MTPA India Conduct Roadshow in Chandigarh

Chandigarh 27^th February:- MTPA India conducted a five city Roadshow in Chandigarh, Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Kolkata from 27th February to 4th March 2017. The objective of the event was to offer Indian travel partners an opportunity to become acquainted with the destination and meet the hoteliers, DMCs and activity companies.

Sanjay Sondhi, Managing Director, OM Tourism said that this Roadshow will serve as a great platform for the Indian tour operators to have a meaningful dialogue with the 23 suppliers from Mauritius that include hotels, DMCs and activity companies.

The Roadshow was led by Vivek Anand, Country Manager; MTPA India said that the response of the travel trade partners was amazing. The objective of the Roadshow was to update the travel fraternity and help them forge business ties with the Mauritius suppliers. He added that we have seen a growth of 15% in Indian tourist arrivals last year, taking the number to 83,000. We are targeting 100,000 tourists in 2017, which is an increase of 20% over 2016. We expect a healthy growth in the MICE and Wedding segment and will be promoting Mauritius as a destination ‘Beyond the Beach’. More and more Indian travelers are planning to travel to the affordable luxury destination, Mauritius. We are getting enquiries for a few Indian weddings. Producers are also showing interest in shooting Bollywood movies in Mauritius.

Vivek Anand, while describing the tagline “Mauritius- It’s a pleasure” said that Mauritius offers amazing activities for adventure lovers like sky diving, zip lining, quad biking, sea karting, submarine rides, helicopter tours and also a life time experience of walking with the lions. Book on Law Entrance Released in City

Y.A.R.O ka Tashan:Mr. X to Put Mumbai in Danger

Chandigarh 27^th February:- The new superhero in the town, ‘Yo-Man’ (Aniruddh Dave) is seen helping cops and fighting the goons in the show Y.A.R.O ka Tashan which airs on SAB from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm. Yo-Man has to crack yet another problem. But this time he will have to deal with Mother Nature. A sudden weather change in Mumbai is about to cause major disruption. At the same time, the Friends Colony is in party mood as they gear up to celebrate Mr and Mrs Agarwal (Rakesh Bedi and Malini Kapoor) 25^th wedding anniversary. But Mr. X is keeping a close watch on all the carousal.  

In the forthcoming track, Mr. X (Ajay Sharma) who has been playing his tactics to control the city, he invents a new machine which has the ability to drastically change the weather of any location. With this ‘snow storm’ machine, he can make Mumbai colder by the minute, so much so that there will be snowfall and temperature as low as -20 degrees. Things will start to freeze everywhere; people will start falling seriously ill and even dying. By doing this, he plans to hold the government at ransom, only once his demands are meant will he let the city live its routine life. Yo-Man is amidst this chilly situation where he wants his parents to have the best anniversary celebration ever but also wants to find out the reason behind this weather change.

Commenting on the episode, Ajay Sharma a.k.a Mr. X said that he wish it could happen in real and Mumbai would get snowy but not the way Mr. X is planning. It was great fun shooting these tracks though some part of it was graphics. The best part was Mr. X get to control the weather in Mumbai. He loved the feeling where he could control the weather at least on screen. The visuals of this track will be a treat to watch and he is sure it would be appealing to the audiences too.

St.Joan’s Public School Organizes Competition Mom ‘n’ Me for Kids

Kids participated in the various competitions like ‘Toddler’s Trot, most healthy baby, Artist of the day. The parents participated in the most aware parent competition. Sanvi Matta and Anish Verma were the winners at Toddler’s Trot and the prize for the most aware parent grabbed by Mrs and Mr. Tarun Bansal.

PGI Faculty Wins Best Paper Award

Chandigarh 27^th February:- Dr Madhu Gupta, Additional Professor of Community Medicine in School of Public Health has received  Dr R N Roy Award for the best paper published in Indian Journal of Public Health in the 61st National Conference of Indian Association of Public Health which was held in AIIMS Jodhpur. Her paper has reported inequities in awareness and utilization of reproductive and sexual health services among adolescents in Chandigarh, North India.

