NASI, NABI & CIAB organizes Public Lecture on “Why Do We Flock Together”

Chandigarh 22nd May:- National Academy of Sciences India (NASI), Chandigarh chapter and National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) alongwithCentre of Innovative and Applied Processing (CIAB) co-organized a Public Lecture on “Why do we flock together by distinguish speaker Prof. Ajay K.Sood, FRS, President INSA. During his lecture he described his studies wherein how the subject in a big population flock together in a coherent manner and demonstrated the use of basic physic for the application in material physics and in different streams of sciences. In total, 350 people including30 school children, 45 college students from thelocal schools of Chandigarh, Panjab University, Chandigarh University,
IISER-Mohali and students, scientists and faculties form the neighbouring institutes such as INST, NIPER etc. also attended the above event. Dr T.R Sharma, Executive Director, NABI welcomed the speaker and the participants and briefly explained about the impact making technologies developed at NABI. Dr IBS Passi, Chairperson, NASI Chandigarh chapter, explained about various activities of NASI and introduced the speaker.After the presentation,Dr. K. N. Pathak  former Vice – Chancellor Punjab University whoPresided over the function appreciated  various activities of NASI and NABI related to popularization of science. During this session students raised many observations and queries related to the talk and had discussion with Prof. Sood.Subsequently, various technologies developed by NABI and CIAB were also showcased along with interactions with the delegates, visitors and school students.

Punjabi Movie ‘Jind Jaan’ Music Released

Chandigarh 22nd May:- The music of Punjabi film ‘Jind Jaan’ was released today at Chandigarh Press Club, while the movie is slated to be released on 14th June. Famous music director Gurmeet Singh, popular singer Lakhwinder Wadali, singer Mannat Noor, famous comedian Jaswinder Bhalla, Harbee Sangha, film producer Karan Agarwal and co-producer Dhiraj Bhandari were present at the press conference.
While interacting with media, the film team informed that not only the storyline of this movie, but music is also very impressive. Every song of this film will resonate in the mind of the viewers.
Music director Gurmeet Singh said that the movie is produced under the banner of ‘BRS Films’, while it is directed by Darshan Bagga. There are total seven songs in the film, which are penned by Maninder Kelley, Happy Raikoti, Daksh Ajit Singh and Harry Bakna. Happy Raikoti has writer four songs. The singers are Indrani, Maninder Kelley, Gurmeet Singh, Mannant Noor, Rajveer Jawanda and Lakhwinder Wadali. The main roles are played by Rajveer Javanda, Sara Sharma, Jaswinder Bhalla, Upasna Singh and Harabi Sangha.
Producer Karan Agrawal and co-producer Dhiraj Bhandari said that it was first Punjabi movie from their production house. It is an interesting mix of romance, comedy and family drama. Audience will get all the colours in this film. The trailer will be released soon. They are hopeful that people will love the film and its music.
Singer Mannant Noor said that she has given her voice to four songs, out of which the first song being released is ‘Saari Saari Raat’. Rajveer Javanda is the so-singer. The song is writer by Happy Raikoti, while Gurmeet Singh has given the music. Mannat Noor is hopeful that like her earlier songs, the listeners will find this song melodious.
Present on the occasion, singer Lakhwinder Wadali said that he had given his voice to a beautiful song ‘Tariya O Tariya’, which is penned by Daksh Ajit Singh. Comedian Jasvinder Bhalla and Harbi Sangha said that the audience will find them in totally different getup. They are against each other. But, what is the reason for their competition that could be seen only in the movie.

डी. पी. एस. जीरकपुर में छात्र - छात्राओं को डूडल कला से परिचित करवाया

Chandigarh 22nd May:- डूडल कला कार्यशाला एक  कलाकार को नए विचार और प्रेरणा देना है और गैर कलाकार के लिए आकांक्षा है जो रचनात्मक होना चाहता है और खुद को व्यक्त करते हैं I
डी. पी. एस. जीरकपुर में कनिका भारद्वाज ने  छात्र - छात्राओं को डूडल कला से परिचित करवाया तथा सबसे पहले छात्रों को अपनी इच्छा से चित्र बनाने के लिए दिया I तत्पश्चात काल्पनिक चित्र बनाने के लिए दिया I इस कार्यशाला  में छात्रों को तनावमुक्त रहने तथा इलैक्ट्रोनिक गैजेट्स से दूर रहने  के लिए एक प्रेरित किया I
इस कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य विभिन्न सामग्रियों ( जो स्कूल द्वारा प्रदान की गई थी ) पर हाथों से प्रशिक्षण के साथ डूडलिंग पर ज्ञान प्रदान करना था I

