत्येक सोमवार को सुबह 6 बजे से रात 9 बजे खीरपूड़े का लंगर लगाया जा रहा है I आज लगाए गए लंगर के मौके पर कमेटी के सदस्य बीआर शाहवाल, राकेश सेठी, संदीप शर्मा, डीपी गुप्ता और डीडी शर्मा ने लंगर की सेवा में अपना हाथ बंटाया I दिन भर जारी हल्की बारिश के बावजूद मंदिर में श्रावण के सोमवार को लेकर दिन भर  माथा टेकने वाले भक्तों का तांता लगा रहा और उन्होंने खीरपुड़े के लंगर का प्रसाद ग्रहण किया

PGI Director Inaugurates Next Generation Sequencing Facility

Chandigarh 06th August:- The Director, PGIMER, Prof. Jagat Ram, inaugurated the Next Generation Sequencing Facility in Advanced Pediatric Centre. The facility is dedicated to patient care and would immensely help in making important diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic decisions regarding various diseases especially inherited genetic conditions and cancers. CJI to Inaugurate 2-day Symposium on "Human Values and the Legal World”

Chandigarh 06th August:- Prasanthi Nilayam will witness one of the largest assemblages of jurists, Judges and legal luminaries at the conference on “Human Values and the Legal World” on 11th Aug and 12th Aug, organised by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations to generate views, ideas and suggest ways to strengthen judicial role and Human Values. The theme "Human Values and the Legal World" is an invitation to Bar, Bench and Academia from across the country to participate in the 2-day Symposium. To amplify this noble cause and enlighten the importance of human rights and values, the Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice Dipak Misra is himself addressing people at the inaugural ceremony.
The panel headed by Hon'ble Justice S. J Mukhopadhaya, Chairman, NCLAT and former Judge, Supreme Court of India along with other sitting judges of various High Courts of India shall deliberate on constitutional rights and human values.  Talks on the role of judiciary in advancing human values shall be delivered by Hon'ble Justice N.V Ramana, Judge, Supreme Court of India andHon'ble Justice Amitava Roy, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
Chief Justice Hon’ble Justice T.B.Radhakrishnan of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana shall chair a session on Ethics & Probity in the legal profession. The panel headed by Chief Justice Radhakrishnan shall consist of sitting Judges of various High Courts of India Program also entails felicitation of  M. N. R Venkatachaliah, Former Chief Justice of India & Former Chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai University. He is among many luminaries both at the bar and the bench who have been associated with Sri Sathya Sai Baba, His Institutions and His message.
Sri Sathya Baba has emphasised that proper study of Mankind is Man. His principles are based on five concrete pillars i.e. Sathya, Dharma, Prema, Shanti and Ahimsa. He regarded human beings as the supreme creation of God and that the human values are the essence of human being and each one should have opportunity not only to realise this inherent divinity but also the blossoming of human excellence.
The Preamble to the Constitution of India guarantees every Indian to excel in Human Excellence beyond caste, colour, creed, denomination and religion. India being a secular country is a boon to its people and the Judiciary has been custodian of human values and has played an important role in sustaining and upholding not only the Constitutional Rights of the citizens of India but also expanding the rights of its citizens.