Chandigarh 27^th February:- Chairman of Sarthi Cheritable Trust Nand Lal  donated many books of great men to Maharishi Dayanand Public School Daria, Chandigarh. It includes Maharana Pratap, Jawaharlal Nehru,Narayan Murti,  Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, Bhagwan Mahavir, J.P. Narayan, Lala Lajpat Roy, Sachin Tendulkar, Tatyan Tope, Satyajit Ray, Chanakya, Dhirubhai Ambani, Leo Tolstoy, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mandela, Amartya Sen, Sarojini Naidu, Aurobindo, Vallabhbhai Patel, Jim Corbett, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, etc. Many biographies books of great men in Hindi and English presented to the school library.

School principal Dr. Vinod Kumar said that books of great men given by Nand  Lal will inspire the students. He thanked  Nand Lal for donating  books for the library.

SIDBI to Handhold Newly Formed Capital Small Finance Bank

Chandigarh 25^th February:- Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding  Capital Small Finance Bank (CSFB) whereby it will handhold the newly formed Small Finance Bank  to enable it  provide  concessional finance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

The MoU is aimed at promoting and strengthening the MSMEs especially in the Micro & Small Enterprise segment through a multipronged strategy comprising concessional funding at MCLR of CSFB (presently 9.6%) under Refinance from SIDBI, Joint financing / Co-financing, Cluster Development and Capacity Building of CSFB officials. It is also envisaged that joint financing / co-financing of MSME for capital expenditure under "SIDBI Make in India Soft Loan Fund for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises”, popularly known as SMILE, at a concessional rate of 9.60% by SIDBI along with Working  Capital finance from CSFB at competitive rate, would be pursued proactively. The resources and expertise of SIDBI in MSME financing and outreach of CSFB in MSME clusters of Punjab are proposed to be leveraged. This initiative of SIDBI and CSFB will go a long way in creating a conducive ecosystem for MSME desirous of accessing concessional / composite funding in the State of Punjab. Further, SIDBI and CSFB shall also explore ways and means to enhance reach and use of facilities provided under the Government of India’s Stand up India scheme and the Stand up India / Udyami Mitra portals created by SIDBI for MSME sector.

Besides, the MoU also envisages that the Promotional and Developmental activities of SIDBI could be taken up jointly with CSFB for the benefit of MSME in areas of Skill development, technology and financial linkages, human resources development, adoption of best practices by MSME, including cluster based interventions in areas of technology, energy efficiency, energy saving, etc. and for promoting Digital Financial Inclusion initiatives. It may be pertinent to mention that SIDBI plays an important role in the promotional and developmental space for the benefit of the MSMEs.

Speaking on the occasion, S S Samra, Managing Director CSFB said that CSFB has taken several steps in the last year to proactively reach out to the micro and small enterprises and has accordingly been expanding it branch network continuously. The MoU with SIDBI shall give a further boost to the MSE segment by reducing cost of credit for the small borrowers.

Manoj Mittal, Deputy Managing Director, SIDBI, while speaking on the occasion outlined the various initiatives taken in the recent past by SIDBI for enhancing credit flow to MSE Sector viz., Stand Up India Portal for providing an online market place for accessing finance and handholding support to SC/ST and Women entrepreneurs for setting up Greenfield projects with loan requirement from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 100 lakh, provide quasi-equity /equity to startup ventures under Fund of Fund operations, setting up of National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company (NCGTC) for guaranteeing loans in sectors such as skill development, education, MUDRA, factoring, etc. thereby boosting institutional credit flow to these sectors. Manoj Mittal also mentioned that SIDBI considers Small Finance Banks as natural partners of SIDBI in improving access to credit by MSME and expressed confidence that the MoU will go a long way not only in providing the much needed fillip to the objective of "MSME Credit @ Corporate Rates", but also improvement in the MSME ecosystem. He further added that SIDBI, as a proactive step has taken initiatives to handhold the Small Finance Banks for the overall benefit of the ecosystem.

Arya Samaj Celebrates Mahashivrstri as Rishi Dayanand Bodh Utsav

शिव भक्त सेवा दल ने धूमधाम से मनाया शिवरात्रि का त्यौहार

Chandigarh 25^th February:- शिव भक्त सेवा दल सेक्टर 56 चण्डीगढ़ द्वारा शिवरात्रि का त्यौहार बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया गया।  इस मौके पर प्रधान वीर सिंह राणा ने बताया कि  शिवरात्रि पर्व में भक्तों को ढूध, बेर व केले का प्रसाद में बांटा गया। इस मौके शिव भक्त्त सेवा दल के सदस्य नरेश ठाकुर, राजू करियाना, विशाल संजीव शर्मा,भालचंद आदि भी मौजूद रहे।