Anang Desai Enters Sony Sab’s Bhakharwadi

Chandigarh 22nd May:- Treating its viewers with sweet and sour flavors of relationships, just like the flavours of a Bhakharwadi, Sony SAB’s light-hearted comedy show Bhakharwadi is ready to bring in some very exciting turns for its viewers. With Abhishek (Akshay Kelkar) and Gayatri’s (Akshita Mudgal) love story progressing, there is a trouble hovering over Anna (Deven Bhojani) with the entry of this new character.
Adding to the plot, Bhakharwadi brings in the character of the ‘dead old man’, played by the phenomenal actor Anang Desai. Amidst all the excitement and preparations for Abhishek and Gayatri’s engagement, Anna has landed into some trouble. The old man portrayed by Anang Desai, wished to eat Gokhale Bandhu’s Bhakharwadi while on his death-bed. However, due to unavailability of the same, he is fooled and given Chinese Bhakharwadi from Mahendra’s shop, albeit in Gokhale Bandhu packaging. As Anna comes to know of the fact that an old man has died without his last wish being fulfilled, he is petrified of being cursed by the man’s unsatisfied soul and starts dreaming of the dead old man haunting him.
Anang Desai, playing the role of the dead old man said that he is very excited to be a part of the Bhakharwadi team as everyone is extremely talented, hardworking and are doing an amazing job on screen. His character is a really interesting one as he is a man who demands for Gokhale Bandhu’s Bhakharwadi while on the death bed. While this character is bound to haunt Anna, it will surely leave the audience laughing with its quirky mannerisms.

9 Year Old Tejas Verma Reminds Rekha of Shahrukh Khan's Childhood on Super Dancer Chapter 3

Chandigarh 22nd May:- Sony Entertainment Television's acclaimed kid dance reality show Super Dancer Chapter 3 has reached a milestone where top 10 contestants are striving hard day and night to win next ‘Dance ka Kal’. While the show is judged by Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Geeta Kapoor, and Anurag Basu the upcoming weekend episode will see celebrity guest judge Rekha encouraging the contestants. The ‘Jashn-ae-Rekha’ moment on the show made audiences and the judges cherish the evergreen performances of ‘Bollywood queen’ Rekha.
During the performance of 9-year-old contestant, Tejas Verma and Tushar Shetty from Maharashtra on Rekha’s popular song ‘Rang Barse’ all the judges and the audiences enjoyed celebrating Holi across the sets. The colorful performance of Tejas made Rekha go down the memory lane and share some beautiful stories. Tejas’s out of the world expressions made Rekha relate him to Shahrukh Khan. She mentioned that Tejas reminds her of Shahrukh Khan. The way he smiles exactly resembles Shahrukh’s smile. Tejas has the same eyes and lips which makes him look like Shahrukh’s twin.  She further added that the way he dances is beyond her imagination. It will take her almost 2 -3  lives to do Riyaaz and then perform in front of such perfectionist kids.
Appreciating the Guru Tushar Shetty Rekha mentioned that while training Tejas you have come a long way in the entire Super Dancer journey. Tejas is your key to your future who will take you to milestones ahead.
Further, in the show, Rekha was seen shaking legs with the judges,  contestants and super gurus on some of her popular songs like ‘Salam Ae Ishq’ and ‘Rang hai raseela’.

GSA Celebrates World Hypertension Day: Blood Pressure of More than 200 Patients Checked by Indus Hospital

Chandigarh 22nd May:- Generation Saviour Association, on the occasion of World Hypertension Day, organized a health checkup camp in collaboration with Indus Hospital where blood pressure of more than 200 people was checked. The special invitee of the day, Dr G B Singh, Assistant Director, Department of Health and Family Welfare Punjab, while addressing the gathering stressed on the need to get ones blood pressure checked regularly. He said that the best way to be informed about your blood pressure is to check it regularly, by a certified medical practitioner”. Pressing upon the role of diet in hypertension control Dr G B Singh, who also heads the NCD control program said, “Diet modification is an essential step towards controlling hypertension. One should reduce the intake of Tras fat and sodium rich food for a healthy life.
On this occasion, Opinder Preet Kaur Gill, President of the organization said that the aim of the health check up camp is to spread awareness about high blood pressure as unmanaged hypertension can lead to a heart attack, stroke, and other problems. She further added that despite the condition being so common, people tend to ignore the common signs and symptoms of hypertension. Almost one-third of people who have high blood pressure aren't aware of the same because high blood pressure often shows no symptoms.
The theme for this year’s World Hypertension Day is Know Your Numbers with a goal of increasing high blood pressure (BP) awareness in all populations around the world.

मीरी पीरी संस्था ने शिरोमणि कमेटी, श्री अकाल तख़्त साहिब और पंजाब सरकार से जोगिन्दर सिंह भसीन को सम्मानित करने की मांग की

Chandigarh 22nd May:- अकाल पुरुख  की हज़ूरी में रोज़ाना की जाने वाली अरदास में शामिल पंक्तियाँ "हे अकाल पुरख अपने पंथ दे सदा सहाई दातार जीओ ।श्री ननकाना साहिब ते होर गुरूद्वारेगुरुधामा देजिणां नूं पंथ चो विछोड़िया गया हैखुले दर्शन दीदार ते सेवा संभाल दा दान खालसा जी नू बख्शो।देश विदेश में गुरु नानक नाम लेवा प्राणियों व् विशेष तौर पर सिख कौम द्वारा करोड़ों अरबों बार पढ़ी सुनी जाती हैलेकिन ये यादगारी पंक्तियाँ लिखने वाले शख्स से मौजूदा समय में बेहद ही कम लोग अवगत है ।वास्तव में अरदास में यह पंक्तियाँ देश के विभाजन के बाद वर्ष 1948 में शामिल की गयी ।1947 के विभाजन के दौरान अधिकतर गुरुधामों और अन्य यादगारों के पाकिस्तान में रह जाने के पश्चात् शिरोमणि गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के तत्कालीन सचिबबों हरनाम सिंह व् रवेल सिंह द्वारा कमेटी के कर्मचारी जोगिन्दर सिंह भसीन को अरदास में कुछ ऐसी नई पंक्तियाँ शामिल करने के लिए कहा गया,जिसके जरिये बड़ी संख्या में पाकिस्तान में रह गए ऐतिहासिक गुरुद्वारों के लिए सिख कौम का दर्द बयाँ किया जा सके।
मौजूदा समय में चंडीगढ़ में रह रहे जोगिंदर सिंह भसीन (94) ने पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए बताया की उनका जनम पाकिस्तान के मौजूदा जिला चक्कवाल के गाँव नीला में हुआ और प्राथमिक शिक्षा उन्होंने गाँव के सरकारी स्कूल और मेट्रिक और ज्ञानी अमृतसर से की । जोगिन्दर सिंह भसीन ने कहा कि वाहेगुरु जी की दया मेहर से उन्हें ये पंक्तियां लिखने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ। अरदास की लिखी पंक्तियां आज साकार होती दिख रही हैजिसके सदका पाकिस्तान की धरती पर बने पहली पातशाही के गुरुद्वारा ननकाना साहिब के दर्शन दीदार हेतु करतारपुर कॉरिडोर अब खुलने जा रहा है। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि उनकी सच्चे पातशाह के आगे अरदास है कि पाकिस्तान में स्थित अन्य गुरुधाम के भी दर्शन दीदार के लिए आने जाने का मार्ग अपनी संगत को प्रशस्त करें।
वहीँ इस मामले को जन जन तक पहुँचाने और प्रमुखता से आगे लाने वाले मीरी पीरी डेवलपमेंट व् वेलफेयर सोसाइटी के अध्यक्ष जसविंदर सिंह ने बताया की उन्होंने शिरोमणि कमेटीश्री अकाल तख़्त साहिब और पंजाब सरकार को पत्र लिख कर मांग की है कि जोगिन्दर सिंह भसीन को उनकी बहुमूल्य और यादगारी सेवाओं के लिए विशेष सम्मान भेंट किया जाये।
